The state attorney general’s ballot title for Referendum 74 is being challenged in court by the non-partisan League of Women Voters of Washington and Parents, Families, and Friends of Gays and Lesbians (PFLAG). In a suit filed February 27 in Thurston County Superior Court, supporters of marriage equality argued that the language “is not neutral, but instead creates prejudice toward the measure – such as the term ‘redefine marriage’ – one of the oft-used sound bites of advocates opposed to same-sex marriage.” As it stands, here is the current proposed language by the attorney general: “The bill would redefine marriage to allow same-sex couples to marry, apply marriage eligibility requirements without regard to gender, and specify that laws using gender-specific terms like ‘hussee ballot page 20

New study highlights condom Sally Clark is first Gay use in young Gay and Bi men City Council president

by Shaun Knittel SGN Associate Editor A new study by researchers at Indiana University and George Mason University provides a large-scale assessment of condom use during the most recent anal intercourse among Gay, Bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) in the United States.

According to the authors, findings from this study “highlight diversity in condom use behaviors and demonstrate varying degrees of potential risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, regardless of sexual orientation.” The study, published online ahead of print in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, tapped the largest sample of its kind in the U.S.

Clark speaks about her life and Gay marriage

Sally Clark became the first Gay Seattle City Council president when councilmembers unanimously elected her to the position in January. Clark is the fourth openly Gay councilmember in Seattle history. Preceding her are current councilmember Tom Rasmussen and former members Sherry Seattle City Council President Sally Clark Harris and Tina Podlodowski. The city is represented outstanding candidate.
