women actors who are also of appropriate ethnic background to the characters (Arab or Muslim) – Alaji and Fathiya Ritter, and hired a newly transplanted-from-California Arab director, Lia Sima Fakhouri. They added set designer Parmida Ziaei, who created a dorm room that seamlessly transformed into a hotel room, fun collegeage appropriate costuming by Sadiqua Iman, and solid sound design by Johanna

Seattle Men’s Chorus kicked off their holiday concert tradition in Seattle on Sunday, December 9 with “Jingle All the Way.” It’s a truly sensational and inspirational evening at Benaroya Hall in downtown Seattle. The jolly atmosphere is sweetened by the top-notch singing and the hall’s warm acoustics. The Seattle Film Critics Society has announced nominations for the 2018 Seattle Film Critics Society Awards, honoring the best in film for 2018. Leading the field with 11 nominations is Yorgos Lanthimos’ spellbinding comedy, The Favourite,
earning nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actress (Olivia Colman), and two Best Actress in a Supporting Role nominations for stars Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz.
