TAKE ME OUT STRAWBERRY THEATRE WORKSHOP Through June 22
As Summer Solstice hits Seattle and the annual Pride Parade approaches, Seattle Men’s Chorus (SMC) leaps into summer by storming the Benaroya Hall stage to celebrate the Summer of ’69. Woodstock, the moon landing, Vietnam war protests and the Stonewall Riots all occurred that same year and churned into an era of rebellion and change.
SMC transports audiences back to a vibrant psychedelic time when turntables and transistor radios were “where it’s at.” The repertoire includes a selection of chart-topping culture-defining hits from Marvin Gaye, Three Dog Night, Sly & the Family Stone and The 5th Dimension.
