Ve’ondre Mitchell Seattle teen named as Youth Ambassador for Human Rights Campaign
The Human Rights Campaign announced on Monday, December 7, that Ve’ondre Mitchell (she/her) from Seattle, Washington has been named a member of the 2021 class of HRC Foundation Youth Ambassadors, joining nine other LGBTQ advocates across the country. HRC Foundation Youth Ambassadors serve two-year terms, and this is Ve’ondre’s first year.

Mayor Jenny Durkan: I’ve had enough! Won’t run for reelection

by Mike Andrew SGN Staff Writer Embattled Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan announced on December 7 that she will not run for re-election in 2021.
In a video announcing her decision, Durkan said she wanted to focus on getting Seattle through the COVID-19 pandemic rather than running for re-election.
