WASHINGTON, DC (August 2, 2019) – Today, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization, praised an executive order issued in North Carolina adding some protections for youth from the danger-
ous, debunked practice known as “conversion therapy.” The order prohibits the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services from using taxpayer funds on socalled “conversion therapy” for minors.
