Victory for HRC-backed candidates Rev. Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff in Georgia Senate runoffs
ATLANTA (January 6, 2021) – Yesterday, Human Rights Campaign (HRC)-endorsed candidates emerged victorious in Georgia. Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock won their elections to the United States Senate in the January 5th dual Senate runoff, defeating incumbent Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

25th Amendment Sen. Murray calls for removal of President Trump from office

WASHINGTON, DC (January 7, 2021) – Today, US Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) issued the following statement on Congress resuming its constitutional duty to certify the election after a violent mob of President Trump’s supporters attacked the US Capitol, calling for the 25th Amendment to be invoked immediately to prevent President Trump from inciting further harm in the days ahead:
“Congress is continuing the process of certifying the election, but only after a day of chaos and violent extremism in the Capitol where some of our worst fears about the harm this President is willing to incite were realized. “We need questions answered about the profound breakdown in security and the stark difference in the treatment of

Statement by Pride at Work Executive Director, Jerame Davis, on the attack on the US Capitol on Wednesday: “What we’re witnessing at the Capitol today is nothing less than an attack on our country and on our people brought to life by a president who refuses to accept that millions turned out to elect Joe Biden by overwhelming margins.
“Let there be no doubt, this is what terrorism looks like: an angry mob violently invading our Capitol and threatening our elected leaders, even the very Republican leaders – who egged them on. “We are here today due to the cheering of some Republicans and the silence of others.
