Public Housing Residents Only GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION This classification will assist in providing a safe environment for residents at an assigned development. The Building Concierge classification exercises no supervision. Observes and enforces SFHA rules and regulations. Observes and enforces SFHA rules and regulations. This position is unrepresented and receives general direction from the Security Coordinator or designee assigned supervisory or management personnel. Exercises no supervision of staff. The Building Concierge will perform duties as follows:  20 – 36 hours per week work shifts;  Serves as a uniformed security station operator;  Operates controls to gated communities, as appropriate;  Require valid identification of all persons entering the community;  Allows properly identified persons to enter; denies entry to those without proper identification;  Prevents or denies entry to persons who are: o not welcomed by residents; o recipients of current stay-away orders; or o seeking entry without apparent reason.  Works in concert with local police, resident anti-crime efforts, and supplemental security services, as appropriate;  Prepares, submits and files daily reports on crime, suspicious or unusual occurrences;  Exchanges pertinent information to coworkers and area management staff to promote neighborhood safety;  Provides frequent updates regarding events in the assigned area to security personnel; \\fps00\users$\oskoueip\My Documents\New folder (4)\Building Concierge Job Announcement (Temporary) October 31 2011.doc

Monitors security cameras; Preserves the confidentiality of the resident information roster with regards to names, addresses, telephone numbers, etc; Establishes and maintains positive relations with residents, resident organizations, community groups and agencies;
