DIRECTOR OF CATERING & MANAGING PARTNER
Molly Kennedy
Molly was born and raised in Orchard Park, New York, and in 1990 graduated from Paul Smith’s College with a degree in Hospitality Management. She began her career working for celebrity chef Jimmy Schmidt at the acclaimed Rattlesnake Club in Detroit, Michigan, and spent eight years opening restaurants with him in Michigan and Colorado. In October 1996, Molly relocated to Hilton Head Island and transitioned into Catering and Event Planning. She launched Catering Concepts in Palmetto Dunes and, in 2002, was hired by The Lowrey Group to establish Celebrations Catering & Events. In November 2018, she joined The SERG Group to help create Signature Catering & Special Events.
Molly and Executive Chef Andy Borgmeier have collaborated through all three ventures, working together for 25 years. Their team has been recognized by The Knot in its “Best of Weddings” category for over 15 years and was inducted into The Knot’s “Hall of Fame” in 2013—an honor awarded to fewer than 2% of listed vendors. Most recently, they were named Favorite Catering Company by Hilton Head Monthly’s Reader’s Choice Awards.
Beyond her passion for faith, family, career, and the Buffalo Bills, Molly’s greatest joy is her son, Torin—a blessing she treasures deeply and thanks God for each day.
EXECUTIVE CHEF & MANAGING PARTNER
Andy Borgmeier
Andy’s passion for the fast-paced culinary world began with his first high school job at a wholesale seafood market in New York City’s Fulton Fish Market. While delivering fresh seafood to more than 25 restaurants, he developed a deep respect for the chefs he encountered. Inspired to elevate his interest, Andy enrolled at Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina. During his studies, he completed an externship at the Rihga Hotel in New York City before finishing his degree at Johnson & Wales in Providence, Rhode Island.
Drawn to the Lowcountry, Andy moved to Hilton Head Island to become Chef Tournant at the Hyatt Regency, training under Executive Chef Felenczak. There, he worked as Chef de Garde Manger, mastering ice carving, and later as Banquet Chef, preparing meals for up to 1500 guests—including President Bill Clinton under the close watch of the Secret Service.
Pursuing his passion for catering, Andy became Executive Chef for Catering Concepts, then Celebrations Catering & Events, and now Signature Catering & Special Events. Over his 23year tenure, he developed a state-of-the-art show kitchen, became the Island’s only catering chef accredited by the Sustainable Seafood Initiative, and launched Hilton Head’s first series of hands-on, interactive cooking classes at his Learning Kitchen.

We custom-tailor each experience to reflect your unique needs, style, and goals, ensuring your event is not only successful but truly unforgettable.
How do you charge for your services?
Catering services are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, as each event is unique. Typically, food and beverage menus are priced per person, plus a 24% service charge and applicable South Carolina sales tax. Staffing—such as servers, bartenders, chefs, and event or wedding coordinators—is essential to ensuring a seamless and successful experience. Because no two events are the same, a member of our sales team will collaborate with you to determine the appropriate staffing levels and related costs, based on your event’s size, format, and service style.
How do I secure your services?
What is the pricing structure & deposit schedule?
To secure our services, a non-refundable security deposit and a credit card on file are required for guarantee purposes. Vendor deposits arranged by Signature Catering & Special Events on behalf of the client are due once vendors are secured and pricing is confirmed. Fifty percent (50%) of estimated charges is due 90 days prior to the event. Final guest count and full payment are due 14 days before the event. Payments may be made by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. Payments made within 14 days of the event must be by cash, credit card, money order, or cashier’s check.
*A 3.4% credit card processing fee applies.

Do you offer wedding packages?
We believe every wedding should be a true reflection of your individual style, personality, and love story. Instead of offering packages, we work closely with you to craft a personalized celebration that perfectly captures your vision. Our dedicated team is committed to making your wedding day as unforgettable and special as you are. With creativity, care, and expert planning, we bring your dreams to life, ensuring your wedding is truly one-of-a-kind.
What is included in your wedding coordination services?
Our full coordination services include comprehensive support from the moment you book until your wedding day is complete. You’ll be paired with a dedicated wedding specialist who will assist with creating timelines, floor plans and vision boards, managing vendor communication, overseeing logistics, and leading the rehearsal. On your wedding day, your coordinator will be on-site to manage the setup, keep the timeline on track, and ensure every detail is executed as planned— allowing you to relax and enjoy your day.
Will you help book outside wedding vendors?
Yes, we can secure some or all of your wedding vendors on your behalf. This can include florists, photographers, entertainment, transportation, etc. We work directly with each vendor to sign contracts on your behalf, pay deposits, manage all planning details, and oversee setup and teardown on the day of your event. Vendor services are billed at the vendor’s actual cost plus a 25% organizational fee. This fee covers the time and effort required to coordinate vendors and manage all related planning and day-of logistics. Many of our brides, especially those planning from out of town, find this fee valuable, as it significantly reduces their planning workload.
*We do recommend allowing your specialist to handle rental equipment such as tables, chairs, china, glassware, and silverware, since guest counts often change and managing these updates can be challenging.
Can you accommodate cultural or religious traditions?
We value and respect all cultural and religious traditions and are happy to incorporate meaningful elements into your wedding. Whether that includes specific menu items, ceremonial practices, or unique event flow, our team will work closely with you to honor and reflect your traditions throughout your celebration.
What time does our reception have to end?
Please note that each venue is subject to its own local noise ordinances and regulations, which must be adhered to during your event. Our team is happy to assist you in understanding and complying with these requirements to ensure a smooth and enjoyable celebration.

Is there special pricing for children & vendor meals?
For most buffet and food station menus, children aged 4 to 12 receive a 50% discount off the adult price. Children 3 years and younger are complimentary. Children over 12 are charged at the adult rate.
*Please speak with your sales specialist to confirm pricing.
For weddings with plated meals, we offer a variety of special children’s plated options starting at $25++/per child. If a child orders the same plated meal as an adult, the adult menu price will apply. We provide a chef’s selection of chilled or hot boxed meals for vendors at $30++/per person. If a vendor receives the same meal as guests, the guest menu price applies.
*Please note that many vendors have specific meal requirements. For any vendors you book independently, please verify all food and beverage needs in advance.
Are rentals included?
Rentals are not automatically included but can be arranged through our team as part of your planning process. We’re happy to coordinate all necessary rental items, such as tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, glassware, etc, based on your event’s specific needs and guest count.
Do you offer menu tastings?
Signature Catering & Special Events offers a limited number of menu tastings for weddings. Dinner styles may include buffet, food stations, or plated service.
Tastings, when available, are scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays at our Interactive Kitchen located on Hilton Head Island, SC. Off-season Saturday tastings may be possible. Requests must be made at least one month in advance and are subject to the Chef’s availability.
Tastings are not offered during peak wedding months: March through June and September through November. The cost of a tasting is $75++/per person. Payment is due in advance by check or credit card.

How do I learn more about specific costs for my wedding?
Your wedding sales specialist will create a customized proposal tailored to your unique vision and preferences, based on your wish list and budget goals. We’ll work closely with you to refine this proposal as needed, making up to 3 adjustments to your proposal, to ensure it fits your needs perfectly. Once you’re ready, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure our services. From that point forward, your specialist will continue to guide you, managing every detail to bring your dream wedding to life.

Signature Catering Events by SERG is second to none. We are from Ohio so we thought there could be some challenges planning a wedding in Savannah GA. Tracey with SERG made the process so easy on our end. She gave us first rate service and was instrumental in our wedding day. The food that the Chef made is delicious and highly recommended. My husband and I hosted a welcome reception for 94 people the night before our son’s wedding. I can not say enough good things about Signature Catering, especially Susan and Delaney. Susan really listened to my ideas for the evening and was considerate of our budget– we decided on a Carolina BBQ with all the fixings, everyone raved about the food, everything was delicious!
Delaney was our event coordinator, I had many questions along the way since I was planning this event longdistance from NJ, my phone calls were always answered with a cheery voice on the other end with a quick answer or solution– Delaney even came out to the venue the day of the party to help us with set-up logistics.
The staff that night was very professional, friendly and helpful– they used some of my decorations as requested to carry my theme throughout the buffet stations along with pretty floral touches of their own so the food tables looked beautiful and inviting. The service was top-notch. I highly recommend Signature Catering, everything from start to finish was fantastic. We felt like Susan and Delaney really cared about us and wanted our event to be special and it truly was!

Thank you for an amazing job on our Thanksgiving Potluck Lunch! Everyone was raving about how delicious everything was and there was plenty of food. We are enjoying leftovers today. Kris, Kayley and Beth did a superb job getting everything set up and had us well organized!

Everything was fantastic; the food AND the staff. We were so spoiled with such amazing food that our guests asked if they could bring home to-go bags! I have never had that happen at one of my retreats, which says a lot about your food. I simply can’t say enough good things about our wedding caterer. From the first visit to sample our choices to the actual execution it was flawless. The taste test was awesome. Great job by the Chef who personally interacted with us the entire time. Having done other big events at work I knew trying to serve a dinner that came close to the tasting was a challenge. This team made it look easy and frankly the food at the wedding was actually better than the taste test which was a really high bar. We received rave reviews from our guests and now seven months later still get comments of how good it was. Tracey was our POC and did all the organizing and interface with our planner. She ensured everyone was on time, all our requests were met, and the event was flawlessly executed. The staff’s interface with our guests and service was exceptional. Better than any wedding I’ve ever attended. This was a first class job from start to finish. We strongly recommend this company if your standards and expectations are high. They will exceed them. It was definitely worth every penny!
