SERESvirtual – preliminary longitudinal evaluation

objective: to support and empower women living with HIV trough peer support and sessions with health professionals Impact evaluation of our project using POZQOL protocol applied in the beginning and in the end of project. This poster concerns the initial evaluation. The applied protocol includes demographic and clinical questions and 13 questions from POZQOL protocol, in a total of 26 questions.
• 52,6% of our members live in Lisbon. 26,3% in the Centre of Portugal. And equally with 10,5% in North and South. The majority of our group is aged above 41 years old (42,1% with 41-50 yrs. old and 36,8% with 51-60 yrs.), 15,8% with 31-40 yrs. and only 5,3% with more than 60 yrs.
• 73,7% of our group is employed. And 10,5% retired. 21,1% lives completely alone. 73,7% considers that their economic resources allow them to live with dignity and quality. But 26,3% don’t. o 100% of our respondents have undetectable viral load. 100% of the respondents are taking the ARV medication as prescribed. 100% of our respondents know the meaning of U=U. Only 10,5% didn’t share about U=U information. 21,1% have not been having peer support.
o The majority of respondents, 73,7 consider that the C-19 pandemic has slightly and moderately impact in their QoL 52,6% of our respondents have been having feelings of depression, anxiety, panic attacks. 63.1% of our respondents are moderately or lightly enjoying life. 47.3% of our respondents are very or extremely worried about their health. 52.6% of the respondents moderately or very feel the lack of belonging with people around them
o 68.4% of our respondents replied that HIV does not at all or slightly prevent them from doing as much as they would like. 79% of our respondents feel very or extremely good about themselves as a person. 57,9% of our respondents feels that having HIV does not limit at all their opportunities in life. 36.9% of our respondents are very or extremely worried about the impact of HIV in their health. 47.4% feels that does not at all, slightly or moderately control their life. 47.4% of our respondents are very or extremely afraid that people may reject them when they learn they have HIV. The majority, 57,9% feels that managing HIV does not wear them out at all. 63,2% of the respondents, don’t feel at all that HIV limits their personal relationships. 47,3% of our respondents fear very or extremely the health effects of HIV as they get older. 63.2% of the respondents are slightly or moderately optimistic about their future
