ACADEMIC ADVISING AND COUNSELING

Assigned advisors work with students to establish, pursue, and refine educational and career goals.

ACADEMIC SUCCESS CENTER

Free tutoring support on each campus and online for all students. Students can participate in tutoring labs, academic workshops, study groups, exam reviews or speak with an academic success coach.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT CENTER

The center facilitates job connections, provides comprehensive services and resources related to career and educational development.

DISABILITY SUPPORT SERVICES

Seminole State is committed to ensuring equal access for all by providing appropriate academic support services for anyone with disabilities.

FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Seminole State distrubutes more than $50 million in financial aid each each, including more than $1 million in scholarships.

FIRST GENERATION PROGRAM

The dedicated staff supports first-time-in-college, first-generation students to ensure a smooth transition into the first and second years.

HOPE SCHOLARS

Support program for underrepresented/minorities attending Seminole State. Located in Campus Life Suite.

LIBRARY SERVICES AND RESOURCES

Library staff helps guide on research topics and provides study and research tools. The library also offers a live chat.

NAVIGATE: COLLEGE SIMPLIFIED

Navigate is your free step-by-step guide to the college experience at Seminole State from orientation to graduation. With the Navigate app, everything you need to succeed is right at your fingertips.

RAIDERS HELPING RAIDERS FOOD PANTRY

Food pantry for all students with hunger insecurities. Raiders Helping Raiders can also provide a Feed the Need card for a hot meal at the Canteen.

SKILL SESSIONS

Free student success workshops based on academic enhancement, personal and career development, and cultural/diversity topics.

OFFICE OF VETERAN STUDENT SERVICES

The office helps veterans adjust to college life and is a one-stop source for securing, interpreting, and exercising your VA education benefits.

SEMINOLE STATE SCHOLARSHIPS

Seminole State College scholarships, such as the ones available through the Foundation for Seminole State, are awarded based on academic merit, special talent or other criteria established by the College.

College scholarships must be coordinated with other types of financial assistance and may reduce students’ eligibility for federal or state needbased aid.

Scholarships offered through Seminole State include:

FLORIDA BRIGHT FUTURES SCHOLARSHIPS

Florida Bright Futures Scholarships are awarded by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) for the Fall and Spring terms based on academic merit (Summer funds may also be available, as determined by FLDOE). Funds cover up to 45 credit hours per academic year.

The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program has four award levels with different criteria for initial eligibility:

• Florida Academic Scholars

• Florida Medallion Scholars

• Florida Gold Seal CAPE Scholars

• Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholar

PRIVATE SCHOLARSHIPS

Private scholarships are awarded based on criteria established by organizations and agencies other than Seminole State College. These awards must be coordinated with other types of financial assista nce and may reduce students’ eligibility for federal or state needbased aid. Each organization or agency determines what charges their scholarship will cover.

Private scholarships include:
