ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Prospective students can gain admission into the program upon completion of an Associate in Science degree in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university. Candidates must also:
1. Hold a current RN license or be eligible to sit for the NCLEX RN
2. A GPA of 2.5 or higher
Seminole State A.S. Nursing graduates can easily and seamlessly enter our RN-to-BSN program. Graduates from non-regionally accredited programs with an active RN license may apply for review, and if accepted, they can apply to be granted credits equal SSC’s ADN program. Please contact your advisor if you are interested in this program.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
With the ability to be completed in as little as one year, and a total cost of about $5,200, Seminole State’s fully accredited RN-to-BSN Online is designed specifically for currently registered nurses (RNs) and those who are now eligible to take the NCLEX RN. The RN-to-BSN program courses are delivered 100% online. This flexibility enables nurses to continue working while pursuing their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
ACCREDITATION
Attending an accredited institution, such as Seminole State College, is important to ensure that your chosen nursing program has attained a level that meets or exceeds national and industry standards. Seminole State College is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Seminole State’s RN-to-BSN Online program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Based on ACEN Policy #29, our most current student achievement outcomes are as follows:
• 67.8% of 2023–2024 graduates completed the program on time
• 100% of 2023–2024 graduates reported current employment in the nursing profession
• 90% of 2023–20 graduates reported value-added with BSN degree completion
