Refill says Happy New Year! Another year has gone by and our Refill family has grown in so many places. You may have seen elsewhere in the Press that Peacehaven has opened its first water fountain at The Dell and I was very pleased indeed to be invited to the Event. We also hear that fundraising for more in Eastbourne is going well. Over in Seaford you may have noticed that Brewster’s Coffee Company has relocated from High and Over to the South Barn. (photo above). Jon has some water you can have to refill your bottles and if you remember your reusable cup he will give you a discount on his delicious hot drinks. What is more, on a Thursday you can get one for free by collecting a bag of litter. We really wish visitors would treat the Nature Reserve and National Park with more respect, but sadly many don’t. You can sit in the side barn to enjoy your drink and the yummy cakes he serves.
The Refill family and message is now spreading around the country and across the world, so let’s keep it going. Let us know on our Facebook group if you spot one in a far-flung place. Do let us know via our email below if you run or know of a business that wants to join the scheme or offers refills for coffee etc. They can sign themselves up using the app or website and add the coffee cup icon. Please don’t forget you can download the Refill app to get the location maps to find Refill points: https://www.refill. org.uk/get-the-refill-app/ and also register your business and others if you have their permission.
