SEAFORD YOUTH FORUM Time for our third look at the shops supporting the ‘Use it or lose it’, keep it local campaign. This time we’re in Broad St and Clinton Place. Let’s start then on the east side with Huckleberry Hair, SAM’S COBBLERS (who will be engraving our trophy), and HarriNat’s. These are followed by Chestnut Tree, Fotobox Ambers Florist, Crosby’s Menswear, Camerons, Cloe’s Café, Julie’s Scoop & Weigh, Grapetree, Ageless Skincare, Seaford News and the The Grumpy Chef. What an eclectic mix with some long time favourites in there. On the opposite side, starting at Walbrin’s corner, we find Lara’s, which took over from Millie’s, Evuina’s, Sussex Eyecare, St Wilfrid’s, and the Real Deli now no longer operating but thanks Chris for all you’ve given to the town and for your support. Then come Sweet Moments, Foam & Fabric, Premier Travel, Animal Fare and Sussex Stationers. Pomegranite did not wish to participate but did make a contribution, generous as ever.

Moving to Clinton Place we start with Be Creative, then Marian’s sadly gone but now the tempting Beth’s Café and Cakery, Snipz, Star Dry Cleaners, Brewer’s, David Jordan, Blue Room, Scope and Mr Cycles. Across from them we’ve been helped by Unique Hairdresser’s, Your Construction Shop, Intersport, Delicious Donor, Café Seven, Mortgage Adviser and, last but not least, Home Hardware. The staff there have echoed what others have said that there are several customers who they know have Primary age children but who forget to show their card, so a gentle reminder there, especially with Christmas looming. The recent news that our Lloyds branch is about to join the list of bank closures serves to emphasise the need to make the most of what is on offer locally, so please do let our 112 supporters, along with all our other shops, continue to serve us.
