Dear Family; Something is happening. Something is changing. Each of us has a choice to make for our future. I knew that our Association of Rev. Sydney Magill-Lindquist, Minister Unity Churches was evolving into a spiritual movement for a new millennium however I was unaware of the exact details. In August I received a packet of information from our Association outlining a program for transforming our movement. Of the twelve items listed as the Benchmarks for Success, Unity of Gainesville has all ready started the process on 9 of them. Unity of Gainesville is poised for the future. What captured my attention is that we didnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t ask what was being planned we have simply been responding to our own guidance. Spirit has been readying us for the next step without our knowledge. Our next three months are going to critical. Each month has a special focus for each of us individually and as a spiritual family.

How much each of us gets out of this process is dependent on how much each of us is willing to give to the process. It begins with our personal transformation, transforming how we approach ourselves and how we respond to the needs of our ministry. This creates the rich opportunity for becoming the change we wish to see in the world. Unity of Gainesville our time is now. Each of us is here by divine appointment. Take time to pray and reflect on our next step as we join to create a new future together. Blessings,

Fall Events Eleven Days of Global Unity: A Season of Interfaith Celebration From September 11 (Unity World Day of Prayer) to September 21 (UN International Day of Peace), the Association of Unity Churches International and Unity Village are collaborating with the Association for Global New Thought in focusing on peace and global unity. September 11-21 is an annual promotion of peace, justice and environmental stewardship that communities and organizations take part in around the world. It culminates on September 21st, the U.N. International Day of Peace.

The Alternative Healing Information center in Gainesville

We have many kinds of healers here at the church and many are willing to share their ability with anyone who is interested in experiencing energetic healing. Chakra Toning Meditation Workshop with Corrine Champigny Sunday,Sept. 21st - 1:30 - 3:30 PM - $30 two hour workshop Corrine Champigny will share her musical gifts for our special music during our Sunday service on September 21st. Following the Service join Corrine as she leads a special Experiential Chakra Toning Meditation Workshop where she will expand on the healing powers of sound and vibration. Included in this workshop fee is Corrine’s own Chakra Toning CD. Open your heart through sound! Corrine’s interest in yoga, meditation and spirituality eventually moved her to San Diego where she began working with world renowned author Dr. Deepak Chopra. Her musical approach changed, she changed and her music evolved and changed as well. As one of the founding Directors of the Chopra Center Yoga Certification program, her experience as both a yoga and meditation Instructor has inspired her to lead her own programs that includes yoga workshops, chant classes, meditation retreats and most recently yoga tours to India.

Conscious Living Circles Leadership Training Conscious Living Circles Leaders & Host Training Nov. 12th at 7:00 PM Conscious Living Circles are small groups of people who come together in private homes to connect spiritually using Unity principles, to pray together, and to create an environment that is supportive and safe. Each week a different question is asked and each person has a chance to share their life experience. The heart of the Conscious Living Circle program is the a carefully trained and spiritually aligned group of facilitation team members. Each group has a host home, and a Circle Facilitator. This program last for 6 weeks with a kick off celebration party and a closing celebration at the church the during the first quarter of 2008.

If you would like to host or be trained as a facilitator come to our training meeting on November 12th at 7:00 PM.

Advanced Chakra and Aura Balancing Beginners Chakra and Aura Balancing Class in the WEB Building with Tracy Wyrick The Beginners Class is about identifying where the Chakras are located, how they work, techniques for balancing them and aura identification. This is our time to say thank you to those who have helped in every way; from folding a newsletter to weeding our gardens; from running the media booth to cleaning the kitchen. This is the time to honor our volunteers with recognition and even a few surprises.. If you are curious as to what is really happening in our spiritual family come too. Sisters In Spirit Food Bank & Thanksgiving Meal Preparation The Sisters of Spirit (open to all women at Unity of Gainesville) are starting a food bank here at church. Details will be forth coming as to when and where to bring non perishable items such as canned goods, diapers and such items that we can share with those in need. We also will be cooking Thanksgiving meals for families needing a helping hand on Saturday, November 22 at church at 10:00 AM. If interested please contact Lisa Leach at uogsis@gmail.com.

You may have noticed the our UoG Praise Team performing on Sunday mornings. We have had everyone from Jim White and his son in law Dobbin, with Blue Grass music as you come in to service, to Melissa Chewning, our Nursery Director performing a solo. Yes our Music Ministry is growing. By popular request we are now having Praise Team rehearsals from 6:00 - 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary on some of the Wednesdays nights this fall as we prepare for our Christmas program.
