Guidance for Students

• Students will be set a specific subject GKO for prep each night.

• Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 (KS3) complete one A4 Cornell Notes sheet of revision each night. Year 10 and 11 (KS4) will complete two pages each night.

• Each morning during line up your form tutor will check that your Prep is completed and to the correct subject and standard. There should be evidence of checking and correcting. Finally, there should be at least 5 words per line with sensible spacing between words.

• Each day the ‘Prep List’ is released and any student who has not completed the work or to the correct standard will be collected and taken down to Prep at 3pm. Here they will complete an hour DT till 4pm on the same day. During this DT the missed Prep must be completed and handed in. Please note, if you have a C4 and Prep DT on the same night then this will result in a 5pm finish NOT 4pm.

• A mini quiz will then be given in form times and teachers will ask questions in lessons to assess how well the students have memorised, and understood, the GKO.

• Each year group Golden Prep timetable is on the website.
