Chess Congress
Swimming Gala
On Wednesday a very excited (and very young; half of them were from Year 3!) Chess team went to St Thomas the Martyr to represent the school in the annual Chess Congress. They came a very respectable fourth and played brilliantly! The team were: Archie (Y6), Leon (Y5), Noah (Y5), Cameron (Y5), Corey (Y3), Stephen (Y3), Roberts (Y3) and Macey (Y3). Well done team!
On Thursday night a group of very dedicated (and brave!) swimmers battled through the awful weather to reach Wigan swimming pool to take part in the annual swimming gala. The team were: Lily-Grace (Y6), Ruby (Y6), Keifron (Y6), Shaunna (Y6), Caitlin (Y6), Callum (Y6), Sean (Y5), Mareks (Y6), Noah (Y5), Cameron (Y5). They represented the school brilliantly and even the officials commented that our pupils showed the best support for each other out of all the schools there! Special mention to Callum who picked up the Bronze Medal for the 25m Boys' Breaststroke race. Well done team! You were amazing!
