Matthias Fingerhut has been passionate about film since his childhood. When he was around 12 years old, he was fascinated by his grandfather’s HI-8 camera and experimented with it on an abandoned airfield. “I then used the VHS recorder to edit,” he remembers. “Pressing start-stop for the scenes I wanted to keep in the film. Later, my school had an open channel and, fortunately, gave me access to professional equipment.”
Clients particularly value the straight-forward approach. “Many clients avoid film productions because they are scared that it will completely disrupt their companies for days,” he reveals. “We try to be as invisible as possible and no production chain has to be switched off for us. We work efficiently and recognise quickly which aspects of a company could be important for a film. Authentic corporate films and effective storytelling are our focus. In short: If you’re looking for the human angle, you’ve come to the right place.”
This passion grew into his production company lichtempfindlich. Today, the focus lies on corporate films, as Matthias Fingerhut explains. His expertise lies in image films, short social-media clips and business-related coverage such as location marketing to acquire new investors. But video messages of politicians, live streams together with business partners and informational films – as well as documentaries and sometimes music videos – are also part of the portfolio. “However, we 40 |
