The Hotel Restaurant Roter Hahn can look back over a long history. In 1950, the Rote Hahn was acquired by the Schmidt family from a brewery. At first, it was a pub for card players with a simple lunch table. Guest rooms were gradually added and the Rote Hahn became a middle-class inn with hotel and catering. Laura Maria and Maximilian Schmidt have been running the hotel and restaurant since 2020. The latter was awarded its first Michelin star in 2021.
