Board Meeting April 27 Membership Meeting April 28 -29

Dear PJFA Member and Spring Meeting Attendee: We understand that planning to travel during this time involves many considerations, and we want to share with you the measures PJFA is taking so you can feel confident in your decision to attend the 2021 Spring Meeting. In accordance with public health and government guidelines, your spring meeting has been redesigned with social distancing and safety practices in mind.

Daily temperature checks will be performed on all attendees, spouses, guests and staff upon arrival to the meeting space. You’ll receive a sticker that says “you are cool” each day. Attendees are asked to sit in the same seat during the education sessions, and seats will be spaced for social distancing. Name plates will be provided to mark your seat. Also, Face masks will be available and should be worn by everyone, except when actively eating or drinking. Hand sanitizer will be placed throughout the event, and restroom handwashing facilities are located nearby. Finally, color-coded bracelets will be available so each attendee can clearly signal their personal comfort level. Green means handshakes and hugs are OK. Yellow means elbow and fist bumps, please. Red means you are keeping your distance.

We ask that if you’ve been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the 10 days prior to the meeting, that you refrain from attending. PJFA is committed to hosting this meeting with respect to your health and personal level of comfort. Thank you for helping us create a safe and successful conference. We look forward to welcoming you to Tampa!

Has it really been a year? Twelve months ago, I’d have called you crazy had you said April 2021 would be the next time I'd see you in person. “We’re ready for Tampa,” is an understatement. Whether it’s cost, competition, consumer trends, hiring, or a global pandemic, each year gets more challenging when it comes to running a restaurant. We've spent this year listening and learning from you. We've updated coverages, introduced new technology, added key players, and have found ways to make your insurance experience, well...better. Last month, we gave clients the ability to manage their Intrepid Direct account online for the first time in company history. Now, you can log in, manage your billing preferences, search and view claims, download loss runs on-demand, search for an adjuster's contact information, and schedule automated reports all within minutes. And because we know audits can be painful and time-consuming, we've introduced a new, Workers' Compensation Pay-As-You-Go option. Your premium is calculated using payroll actuals versus policy estimates, helping you save time and money at term end. Make sure you connect with your Intrepid Direct Success Advisor if you're interested in giving your cash flow a shake-up. Unfortunately, there's just not enough room on the page to tell you everything we've been up to. We've experienced tremendous growth amidst these difficult times and we owe our success to you. We thank you for continuing to spread the good word throughout your franchisee networks - it's how we keep our expenses down and pass along incredible savings to you. We wish you the very best and hope to see you soon,

Bill Strout PRESIDENT

LOCATION RATES PLATFORM A BETTER WAY TO REIMBURSE YOUR DELIVERY DRIVERS

We’ve designed a technology platform that caters to the unique needs of Papa John's and its' franchisees. The Motus Platform calculates fair and accurate rates for each store location and streamlines the management of your reimbursement program. Rates reflect real-time, geographic costs for each store by including variables like local gas prices and state minimum insurance premiums. This gives you a simpler way to manage the program, run rates on-demand and remain labor-compliant.
