EPR NEWSLETTER

14 WEEKS TO GO Are you ready?

Issue 2

Welcome to the second edition of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme newsletter. The countdown has officially started. We have 14 weeks to go until our SemaHelix switch-off on Friday 19 April, and the introduction of CareFlow on Sunday 21 April. This will also mark the completion of phase 1 and sets the necessary foundations for more exciting changes that will improve care for our patients. Our fantastic Change Agents and EPR team are here to help if you need it. Any questions, ideas and suggestions, please let us know, so we can get you the support you need. A big thank you to everyone involved so far and to everyone who has completed their training, as we know how hard it is to balance exciting transformation alongside the delivery of day-to-day priorities. What you need to know this week

Training available

Clinic freeze

Training available Anyone who uses SemaHelix, PSAG or contributes to paper records in our Emergency Departments (ED) will be affected. You must book and complete the relevant training as soon as possible. Don't leave it until March, as we can't train over 5,000 people in a matter of weeks. There are multiple ways to complete your training via MS Teams, face-to-face or through LMS e-learning. A big thank you to all our colleagues who have completed their training so far. We have achieved 38% compliance. Please complete all relevant training modules which will be on your LMS learning section. Tailored face-to-face training sessions are another way to update your knowledge. It’s convenient for you and your team as you can select a time and place that fits around you. The sessions are personalised and if you are waiting for a module or topic to be released, you can arrange for this to be completed with your trainer. To arrange a session, please email sath.ittrainingteam@nhs.net.

https://digital.sath.nhs.uk/ Digital Health Forum The first Digital Health Forum will be held on Thursday 22 February 2024. You will hear from clinicians and product specialists from System C as well as colleagues about the emergency and elective pathways. There are limited spaces so register your interest as soon as possible. The event will also be recorded and shared on our intranet. Please see your emails for more information or email sath.digitaladminteam@nhs.net.

Clinic freeze From Friday 8 March 2024–Friday 19 April 2024, the Trust needs to observe a sixweek period of freeze to clinic changes in SemaHelix. Emergency critical clinic changes will be allowed during this period. What can clinicians do to help? Please review your clinics and agree changes (annual leave etc.) with your team prior to Friday 8 March 2024. Any non-critical clinic change request during the freeze period can be actioned after CareFlow Go Live.

Change Agent A massive thank you to all of the Change Agents who attended the onboarding sessions last week. There have been lots of great conversations about how people want to be involved, and equally as importantly, how we can go the extra mile to support your team. If you’re a Change Agent and are yet to attend an onboarding session, its not too late! Two additional sessions have been added this week. You will have received an invitation to these through email – but if you need any more information or have any questions email sath.askepr@nhs.net. Do you want to become a Change Agent?
