Are you ready?

Welcome to the 12th edition of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme newsletter.

With less than a month before Go Live weekend, the digital team were out and about last week, at both sites, to answer all your questions We had some really good questions and feedback, and felt really encouraged that so many of you are ready ahead of time for phase 1 of our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme

One of the most important things right now is to freeze all non-essential clinic changes to enable smooth migration of data. You can read more details here.

Retrospective data entry

PSAG ‘post-its’ are going

PSAG will be replaced by Patient FLOW on Go Live weekend FLOW does not have the same functionality as PSAG, so we ’ ve been asking teams to alter their current ways of working Our clinical and operational teams have worked through and developed new ideas, in partnership with the digital team to make the system work for them

Julie and Gerry are ward clerks on ward 23 Julie said: ‘The electronic "post its" on the PSAG board are currently used to show our ward staffing, TCI's, bed movement and outlying patients In preparation for losing this function we had two whiteboards installed We can now write and display all the information previously shown on PSAG, on our whiteboards

Unfortunately there isn’t a sandpit environment for

Patient Flow Only

CareFlow PAS and ED have Sandpit Systems

Can I access Sandpit on multiple computers in my area?

No – the Sandpit environment will be installed on one PC per request We would recommend areas consider having a dedicated “Sandpit PC” – a machine that people can use for the sole purpose of practicing their CareFlow skills

Printing through Sandpit is not possible – this is because there would be a risk of sandpit print outs getting mixed up with print outs for patients.
