We would thank you everyone for your incredible efforts and support to transition to our new patient administration system We understand there will be questions and unexpected issues over the next few weeks so please using the support systems in place Our expert teams will be supporting every step of the way.

How to report an issue
Any CareFlow, Patient Flow or Bluespier issues / requests should be logged via the IT self-service portal The link to this is available on all desktops as an icon, or through the intranet applications In addition, Floorwalkers can help you raise a request or help you contact the Digital CareFlow Control Centre Please avoid contacting the core IT Service Desk for CareFlow, Patient Flow and Bluespier related issues Do not raise multiple jobs for the same issue as this causes delays Updates will be added to your call

Role Based Access
Our Call Centres are currently experiencing a very high number of calls regarding Role Based Access We are reviewing the roles given to staffing groups based on the feedback we have received If you feel that your role does not have the access you need, then you will need to log an IT Self-Service Request We politely ask that you do not contact the call centre for these, as we are working through them as quickly as possible You will receive an email when your request has been actioned. It is also important to note that some access is dependent on you completing training, so please check your LMS and complete all mandatory CareFlow modules before querying your access
Bookmarked Reports
If you have previously bookmarked reports through the Intranet SQL reports, these will no longer work as they are new links Please delete your old bookmarks and re-add your bookmarks. Need help finding your report? See our Reports Guide to read where reports have been migrated
“Verifying” Patients
When you perform certain actions on CareFlow, it may ask if the patient details have been verified – this is just a check that you have selected the correct patient You will need to click “ yes ” in order to continue If a field is pink, that means that the field in CareFlow needs verifying, this is a one-time only task – you will need to do this with the patient present

Who can help?
Nursing Notes

You can update Nursing Handover notes through Patient Flow (PSAG replacement) – this is available through the intranet app We recommend users log into a desktop computer to update the notes There is a new Nursing Handover intranet app that will take you to the report For a guide on Nursing Notes (updating and reporting) please see our Nursing Notes QRG
Finding Current Inpatients
The easiest way to find a patient in our Hospitals is through the “Active Patient Monitoring” option in Inpatients
If you are struggling with using CareFlow, please don’t forget to contact the Change Agent in your area Change Agents are able to signpost to all of our guides and helpful documents EPR Floorwalkers are also briefing Change Agents on “hot topics” – so if you are a Change Agent please approach our Floorwalkers to understand the key messages that you will need to cascade to your team
