THANK YOU
TO OUR NURSES, MIDWIVES AND OPERATING DEPARTMENT PRACTITIONERS

We want to say a huge thank you to our amazing nursing, midwifery and ODP colleagues for all that they do every day.
Today on International Nurses’ Day, our Chief Executive Louise Barnett and Director of Nursing Hayley Flavell visited our wards and departments to say a special thank you. They were joined by our senior nursing colleagues and our chaplains.

This Sunday our Operating Department Practitioners
will mark ODP Day, with International Day of the Midwife celebrated last Friday.
As part of the celebrations, Hayley has recorded some special video messages for our nurses and ODPs. Click on the links to watch them.
You can see how we celebrated our fantastic colleagues inside this special edition of Chatterbox.

Thank you to our midwives
On Friday 5 May, International Day of the Midwife (IDM) was celebrated around the world.
We took the opportunity to thank our midwifery colleagues for all that they do.

Midwives provide bespoke, skilled, intuitive care during one of the most exciting but daunting times of life. The
contribution they make cannot be underestimated. From early pregnancy to labour and in the first few weeks of life, they are there in diverse and compassionate roles to help and support families.
We are truly grateful for your hard work and dedication.
