passed a temple and Ban Dang village. As we walk further down, we crossed a bridge to the other side of the canal to enter “Kwan Ve Ka Rao”. The word “Kwan” in Mon language means village, therefore, the locals in Kwan Ve Ka Rao village are mostly Mons that are living in Phra Phadaeng District.

We came all the way here to look for “Miang Kam Pak Lad”, the famous savory leaf wraps. The village is famous for “Miang Kam Pak Lad”, a signature recipe which aunty Kid’s mother has passed on to her 50 years ago. “Aunty Kid” offered us a warm welcome by preparing us with some food in a “Khan Toke” (wooden utensils often used in northern Thailand).
