between, there´s a massive commitment to creating our own out here in Ås. There is seemingly something for everyone to engage in, and in the middle of this lies Samfunnet.

Samfunnet is a place for everyone to meet, and all have the possibility to contribute. My contributions started with the administrative work of roombooking, and later I´ve ventured into the security committee. Through these roles both the planning and execution of events at Samfunnet have been shown to me and given me immense amounts of joy. Joy from seeing and hearing people having a good time.

Joy from a packed crowd. And joy from watching the development of the people coming through Samfunnet and putting down the work.

I would love nothing more than contributing to this development, and I therefore present to you my candidacy for Head of Bodega.

My name is Lars Michaloff Nordby, I am 22 years old and come from Bærum. I am now in my fourth year of an integrated master's in Geomatics and hereby wish to stand for election as bodegasjef.

After a somewhat inactive first year characterized by an inconvenient corona pandemic. I decided to get involved in various positions and activities. Both to push myself with new challenges, but also to get out of my comfort zone. Having responsibility and making an effort to ensure that others have a good time was something I enjoyed.

During my time as a student, I have been deputy chairman and chairman of Atlas, the line association for Geomatics. And sponsor manager on the board of NITO studentene NMBU. In these positions, I have gained leadership experience and collaborative skills that come in handy as Bodegasjef.

My involvement at Samfunnet started as a bar funkis during UKA 2020. During UKA 2022 I have been NK-Bar teknisk. It has taught me how to arrange for people to have the best possible time.

In addition, I have been a committee member of Klubben since the winter of 2021. As a committee member of Klubben, I have

contributed as much as possible, and it has been rewarding to see the development Klubben has had since Samfunnet took over the operation. That feeling of being part of a development over time is one of the reasons why I want to apply as, bodegasjef.

Through these positions, I feel that I have gained a good overview of much of what happens in the house both during a party night, but also during the day. I feel I otherwise have a good insight into what the remaining committee in the bodega block are doing.

Samfunnet has been an important arena for me during my studies and I want to use my last year here at Ås to work so that even more people will feel that the studentsamfunnet is like their second home.

Dear General Assembly!

My name is Margreta Brunborg, better known as Maggie, and I stand for election as the new marketing manager. I am 21 years old and come from Bærum. Now, I am studying on my third year of water and environmental techniques at NMBU. When I first began at the university I heard such great things about Samfunnet. This was without doubt a place with much history, where many important acquaintances were to be made. During the buddy-week of my first year, I heard about UKA. I thought this sounded very fun, and decided to work with security during UKA 2020. This made me want to engage in more of the “studentlife”, and has probably

been a central reason as to why Samfunnet lies close to my heart today.

Since I have been working with photo since 2014 it felt natural to apply for photo at Samfunnet and Tuntreet after UKA 2020. I have been a member of both these organs since December 2020, and have not regretted any second of it. Since April 2022 and September 2022 I have been the committee boss for Photo at Samfunnet and Photoresponsible for Tuntreet, where I have learned a lot about what it means to lead two amazing groups. Also, I had the pleasure of working as NK (second in command) Photo during UKA 2022.

During my positions, I have learned a lot and made acquaintances for life. As the committee boss for Photo I have learned how the marketing block works on the inside, and have got to know the other, amazing committee bosses and committee members of both my own block as well as others. I have made many incredible memories that are dear to me.

Because of this, I wish to apply for the new marketing manager. I wish to continue working with increasing the ticket sales and increasing the number of members at Samfunnet so that as many as possible gets to experience the amazing culture we have, create memories for life and get to know all the amazing people at Samfunnet i Ås.

I hope that my engagement, positivity and experience makes you consider me as the next marketing manager at my second home, Samfunnet i Ås.

an extensive workload, but with our great team we managed this brilliantly.

It is also the experiences from this position that I use as a basis when I now apply for marketing leader. Although graphic work is only one of many parts when it comes to marketing, through my position I have gained a good understanding of what works and what does not work when something is to be marketed.

Furthermore, I have also experienced and learned a lot about how to work well in a team, while also having a leading role.

I am also a member of Ås campingstol, and we have an active Instagram account (aas_campingstol). This has also given me lots of experience with marketing!

Hi! My name is Sebastian Nygaard, I am 22 years old and I’m currently studying on my fourth year of landscape architecture. I hereby apply for marketing leader at Samfunnet i Ås!

Since I started at NMBU in 2019, I have benefited greatly from the many arrangements of Samfunnet. I remember when I started that I thought it was incredible that this professional place was run by students! Eventually, I understood the importance of getting involved and helping to provide a unique offer to the students.

My first position was graphics funkis for UKA in Ås 2020, here I became a small part of a large marketing team. I think it was very inspiring to see how a group of students can work so systematically and well with marketing, which also made me apply and become graphics leader for UKA in Ås 2022. Here I encountered

I think marketing in Ås must be understood in a slightly different way than marketing many other places. We do need cool videos and appealing images, or good content as you might call it, but we have quite a lot of weird things going for us. We have events for both the few and the many, and many ways to spread the message. Whether it is via Samfunnets own channels, jungel- or festtelegrafen. I believe that the job as marketing manager is just as much about understanding the culture in Ås, being present and meeting both known and unknown people, as delegating tasks and attending meetings.

After more than three years I have built up a good number of hours both in the cozy cave of the bodega and in Johannes and have benefited from the eager commitment of many students.

Now I therefore hope that I can take part in Samfunsstyret to be able to give something back to the student community!

the UKEmagazine is a one-time thing, but it was enough to get me hooked.

So why am I the right candidate to become the next TT-Editor? I am the right one for this position because I want to give Tuntreet a loud and clear voice. I am the right one because I have a vision and a wish to make Tuntreet the best edition of itself. I want Tuntreet to be an echo all the students at Ås, and for the issues we address and write about to create an engagement that touches (and or maybe provokes) all of the student masses.

I am a qualifies candidate both because of my experience from Tuntreet and UKA, but also because I dare to try new things as well as throw out the old and safe. So, if you want an Editor that is determined, creative and not perfect, but always willing to learn and improve, consider me.

My name is Celine Våga, and I’m running for the position as the next Editor-inChief of Tuntreet!

My first volunteer position at Samfunnet was as a translator for Tuntreet (TT01, 2021), and have since that tried out being the Web Distributor of Tuntreet (a position I still have today as we speak). This year I was lucky enough to be the Editor-in-Chief during UKA I Ås 2022, and have through this position as Committee Chief had the opportunity to become a leader and an advisor, to organize, plan and not the least publish a magazine.

To be honest I have to say that when I sent the final file to the prints, and there a couple days later stood a pallet of magazines at the door, I became one single mass of cells pumped on adrenaline and bliss. To be Editor-in-Chief of

Næringslivsutvalget is the link between the students and the companies. As a fourth-year student, I have both seen and experienced the importance of having knowledge about the business community. I want to continue this expertise as a potential leader of Næringslivsutvalget.

As head of Næringslivsutvalget, I want to help the good work that the outgoing board has put in. At the same time, I want to contribute with new energy to make NMBU students even more attractive to various businesses. This is done by taking an active role and making companies more aware of the potential students hold.

As a person, I am responsible, structured and proactive. As a manager, I want a flat structure in the organization and welcome suggestions. I think these are important qualities in a good team.

In relation to the position as a leader, I already have experience as a leader, and all the qualities that follow the position. Structure, responsibility, work distribution, taking care of employees, and make sure the company is making profit.

I know what it´s like to be dedicated, because I´ve previously competed in Fitness alongside work and school. When you give yourself so much to do at the same time, it´s absolutely necessary to be structured and liking the idea of having a lot of things to do at the same time.

I´m sure that many students feel the same way about taking on a lot of work, and what is better than surrounding yourself with like minded people.

I hope you guys will give me a chance to prove what I can and my ability to learn.

Dear General Assembly!

My name is Line Sæstad Walstad, I´m 22 years old and a real Ås-ing. In other words, born and raised in Ås. I´m now studying economy, leadership and IT, first year here at NMBU. Previously I´ve been working as a restaurant manager at No4 in Ski, with a certificate of completed apprenticeship as a chef. From the experience as a restaurant manager, I would like to expand my leadership experience and work closer with people. When I heard about the open position as a leader at Samfunnet I Ås, I immediately thought this was a golden opportunity for me. Ås Is a great place if you just get to know it.

Rural environment and a great community, which we can thank the students for. I strongly want to be a part of this community, and I´m sure of that I would be a positive contribution to the great community in Næringslivsutvalget.

The Business Committee is the link between students and the business community. They play an important role in making the transition from being a student to an employee easier. As a fourth-year student, I have gained knowledge and work experience from various employers.

That way, I see what opportunities there are for students in today's job market. Personally, I am structured, responsible, reliable, and proactive.

These qualities, I believe, match well in line with the role head of administration.

My name is Olav Sund Olsborg. I am 23 years old and come from Tromsø. At NMBU I study Real Estate, and am currently on my fourth year. I hereby stand for election as head of administration in the Business Committee at NMBU. During my studies at NMBU, I have been involved in several positions. Among other things, I have been editor and deputy manager of Eiendomsmagasinet Dekar, worked as a volunteer during UKA in Ås, and taken part in association life here at Ås. Now I want to pass on my experience and expertise to the Business Committee at NMBU. The position as deputy chairman of Eiendomsmagasinet Dekar and being a volunteer under UKA has given me practical administrative experience. Among other things,

If I am elected as head of administration, I shall continue the good work that has been carried out, as well as maintain the cooperation with the line associations. It requires cooperation and coordination internally within the organization, but also externally to relevant actors. I will solve the administrative tasks in a structured and efficient manner.

My name is Ingrid Fagerbakke and I hereby run for election as Head of Marketing for The Business Committee here at nmbu. I am 22 years old, from Bergen and are currently on my third year in Urban and Regional Planning.

Unfortunately, the corona pandemic really affected my two first years here at nmbu. But as the society slowly opened again, I felt an extra motivation and drive to participate and contribute to the lively student environment we have here at Ås. By working as a volunteer during UKA in 2020 and 2022 I gained an insight into how important collaboration and voluntary work from the students are for maintaining and developing the unique student community we have.

For the past year I have been sitting as marketing manager for Collegium Alfa. A position that gave me a huge amount of knowledge, experience and an inner drive to continue in this field. I therefore recently joined the new board of CRE8, and will the upcoming

year be sitting as the marketing manager for next year’s conference. I really enjoy working with marketing and I am ready for new upcoming challenges.

Now that I have reached a certain point in my study course, I have realized the importance of networking and how we already now can influence our upcoming path. The Business Committee is an important link between the students here at nmbu and the life and commitment waiting for us after our studies. I therefore hope that I will be able to use my knowledge and experience to maintain and developing the collaboration between the students and the working life. I find a lot of joy being able to cooperate with others towards a common goal, and hope that I through marketing can communicate the activities of the Business Committee out to as many people as possible.

I would describe myself as solution-oriented, dedicated, creative and someone who is open for new challenges. I feel very motivated and ready to step into a greater role of responsibility, and hope I get the opportunity to give back to the student community that has given me so much!

The 6 years I had at NMBU were fantastic. I was lucky enough to spend time and commitment on a lot of different things. Studentsamfunnet i Ås was definitely the place that gave me the most through volunteer work and fun.

Samfunnet and the entire organization is an enormously important meeting place and arena for all NMBU students, which I want to contribute to other students becoming fond of, still getting to develop, being challenged, and getting the invaluable lessons you do not get through the textbooks.

Honorable General Meeting. Dear Thorvald and Tora!

My name is Ane Magnussen, I am 25 years old and usually I live in beautiful Romedal.

Currently, I live in India but am back in Norway early 2023. I have a master's degree in Indøk, graduated from NMBU in 2021.

Now I work in the ABB Group.

Have been a couple of years away from work at Studentsamfunnet i Ås, and would love to return and contribute again. Now have a slightly more remote view, as well as more work and life experience in my luggage. Hereby I run for the position as external representative on the House and Finance Board.

If I am fortunate enough to be elected to the House and Finance Board again, I will benefit from the two years I have had on the Board already, as well as other broad experience from engagement inside and outside Samfunnet. For Studentsamfunnet, I have, among other things, contributed to a revision of the statutes and the long-term strategy in 2019, participated in the negotiations that resulted in the current serving agreement with SiÅs, as well as chaired the Pluto Commission and the work that, among other things, led to organizational changes a couple of years ago. I have also spent a lot of time on the “ordensvakt”-case (stricter requirements for education in order to be able to exercise guarding ourselves), where I represented the student societies and organizations in Norway up against the Police Directorate and the Ministry of Justice. These experiences, together with work for NMBU, the

Student Parliament and SiÅs, I believe provide a good basis for helping to manage and advise Studentsamfunnet i Ås related to overall finances, property and strategy, together with the rest of the board.

What I would like to focus on in particular, use the voice and position in the House and Finance Board for, in brief: -

Facilitate for the bodies associated with Studentsamfunnet to have as good a starting point as possible for day-to-day operations and projects, driven by innovation and creativity.

- Contribute to continuity, especially in cases and changes I have helped to initiate.

- Work further on organizational development and stability at an overall level, in accordance with the long-term strategy.

Unfortunately, since I'm not in Norway at the moment, I can't sit with you, eat pea soup, or give a speech at GF. Still hope you want to give me the opportunity to come back and contribute to our beloved Studentsamfunn again.

Dear General Assembly!

My name is Kristiane Holter, and I am from the city of Kristiansand. I delivered my masterthesis in landscape architecture in may (unfortunately), and have started a new season of my life in Oslo. However, the engagement and love I have for Samfunnet i Ås is just as strong as ever. There for, I want to apply for the external representative for Hus- og Finansstyret. It did not take me much time to understand that NMBU has one of the best student environments in the world. Because of Samfunnet i Ås, it is both fun and easy to engage yourself. I quickly engaged myself when I started at NMBU in 2016. Much of the time I have spent as a student has been used in different boardpositions and working at partynights, which include both general communityservises, entrance, bar and party proceedings. This has made me familiar with the house, and well aware of the daily drift that the students contribute with.

My board position as the responsible for administration in NU and my experience from Bodegakonsernet has given me a special insight in the valuable work the different organs are accountable for in the student mass. The

positions have learned me to be solution oriented and to cooperate well with different humans and different needs. I think these experiences will serve me well in the new role as an extern representative. Also, I have of course spent a lot of time in our dear Bodega as a guest of the house, where the advantages of being a member has come in handy. I believe that it is beneficial to recently have been a student myself when it comes to ensuring that the long-term investments and choices that are made in Hus- og Finansstyret benefits the students. Samfunnet i Ås has been an important arena that has given me experiences and good friends for life. I wish to contribute, so that more people can experience this, both the students and the future Thorvald and Thora.

I hope you will give me the consideration as an external representative in Hus- og Finansstyret.

Dear General Assembly!

My name is Lars Raaen, and I hereby run for reelection as an external representant in the Board of House and Finance.

I was a student at UMB/NMBU from 20112017. This means that my commitment to Samfunnet and the student life here at Ås is now facing its 11th year. As a fresh forestry student, I joined the security committee already the first Wednesday of the buddyweek. From then on things started rolling.

During my time studying I was a journalist in and the editor of Tuntreet, co-author of the anniversary book “Ås-studenter i 150 år”, and engaged in the committee for the 150-year celebration in 2014, committee boss for UKA 2012 and 2014, volunteer for UKA 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018, committee boss for Samfunnet, director of “Bodegakonsernet”, leader of the line union “Skogbrukerforeningen”, and a member of the Election Committee at Samfunnet for four years. After I finished studying, I have been an external, as well as an appointed representative in the Board of House and Finance.

During my last six months of studying I was hired as Operations Manager at Samfunnet. I

had this position for two periods, first from spring of 2017 to spring of 2019, then from 2020 to the end of 2021. Through this position I got to know the other parts that Samfunnet has to cooperate with in their daily work. In addition, I have several years of experience from the Committee of Operation and Maintenance. The committee manages the funding NMBU and the Board of House and Finance allocates yearly to the expenses of the house. My network has therefore grown as the years have gone by. I know most people, and I know most of how things work from the inside, across the university, the Student Association and Samfunnet.

Studentsamfunnet in Ås is operated better than ever. The number of students are growing, and the students are getting better at their jobs.

The number of members at Samfunnet is historically high, and the wallet is historically thick. I believe that us students that have finished studying at Ås, and still have the spark and interest in Samfunnet should be able to give our experience and competence, so that you sitting here today shall not only study, but also get to be students. We want to help you manage the economy of Samfunnet in a way that allows you to use your time as a student on the things that are fun. My various experiences indicate that to achieve this, it is a good idea to include people with years and numerous discussions behind them. Samfunnet also needs someone that can ask the right questions in appropriate forums, both internal as well as with NMBU and SiÅs. We have a fresh serving agreement that requires follow-up, and we have an upcoming renovation of Aud.Max. which we shall hang on as vultures to gain traction with the university. These are just a few examples of many that I am looking forward to working with if I gain the trust of the assembly tonight!

The Board of House and Finance has chosen to nominate Espen Eikaas Syljuåsen to appointed external representative in the Board of Finance.

Espen has been an external representative in the Board of House and Finance since 2011. He therefore remembers most of what has happened within the walls of Samfunnet the last 10-12 years, plus that he contributes with continuity in the work. Another point is the Serving Agreement, which finally after 15 years negotiations was signed and implemented for about 3 years ago, right before the outbreak of corona. Since this is the first normal year it will also be the first time the agreement will be proper followed-up, and we in the Board of House and Finance have a strong desire that Espen continues to follow-up this.

Honorable General Assembly, Marius Jachowski Johannessen is my name, and I hereby run for a position as an election board representative.

I am a 28-year-old Mossing who commutes with the train between Moss and Ås. This is my first semester at NMBU, and the plan I have for my studies here is initially to study individual science topics which correspond to Ettårig Grunnstudium, so that I can get better prepared for my journey towards higher education.

Even though this only is my first semester here, have I already had the time to engage myself as both NK (for review sound) and funkis (for concert sound) during UKA i Ås, as well as I also am a member of the sound committee of Samfunnet. Through these positions have I got a golden opportunity to get more familiar with both fellow students and campus, and I am very thankful for that.

In my free time I work actively for several different voluntary organizations, and thus have I experienced a lot of which can be relevant for a position in the election board.

One especially relevant experience is my role as the current leader of the election committee of Moss Røde Kors, as well as I also am a member of the election committee of Østfold Røde Kors Hjelpekorps. In connection with these positions, I have passed an election committee course twice, and thus have I learned a lot about what it involves being member of an election committee or election board.

A good studying life consists of so much more than only studies, in my opinion, and one of my greatest motivations for beginning at just this university, was the fact that there are so many good leisure activities for students here.

Studentsamfunnet i Ås is well-known for being the very core of these leisure activities, and that is exactly the reason why I am running for the election board of Samfunnet, because I would like to work for our fellow students to keep on having access to a lot of good activities – also in the free time.
