SAINT SIMEON’S HISTORY

How Long Has Saint Simeon’s had Peacocks?

In 2003, the nearly bare Health Center Courtyard took on new charm with the addition of a water garden pool featuring a bronze statue, “The Birdfeeder,” by sculptor Rosalind Cook. It turned the once-plain area into a focal point for residents and guests. As part of the project, our first two peacocks were donated and took up residence in the new Reflections Courtyard. Today, our larger family of peacocks, peahens, and peachicks can be seen all over campus.
