Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp Challenger Sports British soccer camp is a popular soccer camp based on one of the most innovative approaches to coaching youth soccer in the US and Canada. With programs for each age, the curriculum includes a variety of foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, freestyle soccer, small-sided games and a mini World Cup scenario.

Sahuarita Hiking Club Hit the local trails with an experienced hiking guide. Hikers enjoy the beautiful desert surroundings, a quick lunch break and then return to Anamax Recreation Center.

The Town of Sahuarita, in partnership with Rancho Sahuarita, hosts a 4th of July Celebration. An exciting fireworks display will light the sky above Sahuarita Lake Park. Be sure to bring your picnic chairs and blankets. There will be live entertainment, face painting, food for sale and other fun children’s activities. This event is free and open to the public.

In partnership with the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, your furry friend has the opportunity to receive shots, free microchipping (quantities are limited) and assistance in dog licensing to ensure their health and wellbeing. Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old. Dogs must be leashed even if crated.

Fees: First 100 rabies shots free for Sahuarita Residents; $6 each thereafter; parvo/distemper shots are $12 and lepto $13; prices may vary. Cash and credit cards only.

Anza Trail Park is a joint-venture park in cooperation with SUSD. This park has three lighted sports fields, two basketball courts, two tennis courts, a covered playground, restrooms, a half-mile walking trail and three reservable ramadas.

Dog Park Hours: Sunrise – Sunset The developed areas include a 2-acre dog park, covered playground, two lighted sports fields, a reservable ramada and restrooms.

Sahuarita Lake Park features a 10-acre lake, and provides a community fishing program. Surrounding the lake is a mile-long trail with fitness stations, reservable amphitheater, two reservable gazebos and restrooms. The lake is not for swimming. Only small watercraft are allowed, no gas-powered engines. For information regarding fishing licenses and regulations, contact AZ Game and Fish at www.azgfd.com.
