Upcoming February Events
from March 2023 Tom Tom
by Sahalee
We spent the month of February focused on team building and setting structures for internal communications, processes, and procedures. We are confident that these changes will allow us to elevate service across all departments and better support our membership growth and retention goals heading into the spring.
One area that has already seen the benefits of this new approach is our Food and Beverage operations. In February, Justin, Chef, Alexa and team delivered several sold-out events, including a romantic Valentine's Day dinner, the return of pasta night, and an electric Friday night wine tasting with Orin Swift that captured the pre-COVID energy in our dining room. We are excited to continue this momentum with several creative events on the horizon. Get ready for both the return of old favorites as well as neverbefore-seen pop-up offerings! Did someone say, Starter Shack Sandwich Smackdown?
Of course, our commitment to elevating service extends beyond the dining room. Charlie, Bryan, Pat, Caleb, and their respective teams are focused on delivering the best possible experience for our members and guests on our world-class course. As we look to the forecast, it appears that frost delays may be quickly becoming a distant memory; soon, we will get to “enjoy” playing out of our new bunkers across all (3) nines With the weather warming up, so too will our golf calendar of events. This year the golf operations team will host over 100 unique events throughout the upcoming year – including member tournaments and events, instructional clinics, demo days, junior golf programming, and non-member events. Additionally, this upcoming season will be decorated by the return of the Sahalee Player’s Championship!
Our Membership and Clubhouse operations teams are also focused on providing exceptional customer service across all touchpoints. Deann and Sarah are both hard at work revamping our Membership & Event collateral, redefining sales processes, developing our new member orientation, and diving into different ways to both elevate and streamline our club communications. In facilities, Vinny has several projects in motion from finalizing the locker room updates including paint, carpet, amenities to getting the final touches on the dining rooms squared away.
Finally, all these great happenings can be defined in success by two measures, member satisfaction and financial results. The team has been receiving a lot of positive feedback from you over the past month since many of these changes have been implemented, but what are they looking like on the financial side of the coin? In February Siemon outlined processes to push the team for timely information to provide accurate results as well as a formalized financial calendar to keep the team accountable.
While the past 4 months have been the “off-season,” I can assure you that the Leadership Team and staff have been busier than ever setting systems in place to support what is sure to be an incredible year. I want to thank you, our members, for your continued support and loyalty to Sahalee Country Club.
As always, if you have any questions, comments, or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I am always here to help and to make your experience at Sahalee the best it can be
Sincerely,
Leslie L. Ludlow
