The Councillors at Sheringham Town Council (STC) are pleased to have the opportunity to continue with this column as a way of keeping residents up to date with news from your Town Council.
Since our last article, Ben Bix (pictured) has joined the Council as Town Clerk. Ben is originally from Mannington, and has joined us from Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, in Surrey. At the Council meeting on 20 July, Councillors decided to continue to understand whether a Pedestrian Friendly Zone would be feasible for the town and will be commissioning a study from the County Council. Councillors also agreed to seek funding for a vehicle activated sign that displays the speed of an approaching vehicle. If the vehicle exceeds the speed limit a ‘slow down’ message is shown, once the limit is exceeded by 10mph the speed is no longer shown. Continued on page 4...
