Felt Creations!

Wet felting is a simple process that uses warm water and wool (so cozy!) to make felted shapes. Participants will learn felt making basics to design and build simple objects like bags or accessories. Then we’ll sew embellishments to make beautiful handcrafted objects. Please note that this class will use natural wool. Youth with lanolin or wool allergies should not participate.

Sew and Sew

For young children, sewing is a rich tactile experience - very fun and satisfying! Students will practice simple sewing on hole punched cardboard forms first, then move on to sewing and stuffing felt animals and ornaments. Students will complete the course with a handful of stuffed friends.

Introduction to Sewing

In this class, participants will complete the construction of an item to be decided. We will cover basic skills that will begin to open the world of apparel creation to you. You will learn how to choose a pattern, fabric, construction, and decorative items that will express your style. You will acquire skills to put it all together and finish the item. This foundation will allow you to branch out into design and creation in your area of interest. Machines provided if needed.
