Coyote and Rabbit

There was a Rabbit sitting in the thickets, when Coyote came up. “What are you doing?” asked Coyote. “I’m here waiting for my family,” said Rabbit. “They all are coming to a big party. They’ll be here in no time.”

Coyote thought: “Perfect! There’s going to be plenty of rabbits. I’ll eat them all.”

“But, you know” said Rabbit. “Gotta go pick them up! It’ll be such a great party, music, fireworks, happiness. You wait here just a minute.”

Rabbit set fire all around the thicket and ran away. Coyote heard a loud sound. “It’s the music! They’re coming” he thought. Coyote was dancing happily, and the fire was getting close. Coyote got burned. He barely managed to escape. This is how Coyote got his scorched look, and again, Coyote was fooled.
