Coyote and Tip-beetle

One day a coyote was walking down a trail, when he found a tasty tip-beetle. “Yummy! I’ll eat him!” Coyote thought.

“Hey Mska’nan!” said Coyote. “Mska’nan, what are you doing? Mska’nan!” insisted Coyote. “Shhhh!” replied the beetle. “Listen! I hear something down below the ground! They are saying they are going to chase and hang all those who have pooed on public trails.”

“Aghhhh! Gee! They are going to kill me!” cried Coyote, and he ran as fast as he could to clean up his poop.

Coyote came back soon, but he could not find the beetle anywhere. He had long been hiding under a stone. Saving himself from being eaten.
