HAPPY EARTH MONTH!

WE HAVE GONE BAGLESS!

Due to the overwhelming response to our reusable tote bags, your RCPL is now bagless! We are happy to provide our patrons with a complimentary bag in order to eliminate our use of plastic bags.

SEED LIBRARY

RCPL’s Seed Library launched on March 20th. Packets of heirloom seeds will be available while supplies last to anyone in the community. No library card is neccessary. Limit of 5 packets per patron.

Pick up your nets and go jellyfishing around Russell Coun ty! From April 1st to 14th, there will be jellyfish floating around various community locations. When you spot a jel lyfish, take a photo including your net, post it on Facebook or Instagram, and tag The Star Theater to be entered to win a ticket to The SpongeBob Musical and a concessions combo.

LET LOVE GROW READING CHALLENGE

In partnership with Necco Foster Care & Counseling ALL AGES

Pick up Necco’s Let Love Grow bookmarks throughout the month to participate in this special reading challenge. For each book you finish reading, fill in a petal or leaf. Return your completed bookmark to RCPL by Saturday, April 29th. The person who reads the most books throughout the challenge will win a prize basket sponsored by Necco Foster Care.

Ready to explore the endless possibilities of 3D printing with your child? During this program, kids along with their grown-ups, will learn about the 3D printing process and how to begin designing their creations. Participants will receive a voucher for a free 3D print from the RCPL Makery to be used at a later date.

In this workshop with Kentucky SBDC Business Coach JC Phelps, you will have the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship. Start Smart is designed to teach you the how-to’s of starting a business, the process of conducting a feasibility analysis, how to choose the correct legal structure, analyzing financial considerations, and more. Training is provided free of charge!

Learn everything you need to know to start 3D printing in this series of workshops. This month we will expand our knowledge with Tinkercad by creating custom keychains with a scannable code of your favorite song! Fuse your love for music AND 3D printing in this awesome combo!
