a Ciudad de Mendoza, reconocida internacionalmente a partir de su inclusión entre las denominadas Grandes Capitales Mundiales del Vino, es un importante centro de recepción que recibe año tras año, la afluencia de viajeros de todo el mundo que llegan para visitar el Aconcagua, conocer los caminos del vino y los bellos paisajes, entre otras actividades. Los atractivos naturales y el desarrollo de la vitivinicultura, han posicionado a Mendoza como una ciudad en pleno crecimiento turístico. Por eso, y por ser el punto de partida para realizar numerosas actividades al aire libre, fue la ciudad más votada de Latinoamérica en el concurso de "las siete ciudades más maravillosas del mundo" organizado por los creadores de New 7 Wonders, sitio que seleccionó a las Cataratas del Iguazú como una de las nuevas 7 maravillas naturales. Este tipo de concursos que tienen una gran aceptación del público ayudan a descubrir lugares de nuestro planeta que pueden ser sorprendentes. The city of Mendoza, internationally recognized from its inclusion among the so-called big capital world of wine, is an important reception centre which receives year after year, the influx of travelers from around the world who come to visit the Aconcagua, meet the wine roads and beautiful scenery, among other activities. The natural attractions and the development of the viticulture, have positioned Mendoza as a city in full tourist growth. For that, and for being the starting point for numerous activities in the open air, was the most voted city in Latin America in "the seven most wonderful cities in the world" contest organized by the creators of New 7 Wonders, site that selected to the Iguazù falls as one of the new 7 natural wonders. This kind of competitions that have a great acceptance of the public help to discover places of our planet that can be surprising. In the phase of nomination, which began on March 6, 2012, Mendoza was chosen from among more than 1,200 cities in 220 countries nominated for the contest and defeated cities tourist and recognized in the world as Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Cusco and Lima.
