Traversing myth and realism, Kalki demonstrates that symbols of hope are as needed now as ever. It is a timely production that speaks to our universal capacity for hope, even in the darkest times. In Hindu mythology, Kalki is the prophesied tenth and final incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the avatar who is sent to earth to punish the wicked and rejuvenate existence by ending the dark and destructive period of Kali Yuga. Through classical Indian dance and poignant and often funny narrative, Kalki retells the myth through the perspectives of two women living in the present.

Every term culminates in a showcase where the children get to experience the magic of performing live theatre to an audience of family and friends.

With thanks to revenue generated through Friends & Patron memberships, and donations from customers and Business Supporters, we are able to offer our Core Create and Sparks sessions at a reduced fee of £50 (usually £80). We also offer a sibling discount, so if you have two siblings taking part in activities, the termly fee for the second child/young person would only be £25. For families living with financial hardship, we would not want the termly fees to prevent your child or young person being able to take part, so, we have a limited amount of free, bursary-funded places. Ignition is Frantic Assembly’s free nationwide talent development programme, open to all young people aged 16-24, seeking out under-represented talent in unexpected places.

This Autumn, Frantic Assembly will be travelling across the UK to deliver free taster and trial workshops in association with their 13 regional partners.

Frantic Ignition’s high-energy taster and trial workshops are facilitated for young people who face barriers to accessing the arts. Visiting both theatres and traditionally non-arts spaces, these workshops have been created to let all young people know that the arts can be for them.

Concept offers a free weeklong studio residency for 12-18 year olds, with the opportunity to collaborate with professional musicians, music producers and industry specialists to create and record an original album of music based around a shared concept or theme. Develop your musical, lyrical and production skills whilst working as a production team, gaining confidence, communication and social skills along the way.

This will be a perfect opportunity for teachers bringing students to see the RSC’s First Encounters with Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet production.

Moving Together

Moving Together offers creative dance opportunities for teachers and students across Northamptonshire Schools. Providing CPD and specialist support for teachers, students will be able to develop their dance and movement skills, work collaboratively with peers and staff, perform in a theatre showcase and gain an Arts Award qualification. Running throughout Spring and Summer 2024, this programme is suitable for all age groups, and particularly suitable for schools working towards their ArtsMark.

Transaction Fee

All information is correct at time of printing but we reserve the right to make any alterations to the programme, performers, times and ticket prices. Access

The Core at Corby Cube is an accessible venue. The lifts from ground floor to all levels of the auditorium are at reduced capacity so are reserved for use by those with access needs.

Spaces for wheelchairs are available together with adjacent seats in the auditoria for companions or carers.

Parking for Blue Badge holders is available adjacent to Corby Cube. Guide Dogs are welcome. There is an induction loop or wireless hard of hearing system for all performances. Wireless headsets are available by request when you get your tickets scanned upon

Getting Here Seating Plan

The Corby Cube, George Street, Corby, NN17 1QG

The Core is situated within easy reach of the train station, all the main bus routes and road links, and a stone’s throw from Willow Place Shopping Centre. The entrance is located on George Street.

Car Parking

Parking is available right next door to Corby Cube and Corby East Midlands International Swimming Pool. If this is full, we suggest the Victoria Place car park as a suitable alternative.

Please note that an evening parking charge of 20p applies from 6pm – midnight, Monday – Saturday inclusive. Sunday parking is free all day/evening.
