Force adversaries to talk and you may achieve peace. What happens when you lock up a Celtic fan with a Rangers fan on the day of the big match? Fireworks, that’s what!
Billy and Tim have been steeped in bigotry since birth. Is it possible for them to change their views? And why is the sergeant waiting on tenterhooks for the phone to ring?
Des Dillon delights, entertains and educates on the religious origins of the Celtic-Rangers conflict. Beneath its amusement, this award-winning play explores bigotry and ethnic identity on both a microcosmic and macrocosmic scale. Through the lens of the two characters locked in a prison cell, we witness the generational repercussions of Catholic and Protestant strife.

Not only will your membership fee support The Core, but you will also receive benefits including discounted tickets, no transaction fees and 10% off at the bar. See page 2 for more information.
Every penny we receive helps ensure that the arts are accessible to everyone, particularly children and young people. Please consider adding a donation to your next ticket order.
By becoming a business supporter of The Core, your company will be helping us to enrich the lives of young people, families and the wider community. While you’re helping us, you’ll be building your brand awareness through access to our large audiences and across our networks.
We understand that not all businesses are the same, so we can work to create a bespoke package for you. Contact kate@thecorecorby.com for more information.

Our Ticket Office is open Tue – Fri 10am – 6pm, Sat 10am – 5pm, or until 15 minutes after the last show of the day commences. When a performance takes place outside of these days, our Ticket Office opens one hour before the start time, and closes 15 minutes after.
Our Ticket Office will ask when you book if you would like to receive further information from us about The Core’s events and activities. We will then record your wishes and use them to inform what you receive from us in future. You can update these preferences at any time by accessing your account via our website or by calling the Ticket Office. All data collected is in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 18. Full information on how we use it can be found at www.thecorecorby.com/about-us/privacy.
The Core is committed to being a family friendly organisation. Some of the facilities we offer to make your visit run as smoothly as possible include booster seats, child-friendly food and beverages and, of course, a warm friendly welcome. Many of our family shows offer a self-led, pre-show craft activity.
Concessions are available for selected shows for Under 16s, 60+, Students, Jobseekers, Disabled Patrons and Companions.
Additional concessions are available for certain shows, including family tickets (max 2 adults) – full details are highlighted on individual show entries and at www.thecorecorby.com
A range of great discounts and other benefits are available to Groups & Schools. To find out more about our group rates for bookings of 10+ and how we can make your visit as a group hassle free, please contact our dedicated Groups Advisor, Gillian, using gillian.lockwood@thecorecorby.com
We charge a £2 per-transaction fee for telephone and website bookings of £15 and over. This does not apply in person or to Friends, Groups and Disabled Patrons. As ticket revenue is divided between many different parties, an increase in ticket prices may not necessarily benefit The Core. By adding a small transaction charge, we ensure that every penny of this goes to your local venue and the projects we run with local communities and young people.
We are unable to exchange or refund tickets after they are purchased, unless an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control, or where there is a material change to the programme of the event.
We have introduced a new set of guidelines to encourage all of our visitors to be respectful and have the best possible time while attending our venues.
Be An Ally: Everyone deserves to feel valued and supported. Racism, homophobia, and other hateful behaviours have no place in our society, and will not be tolerated in our spaces.
Enjoy The Show: Be considerate of the performers and the people around you. We love to see you enjoy the shows, it’s why we do what we do. However, if behaviours become obstructive or create an unsafe environment, we will ask that they stop.
Forget Your Phone For A While: Switch to silent. Please do not take pictures or film during performances.
The Core at Corby Cube is a registered charity. Charity No. 1139035
All concessions are subject to availability and should be checked at time of booking. Proof of status will be required. Please note that not all concessions are available with online booking. All information is correct at time of printing but we reserve the right to make any alterations to the programme, performers, times and ticket prices. Every effort will be made to advertise changes in the local press and via www.thecorecorby.com. Retrospective discounts are not available, including discounts linked to our Friends scheme.
The Core at Corby Cube is an accessible venue. Lifts from the ground floor serve all levels of the auditorium.
Spaces for wheelchairs are available together with adjacent seats in the auditoria for companions or carers.
Parking for Blue Badge holders is available adjacent to The Corby Cube. Guide Dogs are welcome. There is an induction loop or wireless hard of hearing system for all performances. Wireless headsets are available by request via a steward or member of staff at the ticket desk. If you have not done so yet, please register to our free Access Scheme. By
taking a few minutes to tell us about your specific requirements, our staff and volunteers can ensure your tickets and seats fit your needs perfectly, leaving you free to relax and enjoy your visit. You can find descriptions of our accessible performances at www.thecorecorby.com/access
A black and white version of our brochure is available to view on our website.
