NEWS FROM LADIES CIRCLE
To the readers and fellow Tablers;
I want to first of start by thanking all of you for giving me the opportunity to be in this position. You, as the readers are the real hero’s out there, and it is thanks to all of you that this beautiful magazine is still active
It is a huge honour and a massive privilliage to be the Editor for this term and I look forward for the rest of my term to come I know that this experience will teach me a lot and I am eager to learn
For those of you who might not know me, I am Wouter from Potch 47 in the STNOFS Area I was Inducted in 2022 and soon found the core of Round Table. The opportunity for STNOFS PRO was presented to me and I took on the challenge head on.
I was again presented with this opportunity, and again I took the hand reaching out. From my perspective it is quite simple, we are all handed opportunities, we just need to take them.
My time in Table have thought me so much all ready, and I continue to learn and evolve myself on a daily basis The same with this responsibility, it gives me the opportunity to learn, while having fun and to Table at the same time
THE FIRST EDITION:
This was not the easiest thing to construct and I am still finding my feet However, it brought me much joy and I found my rhythm after a while Now we only improve from here
The first thing is, there are no page numbers or a context to refer to This is to make it more challenging and interactive for you, the readers, by reading more as you pass through to find what you are looking for.
Then I must admit, it is very colourful, busy and definitely all over the place... But hey, we are Tablers and we also stand out wherever we are. It is part of our nature, and it’s FUN!
Furthermore, I think it is pretty basic and simple. It is stories of our brothers doing good in the community, helping those in need and having fun with each other along the way Then just an award or two and some trophies, but mostly, stories
I am excited about what lies ahead We are all going to improve and build as a collective We are going to teach each other and all of us will grow
Lekker Lees
Wouter “KAPTEIN
It is almost 2 months since ARTSA 2024, and some fantastic memories still linger in our heads. Firstly, a shout out and a big thank you to the South Cape Area, Tablers and wives that put in all the effort to arrange an ARTSA to be proud of.
Special mention should also be made to the Eastern Province Area for winning the food tables. In true Eastern Province style….
Gents, with this being the first edition of the Inkundla for the new term, please allow me to thank our outgoing President, Louis Radley and his executive team for steering our association in the past year
You guys did a fantastic job and should all be proud of the efforts you have put in and the achievements accomplished! It truly was an honour and a privilege to serve next to you.
In closing, we are hitting the middle of winter, and the temperature keeps dropping. This is a call to all Tablers to get involved with our Winter Knights Alliance Project.
Every blanket sourced and donated, do make a difference, keep driving the impactful change in your community!
Yours in Table, Antonie Smit
RTSA President 2024/2025
The Annual 41ers Association of Southern Africa's Golf Tour took place from the 8th to the 10th of February, organized by Gauteng 41ers Rob Gordon and Tony Stock The event brought together avid old tablers and golfers from all over the region for a weekend of friendly competition and camaraderie
We started off on Thursday Evening with a welcome party and kick-off celebration at Round Table Golden East 181 Clubhouse where we received our personalized golf shirts and balls and various other items sponsored in our Goody Bags.
The picturesque Serengeti Golf Course played host to the participants on Friday, offering a challenging yet scenic backdrop for a day of golfing excellence With its lush green fairways and strategically placed hazards, the course provided the perfect setting for golfers to showcase their skills and enjoy the sport they love Golfers and non-golfers enjoyed the 19th hole as can be predicted and discussions about the course and old table stories continued well into the night when we reconvened for dinner at the RT Golden East Clubhouse
On Saturday, the action shifted to the Ebotse Links Course, where players were met with different four ball partners and a new set of challenges and opportunities. The course's unique layout and design tested the golfers' abilities, ensuring an exciting and competitive day of golf. Non-golfers Dellorin Bornman and Ben Burger were supposed to man a drinks cart enjoyed the clubhouse so much that they didn’t venture out into the scorching sun.
The highlight of the tour was the Prize Giving ceremony, held at the Round Table Golden East Clubhouse A special booby was awarded to Dellorin and Ben for not fulfilling their Drinks Cart duties Participants gathered to celebrate the winners, share old Round Table stories and stories from the course, and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with a shared passion for golf and Round Table Prizes were awarded to the top performers, recognizing their skill and dedication throughout the tour.

Overall, the Annual 41ers Association of Southern Africa's Golf Tour was a resounding success, bringing together golf enthusiasts for a memorable weekend of sport, friendship, and fun Special thanks to Rob Gordon and Tony Stock for their impeccable organization and Golden East Round Table members for their hospitality that ensured that all attendees had a fantastic experience, creating lasting memories and forging new connections within the 41ers community We look forward to seeing everyone at the next golf tour in 2025 hosted by Nico McNamara and 41’ers in the Midlands
A Toast: ‘May the hand of a friend always be near you, And your heart be filled with gladness to cheer you. And drink to all worth drinking to. Love to one, friendship to many, and good will to all.”
In the realm where the fairways stretch like emerald ribbons and the gentle whisper of the wind carries the echoes of camaraderie, Stutterheim Round Table embarked on a memorable journey to Aliwal North Their mission? To compete for the esteemed Border Area Sporting Trophy in a day filled with camaraderie, competition, and shared passion for the game of golf.
Nestled amidst the scenic beauty of Aliwal North, the golf course served as the stage for a vibrant tapestry of friendship and fun. Members of Stutterheim Round Table, along with their counterparts from Aliwal North 55 and Queenstown 16, converged to celebrate the spirit of fellowship that transcends mere competition. Laughter echoed across the greens as old friends reunited and new connections were forged, weaving the fabric of community that lies at the heart of Round Table
With clubs in hand and determination in their hearts, the players took to the course, each swing bringing them closer to their shared goal The air buzzed with excitement as they navigated the challenges of the course, drawing strength from the bonds of friendship that united them Though victory remained elusive for Stutterheim Round Table on this occasion, their spirits remained undaunted, fuelled by the thrill of the game and the promise of future challenges.
As the sun set on a day filled with memories, Stutterheim Round Table gracefully acknowledged the triumph of Queenstown Round Table, the new holders of the coveted Border Area Sporting Trophy Yet, far from being disheartened, they embraced the spirit of sportsmanship, eagerly anticipating the challenge that lay ahead. For in the world of Round Table, victory is but a fleeting moment, while the bonds of friendship endure forever.
As they bid farewell to Aliwal North and the echoes of cheers that resounded across the greens, Stutterheim Round Table emerged richer in spirit and strengthened in unity. Their journey may have begun on the fairways of Aliwal North, but their adventure continues wherever the spirit of Round Table leads them With hearts full of anticipation and camaraderie as their guiding light, they eagerly await the next chapter in their golfing odyssey, ready to embrace whatever challenges lie ahead
In the end, it is not the trophies or accolades that define their journey, but the friendships forged and the memories shared along the way And in this, Stutterheim Round Table stands united, bound by a love for the game and a commitment to the ideals of Round Table
Once a year, all Tablers gets highly excited about a certain event Welkom 40 was no exception, and the boys were planning their routes, lifts, and accommodation for weeks When the time came for ARTSA, Welkom 40 sent a total of eight Tablers to ARTSA
The gentlemen attended the forums, AGM and all the social events for the weekend. The weekend was finished off with the beautiful gala dinner on Saturday night where everyone dressed up for a night of awards and great fellowship.
Some of the Welkom 40 men stayed behind with their families for a bit of an extended holiday. This is always a bonus for the inland crowd and the boys enjoyed it immensely.
ARTSA is the time where the Tablers can make new friends, build relationships across the country and the world, and have a glimpse of how good Table can be in our lives ARTSA shows us the best we can be and the unbelievable work that Round Table does in our communities

What began with great anticipation turned into another memorable experience that will be cherished for years to come
ARTSA, regarded as the premier event for Round Table gatherings in Southern Africa, consistently delivers an exceptional experience and should not be missed After a year of separation from cherished friends, the event serves as a highly anticipated reunion filled with excitement and camaraderie. This year's gathering was no exception.
The opportunity to foster meaningful connections with fellow members within one's own table is complemented by the chance to reconnect with individuals from across South Africa and beyond, bridging vast distances and creating a sense of timelessness. Round Table elevates the concept of fellowship, enabling unparalleled socialization among tablers Regardless of location, a tabler is considered a brother, embodying one of the most cherished aspects of this organization: the enduring friendships formed with individuals encountered throughout one's journey
Regrettably, not all tablers are able to attend ARTSA However, there is always the prospect of future gatherings, which promise to be equally enriching, if not more so, as opportunities arise to reconnect with fellow members
ARTSA 2024 in Mosselbay will undoubtedly be remembered as an exceptional event.
“DIT WAS LEKKER BY DIE SEE” Marcu Kriegler
As we set out on our road trip to ARTSA 2024, the atmosphere was electric in the car. We drove through the night trying to catch the time and not miss a thing when the event start. As we drove through the evening, we had a few pit stops to fill up the car and grab a quick bite to eat and a fresh cup of coffee. As time passed by the mood and the atmosphere changed in the car as each of us realised that we are only a couple of kilometres from our destination, the music was pumping as we sang along to our favourite tunes
As we entered Mosselbay, we saw a lot of Tablers and realised that this is going to be the event of the year We parked the car at the hotel, unpacked and made our way to Pirates Tower where the rest of Pretoria 136 were waiting for everyone We had a couple of drinks and something to eat and made our way back to the hotel to get ready for the beach party
At the beach party that evening the spirit was high, stories were shared with long lost brothers and new family members were met We all had a jol dressed up in our best swim suits, with flowers around our necks and flip flops on our feet. We danced the night away, singing to old tunes and so not familiar ones, but still nothing could bring the our spirit down. As the party draw to a close, everyone made their way back to the hotels. The next morning it was an early start for some off us as we headed to the AGM forums where all the topics from financials to marketing were discussed and gave the brave his chance to object or bring a motion to the topic being discussed. As the forums closed, it was time for the food tables from each area, now what a way to have a free lunch as we walked passed the tables having the opportunity to taste the different kinds of food being displayed to be judged by the judges
After the food tables it was time yet again for a party, and what a party it was, lots of drinks and shooters being consumed, pins and coins being exchanged and new friendships being build.
The Saturday morning it was time for the important meeting and the reason why we all went to ARTSA 2024. Each council member gave his report on the past year with his portfolio that we entrusted him with. The time had come for the outgoing President to give his final report back to the members sitting in front of him With tears filling up Louis Radleys eyes he knew that he could deliver his report with proud in his heart With a standing ovation Louis smiled and thanked the members as he made his way back to his chair The meeting draw to a close and every table representative made his way our of the meeting hall to join up with the ladies who was having a jol at the ladies tour
After a quick drink and something to eat, we all got dressed up for the black tie dinner event the evening where a lot of trophies where handed out to members locally and internationally for making a difference in the organisation. The time has come to announce the new council for 2024/2025 and this was a proud moment not only for me but also for the rest of Pretoria 136 as one of our very own Antonie Snoopy Smit got inducted as the new President of the organisation. We as table couldn’t be more proud of Antonie, knowing that the plans he has for table can only make table better and stronger. After a night filled with excitement we all got up the Sunday morning and knew it was time to make the 1276km journey back to Pretoria, but we knew it was worth it Seeing old friends and making new friends, sharing memories and making memories, nothing can compare to the value it brings to your life
As the curtains draw on ARTSA 2024, I find myself brimming with pride and gratitude for the extraordinary STNOFS team. Each member, a vital cog in the Green Army machine, has played an integral role in our collective success.

As we gather around our tables every month, I am honored to share with you a vision that embodies the essence of our values at Round Table Pretoria 136 - growing our brotherhood from 7 to 14 members in 2023/24, with a steadfast focus on family and charity in 2024.
At the heart of our Table lies the spirit of family and our brothers who stand by us through thick and thin. Expanding our membership allowed us to welcome more like-minded individuals into our table, enriching our brotherhood with diverse perspectives, experiences, and bonds By fostering a sense of belonging among 14 members, we strengthen the foundation upon which our Table stands, ensuring that every brother feels valued, supported, and cherished
Central to our mission is the noble endeavour of charity and service to those in need With a larger membership, we exponentially increase our capacity to make a meaningful impact on our communities where we drive Adopt Adapt Improve By extending our reach to 14 members, we broaden the scope of our endeavours, enabling us to tackle a wider array of projects and initiatives that uplift and empower those less fortunate.
Whether it's organizing fundraisers, volunteering at local shelters, or spearheading community outreach programs, each brother's contribution becomes a catalyst for positive change, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those we serve.
As we expand our Table, we extend a warm invitation to new brothers who share our commitment to family and charity. Together, we forge bonds that transcend geographical boundaries, cultural differences, and personal backgrounds. Through shared experiences, shared values, and shared aspirations, we form a tapestry of brotherhood that transcends the limitations of individuality, uniting us in a common purpose to make a difference in the world.
The decision to grow our Table from 7 to 14 members embodies the spirit of unity, compassion, and service that defines our brotherhood By embracing family values, empowering charity, and nurturing brotherhood, we embark on a journey of growth, fulfillment, and purpose Let us stand together, shoulder to shoulder, as we continue to uphold the legacy of Round Table Pretoria 136 and leave a lasting legacy of love, generosity, and brotherhood for generations to come
YIT Wian Vogel Round Table 136 PretoriaBlanket Drive – Probably the most liked words in Swakopmund Round Table Every year, this is a highlight on our calendar and if it is possible, we go twice! We had our first blanket drive for 2024 the weekend of 10-12 May I know this might sound like a cliché, but once again it was one to remember Unfortunately, the blanket drive was not as well attended as previous ones, but that did not stop Jandre, Willie, and me from giving it our all! We decided that this blanket drive, the beneficiaries will be the community in the Spitzkoppe area. The area is really struggling with drought and the area gets extremely cold during the winter.
We arrived at Spitzkoppe on Friday afternoon and relaxed a bit before the big task on Saturday. We had a quiet evening, mostly focused on planning our drive for the next day.
On Saturday morning we had our May Business Meeting and, thereafter, we set off to hand out blankets to the needy community We tried to get to the communities that are off the main road and do not get in contact with tourists and civilization as often We took all the twotrack dirt roads along the main roads and handed out blankets along the way
Most of the blankets were given to children and the elderly In total we donated 80 Blankets during our drive Seeing the reactions from the recipients really made it special Some of them were honestly shocked that they were getting something valuable and not having to give something in return
I hope we can all attend the next blanket drive, as this initiative is really important for team building and fellowship.
Socials have been a hot topic discussed around our table since the beginning of the year and in March it was my turn to organize an event to socialize
I am sure this is something we will do a lot more during the rest of the year. R T 1 4 5 S O C I A L
Given my social calendar and the numerous public holidays, this proved to be a challenge
Luckily for me, Harry had a project to discuss and clearly, we only need half an opportunity to turn any event into a social
We met at the clubhouse on 20th March to discuss the trolley dash project and although the importance of the project was not undermined, we were rather in a rush to officially start the social after the meeting
We had the legs join us after the meeting for a “bring & braai” at the clubhouse Although the idea is simple and easy, this proved to be a great concept. The bar received some much-needed income, and we had the opportunity to utilize the clubhouse for something other than business for a change.
Even though it was a relatively early night for most of us, we had a blast. I received great feedback from Eunice and I hope the other tablers’ legs also enjoyed it.
If there is one thing Swakopmund can do, it is hosting an Area. We had the opportunity again this year to host the Area AGM and for the first time ever, we decided to invite everyone to the Boere Bahamas, for those of you who are not familiar with this magical place, it is also known as Henties Bay.
We had a wonderful turnout of 59 members together with their families It is always great fun attending the February area as we get the chance to meet new tablers from RTSA and catch up with old friends who join the annual fishing boogie This year we had two international guests joining from Luxembourg and let me tell you, these guys had a ball of a time.
Friday evening, we had a “relaxing” get-together at the venue to meet and catch up with some old and new faces. There was no last man-standing award as I fear this once sought-after title has now become a one-man show with little resistance shown by the other tablers.
On Saturday morning, we had to be up bright and early for breakfast and ready for the meeting to start The meeting was opened by Eduard and we were all ready, stocked with either energy drinks or alcohol to tackle the meeting head-on
After the meeting, it was evident that everyone did not relax as they should’ve and probably 99% of attendees went to take a nap and recharge for the evening, leaving the venue to be a ghost town.
The evening’s theme was island getaway and as usual, Swakopmund stood out as the premier table of the Namibian Area when it comes to commitment, amongst other things.
We held the much-anticipated boat races and with the likes of Chris and Christo in their team, it was always going to be an uphill battle for the other teams to beat Walvis Bay in the team event They were however no match for Agent Orange in the individual event as he took home the individual drinking trophy
I had a great weekend and I hope the rest of the area that was in attendance shares my sentiments.
What a start to the year! After a very eventful area AGM also hosted by Swakopmund 145, it was once again time for our annual induction dinner. As we know from past experiences, the coastal tables like to do things differently, and after being the very first tables in the Namibian Area to host a combined induction dinner, Swakopmund 145 and Walvis Bay 36 were the only clubs in the Namibian Area to combine their induction dinner again this year
This was my first induction dinner where I was the convenor and just a word of advice to the person organising next year's induction dinner, start looking for an MC NOW! It is amazing that when you ask someone why they joined the organization, probably 90% of the members will tell you something about personal growth, yet when it comes to public speaking nobody wants to grow anymore I am glad we have the ever-dependable Byron the Siren in our organization who decided this will be the year he takes his growth to the next level and stepped up as MC. The people who know Byron might not believe it but he fears public speaking more than Leigh fears grasshoppers, yet he stood up and did an admiral job at being MC. I am happy we have another name in the hat for future MCs!
Now for the fun part. The venue was set and we were dressed and ready for a glamorous evening at the Seaside Hotel and SPA Like every year, the legs stole the show Given the effort made by the legs, it certainly shows what this evening means to them, and the importance of the annual induction dinner in our social calendar We had a great turnout of 42 guests, and a big thank you must be given to Walvis Bay who showed up in numbers It is a pity and probably a first for our club that we did not have one Swakopmund 145 41’er attending the event
First to speech was Monolito who reflected on his year as the Chairman of Walvis Bay 36 and handed out his trophies, most notably the tabler of the year award which was awarded to Joppie, congratulations Joppie! After Monolito, I had a chance to say a few words to reflect on my year as Chairman of Swakopmund 145, I will not bore you with what was said, but I would once again for the last time like to thank my table for 2023. It was also an honor to name Harry as the tabler of the year, once again.
As with any induction dinner, the speeches kept on coming, and up next it was the newly elected Chairman of Walvis Bay 36, Joppie who took CenterStage. To be honest, it was getting quite late at this stage and I have a medical condition where I get severe memory loss from 22:00 every Friday and Saturday evening, so I cannot remember much of what was said from this point forward.
The newly inducted Chairman of Swakopmund 145, Willie had the last speech of the evening and gave the table some words of motivation and encouragement for the year ahead
In what I am sure was a surprising turn of events for members of the other tables, our clubhouse bar was stocked and everyone was invited to the afterparty at the club Unfortunately, we did not have the turnout we anticipated, but a few die-hard tablers did their best and gave it their all to ensure the bar had a positive turnover!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who assisted with advice and arrangements, especially Harry.
I would also like to congratulate Willie and Joppie for being elected as Chairman of their respective clubs, I trust both of you are the right individuals to take charge of your clubs and steer them to new heights.
As a relatively new Tabler, namely a Kokstad 35 pipeliner now based in Toti (a Table that has since dissolved), I have had the opportunity to roam between various tables around Southern KZN and help out where and when possible The newly sworn-in NCSA chair and seasoned Sani 152 Tabler, Kevin Fraser, kindly offered the opportunity to help out at this year’s Splashy Fen Festival to which I happily agreed and I’ve given my account of the event below.
The 2024 rendition of Splashy brought out gees festivalgoers and Tablers alike, didn’t know they had. Sani 152 was once again given the green light to provide much-needed ammunition to the cooler boxes of the Splashy Fen crowds and they most certainly delivered. Where ice sales just about crossed 5000 bags sold in 2023, this record was already smashed on the Saturday with the total bags sold over the festival tallying 6700.
The process was as rewarding as it was physically demanding, as the volunteers could interact with a variety of forms and faces of all walks of life as well as having a fat jol with beers on-ice (no shortage of this) in the tent Laughs were had and friendships were strengthened and formed amidst raising funds on behalf of Sani 152
In the face of representing the Rondel and serving the community, there is a unique sense of accomplishment and gratification that comes with it Everyone involved, albeit helped a bit by the ice-cold beers readily available from about 9 am each day, performed their roles with a smile and never shied away from offering a helping hand where needed Some even joined us 2 days after they tied the knot to show their commitment to Table,
Congrats Jason and Courtney Lucey!
The stall also facilitated a fundraiser and held a raffle for #MustacheSunday to raise awareness for the conversation around Men’s Mental Health The message to men to not Camouflage your emotions (#dontcamoyourself) was conveyed to the customers The idea that society tends to pressurize men to hide their emotions in the name of showing strength is one that needs to be dispelled. A simple “How are you doing?” could open the gates and save a life. By donning their mustaches on the Sunday, festivalgoers could show solidarity in this important conversation. The festival itself made for a jol in the true sense, with the weather playing its part nicely for 3 of the 4 days. Once the day’s ice was sold, the volunteers could really let loose and were treated to performances by the likes of Desmond & the Tutus, Matthew Mole, a back-from-the-dead Parlotones (my highlight of the weekend) and international acts such as American Authors The organizers Stu and Fuzz somehow really knocked it out the park with the lineup amidst a difficult global financial climate A well-run festival could be enjoyed by all All-in all the efforts of Tablers, their wives/partners as well as friends was commendable It collectively took hundreds of man-hours to supply the masses with ice and this effort could be felt as we all braved the stages and beer tents at the end of the day Camaraderie and all around good vibes was felt by all the role-players and the bond between Round Table and this festival could further be strengthened A huge thank you and well done to all involved!
On the 15TH of December 2023, we hosted a braai with all the residents of the St Joseph’s old age home We had sponsors for the charcoal, buns, wors and even a chocolate for all the residents
Upon arrival, we could feel the excitement from all the residents of ST Joseph’s Some of the elderly women even believed that we were the South African rugby team (Springboks) coming to visit them for the day We had a blast spending the day with every single person and even more importantly, so did they
We enjoyed all the stories and tails told. However, most importantly the happiness and joy on every person’s face was what made every second spent with them valuable.
We are all looking forward to our next visit to ST Joseph’s!
Furthermore, we committed ourselves to provide manual labour for their building maintenance.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors who made this day possible:

On the 1st of December 2023 Powerlines 239 hosted an old-fashioned dance just like the kind we grew up with Falling asleep underneath the tables (not us, the kids) while our parents had the time of their life
We have been wanting to do something like this for quite some time, but we just haven’t had the opportunity This time around we were able to pull it off with everyone in Powerlines giving their all to make the event spectacular.
The dance was held at Die Groenkoei restaurant in Middelburg, and they accommodated us in the best way possible. We initially catered for 86 people who booked and paid beforehand, but we ended up with 128 people attending.
We bought the best braai packs from Liconi butchery in Fouriesburg at a great price. Many of the guests joined us around the fire while we tended to the meat, and we ended up having the best “kuier” around the braai
All funds raised was pushed straight back into the community This project was voted Project of the year at our AGM that was held middle December
The Toer om die vloer dance certainly brought the GEES!! P O W E R L I N E S 2 3 9 T O E R O M D I E V L O E R
Thank you to everyone who made this night so special. We are well on our way to reaching our goal of delivering much needed socks to the Môreson ACVV Kinder- en Jeugsorgsentrum
We are however, not done yet We still have time left for donations, so please get in touch with us, alternatively we will come to you
Thank you Round Table family and friends The spirit of family and camaraderie is healthy and strong at George Round Table 30
Over the weekend RT32 had another successful beach cleanup
It was great to see that Hartenbos main beach was mostly clean & we only collected 12kg's of trash with some big items in between.
Thank you to everyone assisting in cleaning & leaving a legacy of an environment that we care for. Every little effort eventually makes a massive difference.
Safe to say that our first George Round Table 30 Town Cleanup was a clean sweep. We got stuck in and made the most of our time, collecting and cleaning up a fair amount of debris. Making it extra special; having 41ers from out of town drive by and pulling up to say “hi”, We couldn't help but show them our clubhouse. This is what Table is all about Generations of upstanding men coming together to make a difference Thank you to all who showed up We look forward to bigger and better in the months to come
The first quarter of the 2024 tabling year has kicked off strongly for us at Golden East 181 – well known as “the Greatest Club in the World” - which is a continuation of the successful year we had in 2023 Keeping to the principal of the “Table MBA”, this year sees most of us taking up portfolios that we have not done before, with a collective focus for the year being on our brand awareness leading to membership
From an administrative point of view, to date we have completed four monthly business meetings, and our AGM in February which wrapped up the 2023 Table year, and saw the appointment of Wesley Kloppers as Chairman for 2024. Our business meetings have all been constructive and well attended, and have seen some new guests as well as visiting tables at each of them. We also welcomed two pipeliners - Sibusiso and Mpendulo to our club, and wish them well on their table journey.
Our projects complete so far this year include two rounds of blood donations by all of our eligible members, totalling 12 pints. We were also a part of the ATC golf day held at Pollak Park in Brakpan which saw the sale of some Boikanyo Merchandise GE181 also hosted the 41’rs Annual Golf Tournament, which saw our clubhouse playing host for three evenings of meals and fellowship as well as the 41ers AGM GE181 donated R1,181 to the plea put out for Rentia Oosthuizen who needed funds to represent South Africa a the 2nd Trisome games in Turkey We also assisted marshalling the Ride for Sight cycle race which got some good brand awareness exposure We are also in the process of brewing own Boikanyo Brew Beer for an upcoming project
Our annual Easter Egg drive was a highlight for the quarter and a great success, with collections held at both Oakfields and Towers Pick-n-pay on the Saturday preceding the Easter Holidays. The community really supported us this year with a total ofeggs and other Easter goodies donated valued at R9900.
The distribution of this was done in two parts – the first covering our regularly supported charities within our community which included Sonop, Benoni Child Welfare, Urban Ruins, RySky, and many more and ended with an Easter egg hunt for 35 children at Colin House in Northmead The second part was done by our two pipeliners, which covered ten orphanages and places of safety in Daveyton and the surrounding areas At each of the venues a fun day and activities was organised to go with the goody bag handout which helped in spreading some Easter Joy within the community
It also featured the Easter Bunny who was there to help with the activities and gift bags that were being handed out to a total of 396 children across the various places of safety.
Fellowship has never been a problem at GE181, which is highlighted by the number of socials and gatherings we have had so far this year. Among these was our own Induction Dinner and awards evening, as well as the RTGA Induction dinner held at Golf Reef City This saw GE181 take home the Gauteng Area Table of the Year award for our 2023 efforts, most noticeable of which was the 1133 man hours put in by GE181 which accounted for 2/3 of the total hours for the area - a true achievement and a testament to the positive and committed attitudes of all of our members
Upcoming highlights for second quarter include the Benoni Beer and Gin Fest, where GE181 will be selling our very own Boikanyo Brew Beer to raise funds for the Boikanyo Foundation, as well as a much bigger and better version of the Warm Vees with Martin Bester which we are aiming for an attendance of around 3000 people.
Despite all of the above good work and true essence of what tabling should be about, the most critical question being asked of us by far is how many more months our very own Jonathan Tanner is going to keep being awarded the Bent Penny. His efforts to date have secured him the title of “Most Successful Bent Penny Holder” with an impressive 15 month consecutive streak of mishaps, failures and other general Bent Penny worthy behaviour. We truly are witnessing an unbelievable performance from him, and all of us at GE181 can only but hold up our beers and say Cheers!

The morning was but harsh and unforgiving as we had guys from Botswana at our club house the night before, and you can imagine what stories were told and of course we all had one too many!
When we arrived at the putt putt with an unpleasant hungover, our game faces were put on and it was battle of the fittest.
Throughout the day we heard people shouting and cheering as they scored hole in one’s and we saw the disgust of some others who kept on missing the hole.
Nevertheless we pushed through and finished a pleasant 18 hole game, with a smile on each and everyone’s face!
Thank you to my brothers for coming through and this is just one of many games to come!

Kloof 190 Round Table orchestrated a delightful 4th birthday bash for a devoted young fan of Uncle Jumbo's show With an ensemble of beloved characters including Uncle Jumbo, Noddy, Mario, and a Baddy, the party was an instant hit Despite not generating funds, the unwavering dedication of our team members translated into 16 man-hours invested
Moreover, the impact of this complimentary project extended beyond the festivities We seized the opportunity to inform all attending parents about the Round Table's mission and initiatives. Their enthusiastic response assured us of their continued support, amplifying the reach and impact of our efforts.
Witnessing the sheer joy and excitement on the children's faces made every moment of the Saturday afternoon preparation and character immersion worthwhile. Moving forward, we envision transforming such endeavours into income-generating activities while maintaining their essence of spreading joy and community spirit

As the Table year has come to an end, the Welkom 40 Tablers and their spouses attended the annual Free State AGM and Induction dinner. It was the occasion where Jurgen Schoeman ended his term as the Free State Area Chairman, Robby du Plessis ended his second term as the Free State Area PRO, Gerhard Botha ended his terms as the Free State Area Treasurer, and where Hennie Breytenbach finished his second term as the Chairman of Welkom 40
Everyone had an immense amount of fun, as Eddie Breytenbach was appointed as Sergeant He stood back for no man – not even the RTSA President, Louis Radley.
The induction dinner was a beautiful evening and the Tablers and their spouses built fellowship until far into the beautiful Bloemfontein evening.
Welkom 40 would like to thank the Free State Area for the event and congratulate the council on their year. We would also like to wish Reinhardt Hedder and his Council all the best for the year to come Welkom 40 will once again have 3 members on the Council, along with our Chairman, Rudolf Helm The other council members will be Hennie Breytenbach (Stores), Eddie Brytenbach (States Magazine), and Jurgen Schoeman (IPAC) A Tabler
Amari School was established in 1948 by a small group of parents who needed education, care and treatment for their children with cerebral palsy.
Today, the school caters for learners with a wide variety of special educational needs Some of the disabilities and difficulties that are catered for are: cerebral palsy, disability and difficulties caused by head injuries, learning difficulties ranging from mild to severe, attention deficit disorder (ADD) and epilepsy The school motto is Arise – Amari School Website
Round Table Welkom 40 has a long and involved relationship with Amari and it is a non-negotiable date in our calendar to support and help with their Melodrama. This year was no different and Melodramari (As is has become known) was held over 9 and 10 May 2024. The show was presented in the iconic Ferdie Meyer Hall in Welkom.
Jurgen Schoeman from Welkom 40 had the opportunity to visit Reunion Island as part of the Free State Area’s twinning agreement and to attend the Isle de la Reunion AGM that was held in St Denis. With the nature of the flights, and the fact that ARTSA was the weekend before, Jurgen could only afford 2 days on the idyllic Island of Reunion
Jurgen arrived full of fire and full of expectation on the Saturday morning in St Denis The Reunion IRO, Vincent Payet, was there to pick him up and host him for the night What Jurgen did not know is that Vincent Payet is a professional rally car driver and navigator It was a wild ride through the narrow roads of the island with Jurgen contemplating his last will and testament – convinced that he will not survive the drive!
The Reunion Tablers received him with open arms at the AGM Jurgen handed over gifts of brandy and flags to the Reunion Tablers as part of the twinning agreement. The AGM was held in conjunction with the 41ers AGM at the same venue. Both AGMs concluded with an amazing lunch on the veranda.
The Reunion Tablers then took him to the beach at St Gilles which is an amazingly beautiful place. The night concluded with a dinner at a local restaurant and some proper fellowship being built – until 4am in the morning!
Sunday arrived with a few headaches and lots of laughter Jordan Payet, Mathieu Henriette, Yannick Vidot took Jurgen of a tour of the entire island They swam in the rivers, had an amazing lunch, and saw all the major tourist attractions Chief amongst these was the lava flows from Piton de Fournaise – the active volcano on the island that last erupted in 2007
Friendships were built and we as Welkom 40 look forward to hosting the Reunion boys again in 2025 for the Free State AGM. A Tabler.
The Round Table Welkom 40 men showed up and ran the bar at the event for both nights We managed to raise a very decent amount of money We also assisted Amari School with the Encores Our own Stephan Theunissen, alongside Welkom 40 14er, Sidny Wigget managed the Encore process as MCs from the stage.
Amari School does wonderful work in the Goldfields Community, and it gives a haven of hope for learners that cannot function in the mainstream educational system.
Welkom 40 is very proud of our association with Amari School, and we wish them the very best for the future We will always keep supporting the work that they do and the shining light that they are in our community
Jurgen Schoeman
It was finally that time of the year, the time for Round Table Gauteng Area’s AGM and Induction dinner. For those of you knew to this, it’s the time of the year when the schoolteacher checks your homework and then either gives you a sweet or a spoon over the hand
In all seriousness, it was a very good AGM for RTGA which was run very smoothly by Sir Dan Lambie It was also very smooth due to Chev the area Sec at the time and a very good Sergeant during the meeting which took absolutely no nonsense
We sadly had to close 3 RTGA tables but I believe we are stronger and closer for it in the end of the day On the upside, my table at least got to win the Raiding Trophy again This is one specific trophy that my table Northridge 117 seems to win most years We’re a bunch that just loves to travel and raid.
The venue for the AGM and Induction was Gold Reef City this time round, very fancy. If you had a goose that you wanted to bring to Induction dinner who wanted to show off her feathers, this was the place and event to do it.

There certainly many showing off their feathers at this event and they all looked amazing The gents were not far behind in their suits, everyone was dressed and pressed There was no lack of activities to do at this venue between the AGM and Induction dinner Fellowship was running high, and gents got to hang out a bit and reflect over the past year over a couple of cold ones During the actual Induction dinner itself, the food was good and plenty to choose from A couple of good heart felt speeches were given by various people, mainly Dan with him being out-going Chairman It was a very proud moment indeed when he started going through the stats of the year of what was achieved. Awards were handed out during the Induction dinner. Awards won were “Tabler of the Year” which was won by Graham Cornelissen, “Table of the Year” which was won by Golden East 181, and “Project of the year” which was won by my very own table Northridge 117. I have full confidence that Cuan Maizey the new incoming Chairman for RTGA 2024/5 will do great and I wish him and his Exec well for the year ahead. Wynand Warren

In a whirlwind of camaraderie and renovation prowess, Round Table Middelburg 126 recently hosted an unforgettable social event that left a lasting mark on both the clubhouse and the hearts of its members.

The date is 2nd of April and our first guest has arrived. The anticipation for the rest to arrive was high Sweden, England, Germany and the Netherlands joined us on Friday morning for a nice plankie braai at my place With some final arrangements to made the drinks, food with fellowship started
The opening party had arrived and all our brothers and sisters are here This made for one hell of a welcoming party. With some welcome drinks and goody bags handed to all. The hugs, the stories and jokes have started.
With everyone having some fun we needed to get things on the go. The food was ready! A proper spit braai was the go to for this evening. With the food being out of this world
With our stomach’s full and everyone still wanted to party it was over to the Tables to do our annual cabaret
All the countries brought this year with a few questions to be answered later The Pretoria gents led the way by opening We had some special guests attending the evening to show everyone how it’s done. The one and only Mime Band. With their misheard lyrics the crowd went wild.
Saturday was a bit of a hangover as we set off to the Voortreker Museum for a culture tour while the 41ners and some Pretoria Tablers set off to attend to the decorations and set up for the black tie evening
The Voortreker Tour was done and it was off to Angles Hotel where we showed them only on project close to our hearts The tears were running and some hearts were touched With some quick thinking between the Tabels it came down to a fine session every day with all the proceeds going to Angels Hotel to assist them in their needs Vellies was next with some hangry Tablers trying to be patient while waiting for their food. Luckily we had brandy that kept on coming.
18:00 and it was time for our beach outdoor black tie with our area chairman and vice chairman joining us as special guest. Stiaan Maazs was there with his wife but not as a special guest but as a true 136 Tabler. With bonds made with our previous tour in SA he had made such a close bond with our family With Christo Bezuidenhoud leading the why as MC the Chairman’s gifts were exchanged and all speeches and Table feedback were done It was truly a beautiful evening even though it was raining a bit but what made it special was that our 41ners where there to support, help, advise us and there to enjoy the fellowship of brotherhood and family.
Sunday and the bus was at the clubhouse ready to embark on our post tour “The Champions Tour”, but first it was off for breakfast at FUD. A nice casual SA breakfast was made for everyone With some beers and coffee
11:00 and everyone was in the bus to start our tour. Destination Harties Cablecars Some nerves gents as we went up to the to enjoy some pizza, drinks and a view from above Lots of photos were taken a specially selfies With stomachs even more full we set off to our first place of occupation Sparkling Water Resort More drinks laughter followed after everyone checked into their rooms A mixed grill was made for dinner as we partied the whole night through together.
Well Martin Lindsey asked the gents to please call it a night as it was only 03:00 in the morning and he needed some beauty sleep.
Monday came and some quick thinking and planning was made with the rain coming down This threw us off plan but with a Table like we got it was all under control
With arrangements made and the Magalies Canopy Tour moved to the next day we went off to Blackhorse Brewery for some lunch, gin and beer tasting followed up with some more fellowship and drinking at the resort. Dinner was prepared for us there.
Tuesday and after breakfast we set out for an unforgettable walk with elephants with photos and yes a lot of freaking photos taken. Tablers were allowed to touch them and learn so much that they did not even know about our gentle giants
The Magallies canopy tour followed and again we had some nerves tablers, but if you know us we made it work and some fears were met with laughter as we set out in the valley gliding through the air and enjoying nature to the fullest.
With the day almost finished we set off to our second resort and it was none other than The Kingdom where they were met with proper SA food made by our own Tablers The food menu, lamb pot and chicken pot
Wednesday and it was a bit of a rough one as our newbies broke our visitors the previous night with fellowship and a very late evening/morning like all the previous nights. Homemade breakfast was done and everyone was feeling the fresh air in their hair as we set off early for a for a famous Pilansberg game drive. Lunch was again made by our own gents and the rest of the day was spent at the pools and super tubes with the evening a proper mix grill was made Yes it was freaking proper!
With a late night singing around the bonfire it was again the newbies making fun of our brothers with probably the best prank ever Etienne, Leonard Henne and Luckas form Sweden were asked to please fetch the two young Dutch Tablers clothes from the reception as it was done at the dry cleaners So what did they do. They messaged them with a photo saying they needed to come and fetch their clothes at the bonfire and have a drink with them as they cannot be sleeping yet. If not they will burn the hostages/clothes one for one by the hour. The Duch responded with screw the hostages and went on
The reply after some very smart thinking not to burn their clothes it was on Etienne to take off his underwear and make a video of it and throwing it into the fire. Making the Duch believe it was indeed their clothes. A few minutes later the Pretoria gents were on their way to burn Luckas socks as they see the Duchess running in to collect their clothes and have a proper nightcap
Thursday and by now this kids were so mad at us for misleading them the whole week on what we were going to do and where we were going We set off to the one and only place they wanted to see and experience Sun City and the Valley of the Waves
Everyone went crazy as they ran for the slides with the kids not even seen for the whole day. Shopping was done, lunch was done and very close to all the alcohol in Sun City was done. Just joking the alcohol was too bloody expensive, but we gave it a go.
It was off to dinner but as usual we had to wait and then had to pick up some gents on our way as they all had to just quickly make a run at the casino The venue The Shebeen Bonfires were yet the highlight of the evenings as everyone sat around before and after eating for good fellowship
There however was one thing left to do. The whole week we made the chairman’s believe they would be signing a indemnity form as they were going to be riding on the back of a lion. Yes the forms were given and signed by them.
Hennie Steyn went on his hands and knees and became the lion
Friday morning and we were on our wat home with one last stop at the clubhouse for lunch and our Sargent’s fines With shot handed out it was a very emotional day as we collected a lot of money for Angels hotel just showing how strong and close our 136 Tables are. We all had to say goodbye to our friends and this is never easy. With a last sip of brandy and some tears we greaten them.
In a nutshell.
Round Table 136 can only be summed up as FAMILY, FRIENDS, BROTHERS & SISTERS! We are stronger together and support each other through thick and thin no matter the circumstances
Thank you to my Brother/Table at Pretoria 136 for pulling off probably the best Numbers Tour to date This could not have been done without each and every one of you. This was truly teamwork at its best.
Tiaan Schoeman
Preparing for a numbers tour, where you are expecting to host 20 international is no daunting task, and it takes a committed table to pull thus off.
As the day started, we sped out of Pretoria at 06:00 to pick up our new friends for the week, it is an interesting feeling meeting these people for the first time, you know that your motives for joining the round table is not always the same, but you can feel that your drive towards fostering the culture within table is very much connected
For me as a first-time visitor to a 136 numbers tour, I was a bit hesitant to what I should expect. Who are these travelers that can pack up for 10 days and leave Europe and have the trust in the culture of round table to visit a foreign country with a group of “strangers”. My expectation was quickly shoved aside as everybody was met as old friend, questions started to be exchanged about family members that could not join, friends that where left behind and stories about previous tours were quickly exchanged At that moment I realized, these are not strangers, these are brothers separated by thousands of kilometer and time zones
Our travelers where tired as they entered South Africa, but we quickly sorted them with a proper South African welcome, a braai at Tiaan’s house, with some impressive sirloin steaks, biltong & droewors to snack on and a much needed Brandy & Coke to calm the nerves, this all happened at 10 o clock in the morning.
Our Friday evening, we had our African rave party at our community center, and that’s where the weekend officially kicked off, we had a community from 5 countries, 5 different languages and each and every person doing their utmost best to find out more about everyone there, treated to some unbelievable laughs with the plays that each country has scripted for the group.
The Saturday we had a jam packed day with a visit to the Voortrekker Monument & Angels Hotel (one of Pretoria 136’s special projects).
We could see the mood change very quickly as we left Angels Hotel and the international travelers start to ask what more could be done for the facilities, we explained to them the enormous need that South Africa has for charity and that we certainly don’t have a shortage of people & organizations that needs assistance, and that there is only so much that and individual table can do
That evening at our Black-tie Gala event, as the Chairmans of each visiting table was addressing the group, I started to realize the bond that this fellowship has. Nuneaton 136 pledged a 1000 pounds towards Angels Hotel, and that got the ball rolling, every table has already had their internal talks about what they can do to help this organization, and from there on forward each last Rand, Pound or Euro that could be collected during this numbers tour will be going for the Angels Hotel A more amazing bond cannot be found in any other organization
The evening was not cut short by the rain we experienced we quickly got together under the roof and had a full on sing a long to Sweet Caroline, not once but 3 or 4 times, as every time we finished somebody joined and we started again (today that song has a special place in my heart).
And then the actual tour started. And for me, this is where the magic started to happen, late evenings brought out deep heartfelt conversations with people you would never of met in your life was it not for this unbelievable organization, long conversations about rugby always jumps out when you leave a couple of South Africans and Brits next to a fire, luckily the world cup is over and we know who is the best
The conscious decision that these international traveler’s make when visiting us, to embrace our culture and experience what we experience is just amazing, they immediately know that we are a culture driven on red meat, and mostly 3 times a day, they did not back down from that and endured our ways with a laugh a smile and always a quick glance over to the other side for some veggies.
I could go on for endless pages to describe what I felt in that week, but there are some standouts to my week that cannot go unsaid, the way that this brotherhood opens you up to other peoples struggles on the other side of the world makes you love them, and brings you to understand, we are all human and a sense we all have the same hardships
Humor crosses cultural & language lines, smiling and telling a joke to have everyone laugh brings joy to everyone out there, the internal banter between old friends can always be seen in these groups, and sets the tone going forward
And lastly the carrying nature that grows within this group of people, I left to visit my wife for our wedding anniversary, and there was not one person who did not wish me a blessed future with my wife, and that makes this special.
And then lastly. The one thing I am new to and did not really understand until that week. Then pins. Today I can turn around and say, that is where the fellowship starts, that pin comes with a story, take time to listen to each, and every story surrounding the pin, and take that story home with you
For me looking back at this time, I can only look forward next year! Reuniting with the brothers I have met, and building on the relationship we have, but also building new ones with new friends!

On the 2nd of February 2024, Matlosane 45 embarked on an unforgettable journey to the annual Sabie Tube Race. Comprising myself, Henro Louw, MC Smith, Jan-Albert de Kock and his girlfriend, Etienne du Plessis, our group was geared up for an exhilarating weekend of tubing, partying, and making memories.
Arriving late Friday afternoon just past 7 pm, we wasted no time in setting up camp to ensure we didn’t miss out on the weekend's opening festivities Friday night blurred into a series of unforgettable moments, although some details might be a bit hazy in retrospect, as tends to happen on such occasions
Saturday dawned, and the excitement was palpable as we readied our tubes, the "gees" (spirit) running high among us The journey to the starting point of the adventurous tube race itself was an adrenaline rush, riding at the back of a flatbed truck without railings, balancing precariously to avoid tumbling off. The start of the race was already a thrill.
Upon reaching the river's starting point, the atmosphere was electric, with music pumping and the party in full swing. As we plunged into the chilly waters, the reality of the wild ride ahead set in. The river was unforgiving, the currents swift, and the rocks imposing.
Despite the challenges, the experience was nothing short of exhilarating MC especially bore the marks of the adventure, emerging with a few more bumps and scrapes than the rest of us The tube race not only provided a thrilling adventure but also served as a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature amidst the company of our closest friends, all while enjoying the pulsating party vibes that surrounded us
Returning to our camp, we took a moment to recuperate before diving headfirst into the evening's festivities The night was alive with energy, as throngs of people gathered, and renowned artists took to the stage.
We also took it upon ourselves to spread the word about ARTSA 2025, ensuring that everyone who attended the tube race left knowing who Matlosane 45 was and what ARTSA 2025 stood for. Even "Groot Hond" Van Pletzen himself became acquainted with our group after Henro struck up a friendship with him.
In retrospect, the weekend was a whirlwind of excitement, laughter, and camaraderie I couldn't have asked for a better group of friends to share this adventure with Here's to many more unforgettable moments in the future Thanks, guys
Me and my friend was looking for a group of people to share a hobby with. What we found was a family that was committed in making a difference in people less fortunate. Round table has opened our eyes to how a person can make a difference in other people lives while making new friends I hope to add to the round table community whether it is local national or international I look forward to starting a new chapter in my life tighter with my round table brothers and their families 136 Proud
After weeks of planning and finalizing all the details it was finally time for the Northridge 117 AGM, Bosberaad and induction dinner. This was my first year in which I attended and I am proud to report on the amazing experience.
The meetings were held at La Moor Country Venue and Eatery. We started the day off by doing an early AGM that went smooth as the Northridge table likes to get stuff done. I was amazed to find out that we have had 33 successful projects and distributed more than R110 000 After the AGM we took a small break and changed from our formal wear to our more comfortable casual wear
Things were off to a great start at our Bosberaad meeting The chairs were more comfortable, and the overall tone was more lighthearted We listened to our incoming chairman’s plans for the year and what we should expect The part that stood out to me was that we should set a date and work backwards The rest of the execs also had their turns to tell us what to expect and how we should table The last topic was the projects that we plan to run this year. We decided that we plan to reduce the number of projects but increase the size of the projects. It was a well-run meeting.
There was no lack of activities to do at this venue between the Bosberaad and Induction dinner. Fellowship was running high and gents got to hang out a bit and reflect back over the past year over a couple of cold ones.
During the actual Induction dinner itself, the food was really good and plenty to choose from A couple of really good heart felt speeches were given by various people, mainly Tim with him being out-going Chairman It was a very proud moment indeed when he started going through the stats of the year of what was achieved
As the out-going chairman, Tim gave everyone present a small gift After everyone was done eating, most of us went outside to continue the conversations as well as take a smoke break The night came to an end for me as it got late and I took my wife home after a long day at La Moor.

10 February 2024, saw a new dawn in leadership for Bloem 25. Ryno Sleigh was officially inducted as the new Chairman of Bloem 25. He is well known for being a man of few words, but Ryno has decided to take up the responsibility and round out his final year of table by wearing the gong.
Ryno is the 71st chairman of Bloem 25 and will be at the Head of the table during the 70-year anniversary celebrations.
A lovely dinner at Bella Casa Restaurant in Bloemfontein seemed the perfect place for Ryno and his council to take up the reins and make their mark on the rich history of Bloem 25 However, the evening was not just about them as there were a few awards presented on the evening as well:
Tabler of the Year – Jacques Vermaak
Attendance of the Year – Ferando van Heerden
Stirrer – Lihann Kriek
Night Owl – Andrew Mc Neill
Fellowship of the Year – Shared by Ryno Sleigh and Andrew Mc Neill
Congratulations to all of those who received awards, it is great to see the commitment showed towards the organisation but more so the commitment towards Bloem 25!
We were also honoured by the presence of the outgoing ARTSA President, Mr Louis Radley as well as Outgoing Area Chairman, Mr Jurgen Schoemann
As we are often reminded table is an upside-down organisation, Ryno will be the voice for his tablers and we look forward to seeing where this year will take us We would also like to congratulate his council:
Vice Chairman – Jacques Vermaak
Secretary – Andrew Mc Neill
Treasurer – Ferando van Heerden

To understand the true significance of the "Bosveld Tabler of the Year" award, one must delve into the essence of what it means to be a tabler. At its core, being a tabler transcends mere participation, it embodies a spirit of selflessness, camaraderie, and a relentless pursuit of collective betterment. Tablers are individuals who recognize that true fulfillment lies not in personal gain, but in the act of giving back to the community that has nurtured them
When one is bestowed with the honor of being named the " Bosveld Tabler of the Year" it is not merely a recognition of individual achievement, but a celebration of the collective spirit that binds brothers together It is a testament to the countless hours spent in service, the unwavering dedication to causes larger than oneself, and the indomitable spirit that refuses to falter in the face of adversity.
To be named the "Bosveld Tabler of the Year" is to stand on the shoulders of giants - those who have come before, paving the way with their tireless efforts and unwavering commitment. It is a humbling experience, a reminder that greatness is not achieved in isolation, but through the collective strength of a community united in purpose.
Moreover, the "Bosveld Tabler of the Year" award is not just a momentary recognition, but a beacon of inspiration for others to follow It serves as a reminder that greatness is within reach of all those who dare to dream, who dare to strive for something greater than themselves. In honoring one individual, it uplifts the entire table, reaffirming the belief that each person has the power to make a difference, no matter how small their contribution may seem.
At the end of the day, the award is merely a symbol of what a table of brothers can achieve together, yes you get days where you can’t anymore, where everything feels it’s too much and you are alone, then you realize once you made that phone call you as brothers united can achieve greatness I want to raise my glass to my fellow tablers for this award is not for me it is for you, the brothers I love, respect, and care for
P S I want to thank my beautiful Wife for supporting me during my journey where I strive to be a better man for her each day, this award would not be possible if it was not for her support, drive, and love for me and Table Wian Vogel

On Thursday 23 May 2024, Round Table Kloof190 raided Ballito221 with a total of 13 guys (7 members, 1 honorary member, 2 pipeliners and 2 guests) in one of the biggest raids in recent years
Being joined by Westville189, Durban2 and PMB12, it's safe to say the Ballito221 clubhouse was cleaned out of raidable items!
The gees was strong kicking off with a quick Kloof190 social meeting, which in truth was more of a makeshift gathering of bantering tablers under the trees
Filling in for his chair, and staring down his first chaired meeting, Ballito221's VC got off to a late start.
R T 1 3 6 W E L C O M E S N E W M E M B E R
Despite his obvious trial by fire, this earned him a red, skull-bottled chilly concoction of a straff but who could blame him having to round up so many excited tablers.
Despite the packed mass of men in front of him and not having decorum on account of some travelling members, it was a great meeting with much banter, and laughs all round
To top it all off, 6 new Buffalo members were inducted, but we won't talk about that spikey experience
Then it was off to the braai for some more gees and great food, matched only by the good conversation and new friendships made.
In March of 2023, my introduction to Pretoria Round Table 136 proved to be a captivating experience. Within the first 20 minutes of the business meeting, I was deeply impressed by the immense pride, determination, and passion exhibited by the individuals present. Their commitment towards one another, personal growth, and making a positive impact on lives was palpable
As we discussed our projects, past, present, and future, it became evident that involvement with the Round Table is more than just a commitment; it becomes an integral part of your life It challenges you to step out of your comfort zone and strive towards becoming a better individual
From that moment on, I embraced the standard set forth, dedicating myself to contributing to the growth of our community within the Round Table. What struck me most was the realization that I was never alone in this endeavour. There was always a supportive hand ready to assist, just a phone call away.
All in all, it was a great evening showcasing the growing Tabler Gees in KZN and the value of inter-area tabling at its best Well done and great effort guys! To gees and family!
During my inaugural year as a Pipeliner, I was swiftly integrated into various projects, including the R2 initiative, our quarterly Weskoppies dance, the annual wine auction, and a memorable visit to the STNOFS triweekend in Potch.
However, it was during a profound conversation around the fire at our Yearly family weekend that my perception of Round Table underwent a significant shift I came to understand that Round Table is not merely a young men's organization It is a community centred on fellowship, with charity serving as its driving force It is this commitment to one another that motivates us to leave a lasting legacy for future generations of Tablers
With my induction in February of 2023, I felt a sense of pride that I have to opportunity to create a lasting memory for so many people, this could never be achieved be it not for the brotherhood and the warm hearts around the table at Pretoria 136.

In a heart-warming initiative, Stutterheim Round Table 103 recently stepped up to support New Garden School, transforming the learning experience for young minds in Grade 1 By installing much-needed isolation materials in the classrooms' floors and ceilings, the local Round Table aimed to address a critical issue: extreme temperatures hindering effective learning
Before this intervention, New Garden School's Grade 1 classrooms lacked proper insulation. Consequently, students grappled with discomfort on scorching hot days and bitter cold ones, making it challenging to focus on their studies. Recognizing this obstacle to learning, Stutterheim Round Table 103 took action.
With the installation of insulation, the hope is to create a more conducive environment for learning year-round By regulating temperatures, the newly insulated classrooms are expected to stay cool in the blistering summer heat and cosy during the chilly winter months This initiative embodies the Round Table's commitment to supporting local education and ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive in a comfortable and nurturing learning environment
Round Table Jeffreysbay/Humansdorp 252 extends heartfelt gratitude to our incredible community for their overwhelming support during our annual Easter egg charity collection!
Thanks to your generosity, between our stalls at Fountains Mall and Equinox Mall, we've gathered over 2800 Easter eggs!
These sweet treats will be distributed among homes for the elderly and children's homes, spreading joy and brightening up Easter for those in need. Every single donation has made a difference, and we're deeply thankful for your kindness and compassion Together, we're making our community a warmer and happier place

Through their efforts, Stutterheim Round Table 103 not only improves the physical conditions of the classrooms but also invests in the well-being and educational success of the students at New Garden School This collaborative endeavour serves as a testament to the positive impact community organizations can have when they come together to support education and empower future generations.
In the heart of Round Table Southern Africa (RTSA), there exists a bond that transcends geographical boundaries a bond that keeps the spirit of camaraderie alive no matter where life's journey may lead This bond was beautifully exemplified during a heartwarming surprise visit orchestrated by the STNOFS council to one of their own, Cuan Maize, at the Gauteng AGM
Cuan Maize, a former member of STNOFS hailing from Rustenburg, found himself embraced by the warm embrace of his STNOFS family once again, as the council made a surprise appearance at the Gauteng AGM. Despite his transfer to the Gauteng region, the spirit of STNOFS continued to flow through Cuan's veins a testament to the enduring bond fostered within the RTSA community.
As Cuan was announced as the Gauteng Area Chairman for the 2024-2025 term, the STNOFS council seized the opportunity to reaffirm their support and camaraderie. With smiles, cheers, and heartfelt embraces, they welcomed Cuan into his new role, knowing that no matter the distance, the spirit of STNOFS would always be with him
For Cuan, the surprise visit was not just a gesture of support it was a reaffirmation of the enduring bonds forged within the RTSA community It served as a reminder that no matter where life's journey may take him, his STNOFS family would always be there, cheering him on every step of the way
The heartwarming surprise visit to Cuan Maize at the Gauteng AGM encapsulated the true essence of Round Table Southern Africa a community bound by friendship, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to making a difference
As Cuan embarks on his journey as the Gauteng Area Chairman, he does so with the unwavering support and love of his STNOFS family behind him, knowing that no matter where life may lead, he will always have a home within the RTSA community.

What an honor it was to attend my first Sabi Tube Race, In the breathtaking landscapes of our country lies a cherished tradition that embodies the essence of camaraderie and adventure – the Sabi Tube Race
The Sabi Tube Race is not merely a music festival, it's an exhilarating journey down the Sabi River, where you navigate the rapids and currents with skill, determination, and a healthy dose of humor. Or let’s just be honest and say we tried to keep afloat on the tubes with shallow waters and getting stuck every 5 meters(Well not everyone just me). Filling up our water bottles with a mixture of brandy and coke we were ready for the adventures ahead.
As we paddled downstream, laughter echoed across the riverbanks, weaving a tapestry of joy and camaraderie Amidst the splashes and shouts, friendships are forged, and memories are made in the sheer joy of shared experiences Whether it's navigating treacherous rapids, cheering on fellow competitors, or simply floating along with the current, every moment becomes a testament to the power of friendship and fellowship
At its core, the Sabi Tube Race is a celebration of fellowship and friendship - a time for Round Table members to come together, leave their cares behind, and embrace the simple joys of friendship and laughter. Amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life, this annual tradition serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of connection, community, and shared moments of happiness.
As the sun sets on another unforgettable Sabi Tube Race, we are reminded of the timeless bonds that unite us as Round Table. Through friendship, laughter, and fellowship, we have navigated the rapids of life's journey together, emerging stronger, closer, and more connected than ever before
As we bid farewell to another year of adventure and camaraderie, we look forward to the next chapter of our shared story, knowing that the spirit of the Sabi Tube Race will continue to inspire and uplift us for years to come
Wian Vogel Vice - Chairman RT136On the first of May,Irene Homes hosted their annual Fun Fete of which Pretoria 19 has been an integral part for the past 20 years.
The day was filled with Food, stalls of all sorts and live entertainment which even included performances of the ladies from Irene Homes themselves.
People from far and wide attended the day and it was a most joyous occasion.
In following tradition Pretoria 19 was given the task of manning the Beer garden to ensure that all the patrons had something to quench their thirst on request
The Gentlemen and Ladies from Pretoria 19 made sure that all the Beers and Slet Sappies were cold and ready for distribution by 10:00 when the law decided that we could start trading
As always thing started of slowly but we found our groove quickly and this continued well into the later parts of the afternoon
By 16:00 pm things came to an end and we are happy and proud to announce that we were able to raise in upwards of R23,000.00 on their behalf for which we thank every person that supported us on the day.
The biggest achievement for the day which goes far beyond the funds that were raised are the smiles that we were able to put on the faces of the ladies that live and work at Irene Homes by just saying hello, spending time with them and giving them a few minutes of our day to hear what they have to say
I will never forget the feeling I had on the day when one of the ladies that lives on the premises came to me personally and said thank you from the bottom of her heart and that she loves each and every one of us from Pretoria 19.
This put things into perspective for me and it reminded me once again of why I decided to join this organization.
We at Pretoria 19 are proud to have been part of this awesome project and we cannot wait until next year to do it again.

With your incredible support, we made our first dropoff at Immergroen in Witbank, spreading joy and love to the elderly in our community. Each package was thoughtfully packed with essentials tailored to their needs, along with a few treats to lift their spirits.
But that's not all! With the overwhelming response and excess sponsorships received, we are excited to announce that we'll be making an extra drop-off to the Assisted Elderly Care Home in Middelburg. This project has truly warmed our hearts and inspired us to consider doing it again in the future
Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported this wonderful initiative Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of others Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to spread kindness and compassion in our community!
The Pretoria Fees Music Festival is a renowned annual cultural event, that provided an ideal platform for the Charity Hotdog Project organised by Round Table 136, Round Table 87, and Ladies Circle 36 The project aimed to harness the festive atmosphere of the music festival to raise funds for charitable causes while fostering a sense of community engagement among participants
For the first time in a while, tablers and circlers found themselves immersed in a project that tested not only their skills but also their determination and passion for making a difference Setting up booths amidst the bustling festival grounds, with colorful banners and the enticing scent of freshly cooked boerie rolls, this was just the beginning of an unforgettable experience.
The project was about more than just selling hot dogs, it was about fostering a sense of community, camaraderie, and compassion. Tablers and circlers came together, donning aprons and smiles, ready to serve up not just food, but also kindness and generosity to those in need.
Despite facing challenges such as unpredictable weather and large crowds, the spirit of teamwork prevailed Tablers and circlers worked tirelessly, ensuring that every customer left with a satisfied stomach and a warm heart But the impact extended far beyond the festival grounds; it reached into the hearts of those benefiting from the funds raised
Through the simple act of selling hot dogs, the Charity Hotdog Project made a tangible difference in the lives of others. The funds raised supported Helpnet, a nonprofit organization that takes in abused children from the ages of 6 months to 18 years old. It's a testament to the power of collective action and the profound impact that small acts of kindness can have on the world around us.
As the music faded and the festival came to a close, the memories of laughter, friendship, and service lingered on The Charity Hotdog Project served as a reminder that amidst the chaos of life, there is always room for compassion and generosity And while the festival may be over, the spirit of giving lives on
Fundraising Success: The charity hotdog project surpassed expectations in terms of fundraising Through the sale of hotdogs, we managed to raise R24 511 00 for our Aims and objectives and managed to donate R23 000.00 To HelpNet.
The Charity Hotdog Project at the music festival was a resounding success, thanks to the dedication of our team, the generosity of volunteers, and the support of festival attendees.
Despite encountering challenges along the way, we achieved our fundraising goals and made a meaningful contribution to the community.

With the support of European visitors, they planned to distribute these groceries to the children on a Saturday, allowing the visitors to directly witness the impact of their contribution The children greeted them with joy and gratitude, appreciative of the assistance provided and the time spent to help them
The European traveller’s, upon witnessing the scene at Angels Hotel, likely experienced a profound mix of emotions. As they interacted with the children, their hearts might have been touched by the resilience and spirit of these young individuals facing various disabilities. They could have felt a sense of empathy, realizing the challenges these children encounter on a daily basis, yet observing their unbridled joy and gratitude in the face of adversity
Being able to directly contribute to the well-being of these children would have evoked feelings of fulfilment and purpose within the traveller’s
Seeing the impact of their generosity first-hand, they may have felt a deep sense of connection to the community they were helping, forging bonds that transcended language and cultural barriers
Witnessing the children's reactions smiles lighting up their faces, expressions of gratitude in their eyes would have left a lasting impression on the traveller’s They might have been moved to tears by the purity of the children's appreciation and the knowledge that their actions had made a tangible difference in their lives.
Overall, the experience likely stirred a sense of humility, gratitude, and compassion within the European traveller’s, reminding them of the power of kindness and the universal language of love

Our upcoming projects are scheduled, and planning is well underway:
We kick off the year with the jag raffle, aiming to double its success and reach R100k.
Planning for KOSH Kids has already commenced, and we're eager to make it bigger and better for the children.
Quiz night promises to be even grander this year, albeit with the task of finding a new venue, as Melcolm may have irked the previous venue's auntie, warranting a penalty. This year, we intend to show more support for projects hosted by other tables and perhaps even glean some inspiration.
Positives of our table include everyone's involvement in projects and our thriving social events Sometimes, we socialize a little too well, much to the chagrin of our spouses
Camaraderie is strong within our table, with monthly socials hosted at members' homes, where we enjoy each other's company We're even adding a new element to our socials with 9mm pistols
As for negatives, there are none to speak of We stand united when necessary, and any grievances are hashed out during our occasional table talks, where no one holds back.
In summary, Matlosane 45 continues to flourish, driven by a dedicated membership and a commitment to community service. We look forward to another year of impactful projects and camaraderie.

As this was my first conference at Round Table, I was excited and nervous to see how it would all go down I can safely say that it went above and beyond all expectations
The first night was full of gees and I made memories that will stick for my lifetime I do wish that we had a bit of an event to break the ice between the tables, like a competition between the tables or any sort of icebreaker, as I didn't get the opportunity to meet some tablets as some people kept to their own tables, but that is also very natural and can't be forced
I was taken back by the amount of support and brotherhood there is between the different tables, and I felt very welcomed, and I really enjoyed that even though the likes of Kevin, who was Area Vice Chairman, took time to come chat with me, and although he is far superior in terms of rank in the table, he was able to come down to my level and chat with me, which made me feel very comfortable.
Meeting:
The meeting was amazing The blend between formality and fun was there in abundance, and I loved the race that everyone had, to second any motion to be mentioned in the minutes The sergeant was a fascinating role for me
I had heard a few horror stories, and he lived up to the expectations I think the meeting was run very well, and I tip my hat to Shane as Chair I do think that the peanut gallery needed to be a bit more spaced out, as I did struggle to see someone sitting right in front of me, but that is a very minor aspect
I thought the axing was a privilege for me to witness. I really appreciated the warm welcome when accepting my pipelinership, and I felt overjoyed and honored to receive my first pin.
Dinner:
The dinner was amazing. I do wish that the tables weren't so far away and were set up so you could chat with more people
I'm not sure if it was the drive the next morning or the headache from the night before, but I was hoping that after the dinner there would be a bit more of a party like the night before, but I didn't overly mind as some rest was required to be fair to everyone
I felt that getting dressed up was very well received by the tablets and their respective guests, as it was a lot of fun to pull out the suit and tie I do not have too many comments on the dinner; it was well received by most, from my perspective.
TO Strand:
TO Strand was a very nice accommodation, and it was very affordable. I do believe they were underprepared and understaffed for the event, but the rooms were very nice.
I think that the hall needs a bit of paint to cover the marks where they have been doing some work I am not sure if that is in progress, but it would be nice to see us maybe do some work there by helping if we are going to use them on a regular basis
Overview:
I had an amazing weekend and made a lot of memories I think the meeting was a success The prizegiving was awesome, and it was very nice to see my mentor, Matt Hayes, get elected as Area Vice Chair
I am very excited for the next conference and can't wait to see everyone again. I am also relieved that Duppie is no longer a sergeant.

JEFFREYS YES!
We hope this message finds you well and filled with the same sense of purpose and enthusiasm that drives us forward in our ongoing clothes drive project!
With winter on the horizon, we've taken the initiative to get ahead of the curve and make a meaningful impact in our community
Our goal is simple yet profound: to collect as many items of clothing as possible and distribute them to those who need it most
From the littlest ones in our local baby care homes to the wise elders in our elderly care facilities, we aim to provide warmth and comfort to all who are in need
Through our outreach efforts, we've come to realize that clothing donations, particularly in good condition, are often overlooked. Yet, they are a basic necessity that many individuals lack.
That's why we've made it our mission to prioritize quantity alongside quality. Every piece of clothing donated brings us one step closer to making a difference in someone's life.
We invite each and every one of you to join us in this meaningful endeavour If you have any gently used clothes lying around, consider donating them to our cause Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a world of difference to someone in need
Reach out to us on Facebook to learn more about how you can get involved and contribute to our clothes drive project Together, we can spread warmth, kindness, and compassion throughout our community.
Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to service. Let's continue to make a positive impact, one piece of clothing at a time!
What can I say, POTIES POTIES POTIES!! What an exciting weekend ahead, as we all jumped the Friday afternoon in our cars and headed to Potgietersrus for our annual Bosveld AGM
We met up with the rest of our tablers along the way, making some stops to have a drink or two to keep up with the tradition that we will only arrive at the AGM when the sun has decided that its time for him to head out for the evening
As we neared the town of Potgietersrus we set together a plan of action, getting to the hotel and dropping off our bags and make our way to the welcoming party that was held at the local golf club. As we arrived at the golf club we were greeted with a lot of familiar faces.
We made our rounds greeting everyone and sharing a laugh with a couple off drinks. After having some pizza that was set out for us by the hosting table the party started to pick up some speed with stories and photos and memories shared by our fellow tablers
The next morning we all woke up dropped the ladies off at the ladies tour and our gents made our way to the meeting that was held at the bowls club down the street
The sergeant made sure that the meeting took place in an orderly manner and that time was not wasted on topics that did not carry any wait
Bernard Venter out going Chairman and the rest of his council delivered their reports of the past year After the meeting we had a couple of boerewors rolls and made our way back to the hotel again to get ready for the formal dinner the evening
It was a proud moment for Pretoria 136 as we had a couple of surprises coming our way, our very own Wian Fluffy Vogel was given the award for the 136 tabler of the year and Bushveld Tabler of the Year, nothing could surprise him more than that, but that’s not all Chris Friendzone Merts was inducted as IRO/PRO of the Bushveld area as well, now that makes a Chairman and a Table very proud to know that we are represented on the big stage through one of our members.
We also said goodbye to our 41er that evening with a heartfelt speech given by Stefan and Rudi doing the reply, we all wiped away our tears and knew it’s not goodbye but see you later as we know a 41er cant stop giving advice even if we try to ask
The Sunday morning we all gathered together for a speedy breakfast before we got back on the road on our way to Pretoria It is always a pleasure and a honour to meet up with fellow brothers from table and sharing in the memories made What a weekend, like I said, POTIES POTIES POTIES!!!
Our monthly social was held at the Kirkwood Rolbal Klub. Hosted by Johann and Marlé Van Der Vyver.
On the day we had 5 teams of three competing for bragging rights. The teams included at least one of the children a proper family affair.
The social was great fun with Johann, Marlé and Phillip emerging the victors!
Families coming together form the foundation of our organisation Kirkwood is strong
Thank you Van Der Vyver’s for a lekker day out #roundtablesouthernafrica #roundtableseasternprovince #kirkwood78 Yours in table, Murray Middleton
Easter came with a special opportunity for us to join forces with Round Table Powerlines Witbank 239's Legs, and together, we embarked on a mission to spread joy and happiness throughout our community. What ensued was nothing short of magical!
Our collaborative effort resulted in not just one or two, but an incredible six drop-offs spanning from Middelburg to Ogies With hearts full of compassion and arms filled with Easter goodies, we visited four Children's Homes and two adult/elderly homes, touching the lives of both the young and the young at heart
The experience was a testament to the power of unity and the impact we can create when we come together for a common cause Each smile we encountered, and each gleeful laugh we heard, reinforced the importance of our mission and fuelled our passion to do more
We extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsors, whose unwavering support made this project possible. Your generosity has brought light to those in need and warmth to our hearts.
A special thank you goes out to the incredible ladies at Powerlines 239 for extending their invitation and welcoming us with open arms. Your camaraderie and dedication to service inspire us, and we are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such amazing partners.
As we reflect on the success of this project, we look forward to the future with optimism and enthusiasm Together, as Ladies Circle Witbank 26, we will continue to make a difference in the lives of others and spread kindness wherever we go
The Winterknights project has witnessed remarkable success at Round Table 252, highlighted by our recent barefoot bowls event held at the St. Francis Bowling Club.
The event exceeded all expectations, with a fully sold-out venue, showcasing the enthusiastic support of our community
Eagerly supported by the brave participants, generous cash donations poured in, reflecting the compassion and generosity of our supporters
Additionally, ticket sales soared, contributing significantly to our fundraising efforts
The funds raised will be dedicated to purchasing warm blankets and essential food supplies for individuals struggling during the winter season.
In addition to aiding those in need, our project extended its reach to local animal sanctuaries The outpouring of support resulted in substantial donations of animal food, ensuring that our furry friends are also cared for during the harsh winter months
Through collective efforts, we have made a meaningful difference in the lives of both humans and animals, driving #impactfulchange further and further
Our journey began in the historic city of Edinburgh on May 2nd As soon as we landed, we were drawn to the charm and allure of the Royal Mile, a succession of streets that form the main thoroughfare of the Old Town
The Royal Mile stretches from Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and it’s a treasure trove of history, architecture, and culture We strolled along its cobbled streets, exploring its nooks and crannies, and soaking up the atmosphere that makes Edinburgh such a unique place
The next day, we took a tour of the iconic Edinburgh Castle. Perched on Castle Rock, this ancient fortress has witnessed centuries of history. As we wandered through its halls and courtyards, we marvelled at the Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny, and enjoyed panoramic views of the city from the battlements.
Our next stop was the Winterfield Golf Course, a beautiful seaside course that offers stunning views and a challenging game Playing a round of golf here was a highlight of our trip, with the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the fresh sea breeze adding to the experience
Leaving Edinburgh behind, we embarked on a castle-hunting adventure along Scotland’s rugged coast. The country is dotted with castles, each with its own story and unique charm. From the ruins of Dirleton Castle to the picturesque Tantallon Castle, we immersed ourselves in Scotland’s rich history and breathtaking landscapes
Our travels then took us to the bustling city of London We explored the city using a variety of transportation methods, including the iconic hop-on-hop-off buses, bicycles, and even Ubber boats Our sightseeing included the majestic London Bridge, the historic Tower of London, and the aweinspiring Westminster Abbey. Each location offered a glimpse into the past and a deeper appreciation for London’s significance.
Of course, no visit to London would be complete without experiencing its vibrant pub culture. We made sure to stop at nearly every pub we passed, enjoying a pint and mingling with the locals. Each pub had its own unique character and history, adding to the overall charm especially the Round Table pub which was one of my bucket list table attractions
From London, we traveled to Winchester, home to the legendary Great Hall and the Round Table of King Arthur The Great Hall, part of Winchester Castle, houses arguably the greatest symbol of medieval mythology and inspiration to our emblem: King Arthur's Round Table With no head at the table, the iconic top personifies chivalry, service, equality, and shared importance an ideal fit for the world's greatest young men's organization
Stepping into the Great Hall was like stepping back in time The hall itself, with its medieval architecture and historical artifacts, exudes an air of grandeur and history. We spent hours exploring the hall, learning about the rich history of Winchester and the legends that surround King Arthur and his knights. The sense of stepping into a place where history and legend intertwine was truly inspiring.
Bournemouth: A Coastal Retreat
Our journey continued to Bournemouth, where we joined Duncan Morris and 11 other internationals Bournemouth offered a perfect mix of relaxation and excitement We drove to the mysterious Stonehenge, marvelling at the ancient stone circle and pondering the mysteries of its creation
A Pirate Party and AGM in Bournemouth
The highlight of our time in Bournemouth was the Friday night pirate party on Bournemouth Pier. It was a night of fun, laughter, and camaraderie, with everyone dressed in pirate attire and enjoying the festive atmosphere.
The following day, we attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Induction Dinner at the Pavilion
Our journey through Scotland and England was an unforgettable adventure, filled with historic sights, stunning landscapes, and memorable experiences From the ancient castles of Scotland to the vibrant streets of London, and from the historic sites of Winchester to the coastal charm of Bournemouth, all these experiences and friendships that was made were made possible by the outstanding organization of Round Table.
