Asaresult,Ihadtopackupmyentirelifewithin48hours.I hadtoadapttoanewworkplace,anewjob,andanew livingsituation Icurrentlyhavea2-hourcommutedaily Addingtothischangeofevents,mylifewasalreadyturned upsidedownbythenewsthatmystepfatherhadpassed away Ihadtosupportmymotherthroughthisprofound loss
Ialsowanttributetomystepfather,UncleNic,whowas thereformefromtheageof13.Heplayedanimpactfulrole inmyupbringingandoveralllife.
Thisiswheremybeautifulgirlfriendcameintoplay.Sheisa masterinediting,marketing,anddesign.Aboveall,sheis themostkindheartedandlovingpersonI’veevermet. Withouthesitation,sheofferedtotakeoverasIwasfaced withthisdifficultsituation.

Atthattime,Iwasanewcomerto RoundTableMatlosane45,havingonly beeninductedfortwomonths.Eager tomakeadifference,Iansweredthe callwithouthesitation.LittledidI know,thiswasthebeginningofa journeythatwouldtouchmanylives.
Withinjustaday,sixmorerequestsfor foodassistancecamein.Itwasthen thatIrealizedthepressingneedwithin ourcommunity.Manyweresilently suffering,unabletomeetthebasic necessityofhavingenoughfood.This revelationspurredtheinceptionofthe KosKasproject,amissiondedicatedto alleviatinghungerandproviding sustenancetothoseinneed.TheKos Kasinitiativequicklygarneredsupport fromafewgeneroussponsors, enablingustomaintainandreplenish ourfoodstocks.Theircontributions havebeeninvaluable,ensuringthatwe alwayshaveenoughresourcestoassist thosewhoreachoutforhelp With thissupport,wehavebeenabletokeep theshelvesstockedandreadytoserve

On June 15th, the Warm Fest in Rustenburg marked a day of compassion and community spirit Departing from Klerksdorp early that morning, attendees were welcomed by Martin Bester and his team, who set the mood with their soulful music. Throughout the day, we encountered numerous individuals with open hearts, each contributing blankets and canned food to support those less fortunate.
A particularly touching sight was the overwhelming presence of members from Matlosane 45, demonstrating their unwavering support for the cause. Their solidarity added to the event's warmth and sense of unity.
In the afternoon, amidst the charitable activities, rugby fans gathered to cheer for the Bulls, who emerged victorious The joyous atmosphere continued into the evening as participants packed up and reconvened at a local restaurant for refreshments and lively conversations.
The Warm Fest not only provided essential donations but also fostered connections and a shared commitment to making a difference. It was a day where generosity, music, sport, and community came together to create lasting memories and reaffirm the power of collective goodwill.

Scotland and England: A Journey Through Time
Edinburgh: A Step Back in Time
Our journey began in the historic city of Edinburgh on May 2nd. As soon as we landed, we were drawn to the charm and allure of the Royal Mile, a succession of streets that form the main thoroughfare of the Old Town The Royal Mile stretches from Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and it’s a treasure trove of history, architecture, and culture. We strolled along its cobbled streets, exploring its nooks and crannies, and soaking up the atmosphere that makes Edinburgh such a unique place.
The next day, we took a tour of the iconic Edinburgh Castle. Perched on Castle Rock, this ancient fortress has witnessed centuries of history As we wandered through its halls and courtyards, we marvelled at the Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny and enjoyed panoramic views of the city from the battlements.
A Golfer’s Paradise: Winterfield Golf Course
Our next stop was the Winterfield Golf Course, a beautiful seaside course that offers stunning views and a challenging game. Playing a round of golf here was a highlight of our trip, with the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the fresh sea breeze adding to the experience.
Castle Hunting Along Scotland’s Coast
Leaving Edinburgh behind, we embarked on a castlehunting adventure along Scotland’s rugged coast. The country is dotted with castles, each with its own story and unique charm From the ruins of Dirleton Castle to the picturesque Tantallon Castle, we immersed ourselves in Scotland’s rich history and breathtaking landscapes.
We strolled along its cobbled streets, exploring its nooks and crannies, and soaking up the atmosphere that makes Edinburgh such a unique place.
London: The Heart of England
Our travels then took us to the bustling city of London. We explored the city using a variety of transportation methods, including the iconic hop-on-hop-off buses, bicycles, and even Ubber boats. Our sightseeing included the majestic London Bridge, the historic Tower of London, and the awe-inspiring Westminster Abbey. Each location offered a glimpse into the past and a deeper appreciation of London’s significance
Of course, no visit to London would be complete without experiencing its vibrant pub culture. We made sure to stop at nearly every pub we passed, enjoying a pint and mingling with the locals. Each pub had its unique character and history, adding to the overall charm especially the Round Table pub which was one of my bucket list table attractions.

From London, we travelled to Winchester, home to the legendary Great Hall and the Round Table of King Arthur The Great Hall, part of Winchester Castle, houses arguably the greatest symbol of medieval mythology and inspiration for our emblem: King Arthur's Round Table. With no head at the table, the iconic top personifies chivalry, service, equality, and shared importance an ideal fit for the world's greatest young men ' s organization.
Stepping into the Great Hall was like stepping back in time The hall itself, with its medieval architecture and historical artefacts, exudes an air of grandeur and history. We spent hours exploring the hall, learning about the rich history of Winchester and the legends that surround King Arthur and his knights. The sense of stepping into a place where history and legend intertwine was truly inspiring.
Bournemouth: A Coastal Retreat
Our journey continued to Bournemouth, where we joined Duncan Morris and 11 other internationals. Bournemouth offered a perfect mix of relaxation and excitement. We drove to the mysterious Stonehenge, marvelling at the ancient stone circle and pondering the mysteries of its creation.
A Pirate Party and AGM in Bournemouth
The highlight of our time in Bournemouth was the Friday night pirate party on Bournemouth Pier. It was a night of fun, laughter, and camaraderie, with everyone dressed in pirate attire and enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Reflecting on a Memorable Journey
Our journey through Scotland and England was an unforgettable adventure, filled with historic sights, stunning landscapes, and memorable experiences. From the ancient castles of Scotland to the vibrant streets of London, and from the historic sites of Winchester to the coastal charm of Bournemouth, all these experiences and friendships that was made were made possible by the outstanding organization of Round Table.

Nextonourtourwasvisitingthearea ofKoldkrigsmuseetReganVest,a bunkerfacility,whichishidden60 metersbeneathalimestonehilland wasconstructedsecretlyinthe1960s. Wewalkedintotheforestandstood wherethebunkerwashiddenbeneath us,overlookingpineforeststhatmade usfeelquiteathome. Uptheroad, ThingbaekLimestoneMinesand MuseumRebildCentretwasournext destination.Hereweviewedlimestone sculptures,art,springs,andan exhibitionabouttheColdWar.We stoppedforlunchatamicrobrewery, SøgaardsBryghus,andthenvisitedthe infamousJomfruAneGade Itisa popularstreetknownforthe restaurantsandpubsliningbothsides ofthestreet,representingoneofthe longestcontinuousstretchesof restaurantsandbarsinDenmark.The eveningwasfinishedoffwithsailingon theMariagerFjord.Therewasabig discussiononwhetherwewouldraise athirdsail,togoevenfasterbutbefore adecisioncouldbemade,three Tablers,includingDevanwerethrown overboard.Nevertheless,thethirdsail wasn’traisedandwesailedhome.

�� From jacuzzi parties at AfriCamps to thrilling wild sightings in the Kruger, an Elephant sunrise, and a breathtaking boat trip on the Blyde, our tour was nothing short of spectacular Even the hallways of Middelburg Country Club Accommodation witnessed a party to remember, leaving our international guests as the last men standing and our local "oukies" knocked out cold. ��
Under the expert guidance of our beloved 41ers Herman Doi Geldnhuys, Willem Skhokho, and Frans, our members, pipelines, guests, and legs came together to make this tour a roaring success �� Their expertise, both on and off the road, ensured that every moment was filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable experiences. On the chilly evening of June 14th, the Klerksdorp Bowls Club was abuzz with activity, warmth, and camaraderie. The occasion was the Bowling for Blankets Roll Ball Night, an event organized by Round Table Matlosane 45 with a heartfelt mission: to gather blankets for those who cannot afford them during the harsh winter months
It was an embodiment of our commitment to the Winter Knights project, ensuring that everyone in our community has the warmth and comfort they deserve. Despite the biting cold, all ten members of Matlosane 45 showed up in their shorts, ready to work through the night Their attire was a symbolic gesture, a way to experience, even if just for a few hours, the discomfort that so many face without adequate warmth.
This empathy-driven approach set the tone for the evening, reminding us all of the importance of our cause. The atmosphere was electric with music playing on the greens, creating a lively and festive environment.
The enticing aroma of food being prepared by Holy Smokes Food Company and the comforting scent of Mugg and Bean coffee wafted through the air, adding to the evening’s charm. These delightful sensory experiences, coupled with the high spirits of the players and attendees, made for an unforgettable night.
Despite the biting cold, all ten members of Matlosane 45 showed up in their shorts, ready to work through the night.

Kinder- en Jeugsorgsentrum / Child & Youth Care Centre Fun Day - 2024. George Round Table 30 had the pleasure of being part of yet another Moreson Thanksgiving day.
The aim each year is to spread some joy, by hosting the children to a fun-filled day of activities, lunch and special treats. 3 Box cars, sweeties and treats to take home afterwards, sure did make for a very special day.
This year the theme leading up to the special day, was a Sock Drive. We are overjoyed to share that 1762 pairs of socks were donated on the day.

Our combined efforts saw volunteers from all walks of life come together, united by a shared commitment to preserving our natural environment. Armed with gloves, bags, and a passion for a cleaner coast, we tackled litter and debris, leaving our shores pristine. This initiative not only enhanced the beauty of our beaches but also fostered a sense of community and environmental stewardship Together, we made a tangible difference, celebrating World Environmental Day with action and impact.

RAFFLE PROJECT – RYNO KRUGER
One of our big yearly funds projects, THE HUNTING RAFFLE, is now its 4th consecutive year running with great success. The objective is to raise funds for specific causes, ranging from drought relief, old age homes, and medical needs, to our KOSH KIDS project.
We set ourselves a goal of 700 raffles this year and hope to reach this and keep on expanding this project's boundaries. We have managed to get 6 prizes in total, to give more a chance to participate. We have a project that says minimal effort maximum reward, and have found this very true, with the administration being the biggest task.
The funds raised in this year’s raffle have been earmarked for our KOSH KIDS project, as well as farmers in need of assistance.
With final tickets being sold, and the tally to happen we believe the winners of this project will be announced shortly.

Na die visvang en middagete het die GROOT oorlog begin, tarentale en visante se beentjies het begin bewe toe die haelgeweersakke/bokse oopgemaak en gebou word. 12 tarentale en 4 visante per span met die grootste kam en spoor die wenner sal bepaal. Gelukkig word die hoeveelheid mis skote nie in berekening gebring nie want dit sal paar manne se gesigte rooier los as die tarentale wat hul mis skiet s’n

Theraidwascalledjustafter noon,andbytheevening,atotal ofeightgentlemenhadgathered atWesleyWells'residence.The groupconsistedoffourTablers, twoPipeliners,andtwoguests,all readytopartakeintheevening’s impromptufestivities.TheKloof 190constitutionclearlystatesthat intheeventtheMugof Fellowshipisnothandedover promptly,membersareentitledto raidtheChairman'shomeand helpthemselveswithfoodand drink.
"We were very clear about our traditions, and when Wesley didn’t hand over the mug, we knew what we had to do," commented one of the Tablers, with a grin. "It’s all in good fun and part of the spirit that makes our Table so unique."
The evening was filled with laughter, good-natured ribbing, and an abundance of fellowship, true to the ethos of Round Table The raid not only reinforced the bond among the members but also provided an opportunity for newer Pipeliners and guests to experience the vibrant culture of Kloof 190 first-hand.
Despite the unexpected invasion, Wesley Wells took the evening in stride, joining in the merriment and acknowledging his oversight with good humour. "Hopefully, Wesley has learned his lesson about our traditions," said another member, chuckling. "But honestly, we hope he doesn’t because this was a fantastic evening!"
The Mug of Fellowship, a symbol of unity and fellowship among the members, has since been properly handed over, ensuring the continuity of this cherished tradition. The raid stands as a testament to the strong community spirit within Round Table Kloof 190, where traditions are upheld with enthusiasm and a touch of light-heartedness.
