Dear RTSA Tablers,
Another table year is near the end, and we are already distributing the 45day pack. Arranging an AGM and drafting or perusing reports, gives us an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past year and gives us perspective on the goals for the next term. We, as a collective have changed the lives of the less fortunate in more than a hundred communities and driven Impactful Change. Our work never ends, and we should undoubtedly continue and do better than the last year and build on the foundations laid by our predecessors. If we can continue with this cycle, we will make an even bigger difference. Table is infinite.
I need to thank each tabler that has served his community, table and inspired the younger tablers to be the leaders of the next generation and drive Impactful Change.
If you have not yet registered for Artsa, please do this as soon as possible. The South Cape has pulled out all the stops and the Mossel Bay Artsa promises to be one to remembered for years to come.
We append hereto all relevant reports, candidate nominations and motions as per the RTSA Constitution. All clubs should please peruse and consider the content and obtain a mandate from its members relating to the voting at Artsa. All members should please be encouraged to contact any of the RTSA Executive Council members regarding any enquiries of any reports or motions appended in the 45-day pack. I also want to encourage the members to attend the forums during ARTSA and take part in the discussions.
I look forward to see you all at Artsa and leave you with the wise words of Anton Rupert“In Southern Africa, you cannot escape being your brother’s keeper. How can you sleep if your neighbor is hungry”
Yours in Table
Louis Radley

8. Address by the RTI Vice President
Marc Germeshausen
Werner Swanepoel - It is my great pleasure to introduce our next esteemed speaker.
Listing the positions held of this next Tabler is not possible in 5 minutes. Starting out as one of the youngest IRO’s in history, nothing has stopped him from serving Round Table. In his fourth year on the RTI Board, he is more experienced than most. This weekend, he is attending his 9th ARTSA, a record that many of us will never break.
He is well known in the Natal North Coast, with whom he shares a special bond. He attended many socials and business meetings all over our association. A lover of Braai, biltong and brannas. A man who knows that Windhoek is much better than Castle Lite.
From Round Table Austria (and 25% RTSA), our Round Table International Vice President
Marc Germeshausen

Round Table
Southern Africa – Write-up
Date: 29 February 2024
Re: 45 Day Pack – Treasurer write-up
Mr. President and fellow members:
With great pleasure, I would like to write a small write-up in regards to the financial year and all the aspects we covered and accomplishments we were able to make during the year.
During the year under review, we have managed to make savings in all aspects of the financial budget. A saving of R524 415 has been estimated with RTI World Meeting 2023 contributing to the saving and profit to the amount of R174 496. We also did a saving of R65 543 on the Owen Frye Fund. This will leave the year at a total saving of R589 958 and an estimated profit of R324 415. I believe we used the membership fees in such a way that they could see that we care.
The financial statements of RTI World meeting were signed off by the auditors on the 20 February 2024. The financials statements had a small profit of R33 217. This money was approved by RTIHYM to be given back to RTSA. There was also R400 000 management fees that is allocated to RTSA. This management fees forms part of donations received for World bucks money and R300 000 is allocated to different funds to distribute as donations.
Management accounts were sent out monthly, and management accounts were believed to be easy to read for any member with no financial background. In the Dr. David Smith Trust, a lot of progress has been made, and at the moment we are using attorneys to help us with the proses resign the old trustees so that the new trustees can be added to the trust.

Round Table Southern Africa – Treasurer Report
Date: 29 February 2024
Re: 45 Day Pack – Treasurer Report
To: RTSA members
Mr President and my fellow Exec members, with all due protocol observed I would like to present to you my treasurer’s report. We almost at the end of fourth term of our year and it seems that it was only yesterday starting the journey together. Please find below my report up and until 29 February 2024.
1. Management Accounts
As per our first communication to the members and promises made at the beginning of our term, I am happy to report that we have sent out 10 management packs covering the period from March 2023 to February 2024. We have delivered on out promise to keep the members up to date and to be as transparent as possible. Final management accounts will be send out on the mass mail of March.
Although minimum feedback has been received at the point of writing this report, I do believe the management accounts are sufficient and we have done what we set out to do. The members are informed and are sufficiently equipped with the financial tools and understand what we, as an ASSCO, do achieve.
We are already into February and the hard work to prepare the final financial statements has already. started. The goal is to get all paperwork and supporting documentation delivered to the auditors by no later than the 7th of March 2024.
My personal goal is to have a signed set of audited financial statements by no later than the 26th of March 2024. This would give the members of RTSA close to a month to analyse and scrutinise the financial statements.
2. Projected Profit or Loss – Budget vs Actual vs Savings
I have also attached the projected profit and loss calculation regarding expenses that still needs to be paid out or provisioned in February 2024. This gives us an idea on where we are going to end off the financial year.
We started the year with an approved budget that calculated using into the savings of the general fund of R200 000 for 2023/2024, but due to good control over the expenses and savings by all ASSCO members and doing everything possible to save where we can, we are looking at closing the financial year of with a profit of +/- R324 415. This is +/- R524 415 saving with RTI World Meeting 2023 contributed to the saving and profit to the amount of R174 496. We also did a saving of another R65 543 on the Owen Frye Fund. This will use total saving of R589 958.
Our conference fund has to been replenished to the required levels as it should be of R520 000. We need to transfer an amount from the general fund to our conference fund of R13 472.
The above figures also put our general fund in an extremely healthy state. We should close the financial year with a balance of +/-R1 220 727 in our general fund after we transferred the amount

mentioned above to the conference fund. The required minimum balance on the 29th of February 2024 should be R450 000. This gives us a surplus in our general fund of close to R770 727. Please just a reminder that this is not the audit figures.
3. RTI World meeting
The financial statements of RTI World meeting were signed off by the auditors on the 20 February 2024. The financials statements had a small profit of R33 217. This money was approved by RTIHYM to be given back to RTSA. We are still waiting for outstanding SARS queries and after it is resolved then outstanding debtor will be paid over to RTSA. There was also R400 000 management fees that is allocated to RTSA. This management fees forms part of donations received for World bucks money and R300 000 is allocated to different funds to distribute as donations.
4. Capitation fees
All the capitation fees were sent and all payments were received. All tables are paid in full as well as last year outstanding cap fees.
5. Financial statements
The signed financial statements were sent to the auditors on the 31 May 2023 and was submitted the same day to SARS.
6. Taxation
We have received our tax clearance certificate on 31 May 2023 and the association is tax complaint for the current financial year. In regards to the deregistration of the VAT, this still an ongoing struggle. This sounds easer as it is but this is one we need to ride out as there is no clear indication when SARS will be finalising the deregistration. We were only been able to fixed at the moment the name that was incorrectly spelled on the VAT that we can be able to linked this to our profile and now the proses only can be fully started.
7. Dr David Trust
In terms of the Dr. David Trust, we have made some headway on this issue. We received the signature from the founder of the trust. I am also in the process of collecting all the necessary information from the new trustees and old trustees and will submit this information to the attorneys when I have received everything. I believe this is the first significant progress we've made since I was last on the board of trustees in the 2018/2019 financial year. I will keep you updated as we go along.

BUDGET FOREWORD PROPOSED BUDGET 2024/2025
Creating a budget is often seen as a daunting and difficult task, even more so if it is the budget of Round Table Southern Africa. One would think that it would become easier, especially as this is my 3rd time being involved on the preparation side. One of the most significant difficulties of creating a budget is finding a solution that will satisfy everyone involved.
During the preparation of this budget, several factors had to be considered which includes but not limited to the following:
• RTSA Constitution and Rules
• Historical practises
• Current economic circumstances
• Membership figures
• Increased costs
• Geographical issues relating to travelling and hosting of ASSCO meetings and Executive meetings
The proposed capitation fee for 2024/2025 is R2,077.97, an increase of R1.72 from the previous term. Basically, keeping capitation fees for 2024/2025 unchanged.
We are now entering the 3rd term post Covid, and comparing capitations fees of R1,450.13 from 2019/2020 to the proposed capitation fees, we have had an average increase of 7% year on year over the last 6 years.
We must also remember and factor in that on numerous occasions over the past few years the members proposed and voted in added increases to capitation fees.
Membership
In the last 10 years, RTSA has had a membership decline of more than 40%, but for the first time, the outlook on our membership numbers is not all doom and gloom.
The stabilisation of our membership numbers over the last year has enabled us to keep capitation fees unchanged for 2024/2025.
All Tables must be commended for still getting inductions through in January and February and not keeping it back until March.

Travel Cost & Airfare
The travel rate of R4.75 has been kept unchanged from the previous term.
We have also factored in any increase in airfare prices, making sure we do not leave any travelling ASSCO member out of pocket.
ASSCO and Exec Meetings
The 2nd and 3rd ASSCO meetings have been allocated to locations close to major airports, enabling us to keep the cost down on these expenses.
The 2nd ASSCO will be hosted in East London and the 3rd ASSCO hosted in Secunda.
In the previous budget forum, members raised their concerns regarding the combined ASSCO and Executive meetings proposed. The members voted in that the Executive meetings be taken to the Area Conferences, enabling the Areas to engage with RTSA Executive members.
The 2nd Executive meeting will be held at the KZN Tri Area Conference in July with the 3rd Executive meeting held at the WP Summer Conference in October.
Owen Frye Fund & International Travel
In the previous year, we had to absorb a big increase on the Owen Frye Fund and international travel due to sharply increase in airfares. Global airfares remain excessively high, but due to savings made in the previous term, we were able to decrease the Owen Frye Fund contribution from R396.93 to R350.00.
Deficit vs Savings
The current term estimates a saving of around R250,000.
If we look at the surplus of approximately R800,000 which excludes the minimum balance of the General Fund (R450,000) and Conference Fund (R520,000) respectively, we have decided to use R200,000 of the surplus from the previous year to subsidise the members with capitation fees.
The Constitution has been drafted that we are able to use any savings/surplus to assist in the next years calculation towards capitation fees.
Utilizing the surplus, an increase of R260.00 per member has been prevented, enabling us to keep capitation fees unchanged.

Conclusion
I do realise that unfortunately the budget would not keep everyone happy, but the best that we could do is to present a fair budget to all involved and affected by capitation fees.
There would always be strong arguments from opposite sides of the debate, but the most important part to remember is to always actively engage in these debates to make sure we take this organisation forward.
The incoming Executive still commits to making sure that member’s money is spent wisely and any possible savings are made against the budget.
Yours in Table
Antonie Smit

Association International Ielations Officer’s Report 73rd Annual General Meeting 27 April 2024
Mr. President, with all du protocol being observed.
It has been the highlight of my table career serving on your council and serving the members of this wonderful association. I do not think any number of words can describe the personal growth it brought me as a father, husband, businessman and a person. I can’t think of any better way to end my 14-year table career.
The year did not come without any challenges, but with the strong team we formed as an ASSCO we managed to handle it with ease. Strong bonds were formed with AMI and RTI for the future to come and we can be proud of our association at an international level.
I would like to thank my wife Coleen for keeping the household running and looking after Eloise and Christin for the long periods of time that I spent traveling representing the Association during the year. Coleen you and the kids are really the foundation of my whole being and I love you guys dearly.
I would also like to thank all the members of the association for allowing me to serve is your IRO. It has been an absolute honor and a privilege. Thank you for always treating me as one of you a “Joe Tabler” and assisting with any request and info needed.
I would like to leave you with following quote from Albert Schweitzer
“You must give some time to your fellow man. Even if it’s a little thing, do something for those who have of help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it. For remember, you don’t live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here, too.”
Yours in Table

Round Table Southern Africa – IRO Report Association IRO Report 4th Assco Meeting
My work started immediately the morning after ARTSA Weesgerus, getting all the internationals on the bus at 06:00. I then started with all the exchange agreements and figuring out who the tablers are that had to travel internationally. I must admit this was not an easy task as I had the do a lot of work to find out, who had to go where, was their registrations done and was transport and accommodation booked, once they arrive abroad etc. I am glad to report that all the travel exchanges had been attended except for the Belgium AGM.
List of Exchange Agreements completed.

Gauteng has given notice that they voted to cancel their Exchange Agreement with RTSA, which they had with Seychelles. Gauteng has started a new exchange agreement with RT Zimbabwe
Daily and weekly updates are being shared with the IROs of our Areas on the WhatsApp
I have also attended all the RTIWM core team meetings on Zoom.
AMI
Bram Rozestraten AMI Chairman had a great meeting in Arusha Tanzania. It was an 1000% improvement on the last one I attended in Mauritius. It was also voted that RT Senegal be moved out of AMI region to SEM region. AMI adopted a resolution to vote on all reports. The only concern was the low attendance from the other associations in AMI. I really think AMI should not allow so many people to log in on Zoom. Only 5 of the 10 Associations were there in physical attendance.
On the social side we had a great time in Arusha (Tanzania) and was well looked after by the Tablers of Arusha 14. Arusha 14 announced in the AGM that the will closing Arusha 14 after the AGM, but after a lot of discussions we got them too not close. I think by convincing them in not closing, it ended up being the highlight of the weekend...
A lot of great projects was heard from all the different associations in AMI, AMI is defiantly on the rise and becoming a strong region.
RTSA is still seen as the big Brother of AMI and I again affirmed that we as RTSA is always willing to help our brothers in the AMI where we are needed and that we must not be seen as the “BIG BROTHER” but as the “BROTHER” that is willing to help.
The Next AMI AGM will be held in Zambia alongside their AGM Zimbabwe put in a bid to host the AMI AGM in 2025
The Following AMI Awards was handed out.
• AMI Fellowship Club of the Year – Bloemfontein 158 (RTSA)
• AMI Service project of the Year - Round Table Zimbabwe (Rainbow children’s village)

I am glad to report that I have signed the 16 Exchange Agreements. Arabian Gulf did not want to continue with their Exchange agreement and France was happy to take their place. Seychelles also did not renew their exchange agreement.
We also still have India that want to conclude an Exchange Agreement with RTSA.
As I receive the names for the Tablers going on the exchange agreements I have started the WhatsApp groups for the different agreements. I added the two IRO candidates as well as the current area Iro on the groups so that the are up to date with all the communication when the elected candidate takes over from me.
RTIWM Feedback
To be honest, the RTIWM 23 must be the highlight of my year so far. It has also been the most tiring event that I have attended so far. It started with me and the President joining the hunting pre-tour on Saturday 2 September, then jumped on a plane the Sunday and joined up with the convening team in Cape town, joining the Highlights pre tour on Monday in Cape Town, Adventure pre-tour on Tuesday in Grabow and back on the Wednesday to chaperone Prime Circle on the Wednesday from the Airport to the Venue for Opening Night, meeting/nations night on Thursday, AGM(Century city)/Clubhouse Party (Paarl) Friday and AMI meeting Durbanville clubhouse/Pop in with RTI board at Belville and Cape town 9 clubhouse and ended it with the Gala dinner at CTICC. In between all of this I just jumped in and helped the convening team where I could. Please believe me if I tell you that by Sunday my tired was tired.

Motion 3
• REMOVING ARTICLE 2.002 .3 OF THE RTI RULE BOOK.
2.002.3. Alternatively, where an Associate Member is unable to apply for Full Membership under rule 2.003, it may make an application anyway, but not before the fourth RTI AGM after the one at which it was officially recognised as an Associate Member. Associate Member must participate all RTI meetings during this period.
RATIONALE AND MOTIVATION:
In order to motivate associate members to grow up to and beyond a minimum membership number of 50 members and three clubs before becoming a full member. As we know the strength of the membership numbers are irrelevant when it comes to simple majority voting and we believe an aspiring association to become a full member of RTI below 50 members and three clubs should not have the same voting right.

Werner Swanepoel Foreword.
As my tenure comes to an end as a member of the Round Table Southern Africa Executive Council, I am filled with gratitude and awe at the incredible journey I have been privileged to embark on over the past five years. Serving on the council has been an honor and a privilege, allowing me to witness firsthand the dedication, passion, and drive of our organisation and its members.
During my time on the council, I have had the opportunity to learn how our organisation works, what motivates us, and how we are making a difference in the lives of others. I have been inspired by the amazing work being done by our members in South Africa, Namibia, and beyond, and I am proud to have been a part of this impactful change.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every member of the Round Table Southern Africa family for welcoming me, supporting me, and allowing me to table and experience the incredible work that you all do. It has truly been an amazing journey, and I am grateful for the memories and experiences that I will carry with me always.
Thank you once again for this incredible opportunity. It has been amazing!

I.P.P/ EXCO 1/ Constitutional Advisor Report
Mr President and fellow Tablers,
As the Immediate Past President, it brings me great pleasure to report back on the accomplishments and milestones we achieved throughout the past year. Our primary focus was to foster unity, support, and an enjoyable atmosphere within our ASSCO, and I am pleased to share that we have successfully executed our plan.
Key Objectives and Achievements:
Building Gees (Spirit): Our efforts were dedicated to creating a positive and cohesive atmosphere within our ASSCO. Through various initiatives (mostly lekker fines), events (Mostly ASSCO’S), and collaborative activities (Mostly Meetings, we aimed to build a sense of unity and camaraderie
Supporting Areas: I actively worked towards providing support to different areas within our organisation. Whether through mentorship, resource allocation, or even just a sound board, our goal was to strengthen all facets of our community.
ASSCO and Exec Council Assistance: I prioritized being a reliable resource for ASSCO and the Executive Council, especially concerning constitutional matters. My commitment to ensuring clarity and adherence to our constitutional framework remained unwavering.
Uniting as One: Central to our mission was the importance of unity. I worked tirelessly to promote a collective mindset, fostering an environment where we operate as a single, cohesive unit. This, in turn, contributes to the overall success and well-being of our organisation.
Assistance to Jo Tabler: I stood ready to assist Jo Tabler whenever help or guidance was needed. Collaboration and mutual support have been key to our success.

I am pleased to announce that, through our collective efforts, we have not only met but exceeded our objectives for the year for the IPP Role. The unity, enthusiasm, and support displayed by each member of ASSCO have truly made a significant impact on our organisation.
As I transition into the role of Jo Tabler, I want to express my sincere gratitude Mr President for your dedication and collaborative spirit. I am confident that, under the leadership of our Incoming President, we will continue to thrive and achieve even greater heights.
As we reflect on the accomplishments of RTSA throughout the year, it becomes evident that our organisation operates as a bottom-up entity, fostering an environment where every individual contributes to the collective success. The analogy of the Styrofoam cup, shared with us at the beginning of the year, resonates deeply highlighting the importance of the lasting impact we leave behind.
In the grand scheme of our work, it is not solely about individual achievements or personal accolades. Instead, it is about the legacy we create collectively, the mark we leave on the organisation, and the broader impact we have on the community we serve.
As I move forward, I encourage each one of you to consider not just what you do but how you represent yourself, what you stand for, and the enduring impact you leave in your wake. RTSA's success is not merely measured in the tasks completed but in the positive imprint we make on the people we interact with, the projects we undertake, and the overall reputation we build.
As my last and final report on Round Table Southern Africa Executive Council after serving four years consecutively comes to and end I leave you with the following:
I don’t want to leave a legacy I don’t care if they remember me.. Only Jesus. And how I represented Him.

Mr. President and fellow association members, I had the honour and privileged to serve on your association board and serve our members and the community as the Inkundla Editor, in my outgoing year before I go out as a 41er.
What a memorable year it was and journey it has been, I will ever be thankful for raising my hand. I gained valuable experience, added to me skillset and has grown immensely as a person. I trust and believe that I largely achieved my goals that set for me at the beginning of the year, and I can only hope that I made the organization and its members proud. Everything second, minute, hour and late nights to meet the deadlines was worth it and the journey will remain with me forever.
To my fellow exec and ASSCO members, thank you is not enough, what a memorable year it has been, I have got to know each one of you better and can now call you all friends for life. I have learned from each one of you and even if you don’t know it, each one of you has shaped me in some way for the better in a very difficult year personally. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Wishing you all the best in the future.
Honorable Mr. President, Louis Radley and family, thank you for leading us and the organization in such a remarkable way, you and the family should be very proud of yourself! Thank you again. To incoming president, “Toons”, wishing you and the incoming council all the best, I know you will build on the foundation that has been laid and take the organization to even greater heights.
Serving the community through this wonderful organization for 11years have shaped me in many ways for the better and will ever be thankful. I encourage you to table to the fullest, challenge yourself, and you will see in the end how this organization have shaped and developed you and highlighted skills within you that you never knew existed.
I salute you.

Initially, an online publishing platform was a challenge as free trial versions was used before, with result that most Inkundla editions can’t be viewed anymore. This was discussed and found we need to find a sustainable way forward to ensure that we maintain our history around the Inkundla magazine. I can report that since the second edition 2023 we have moved to a paid version/package of Issuu.com, after looking at different options. This followed negotiations with them for lower subscription fees as a charitable organisation which they agreed to.
At the beginning of my year I presented to the incoming area chairmen, that we are a professional organization, the Inkundla magazine is a great platform to capture all the great work in one place and keep the history and sustainability in the future. Capturing and sharing all the great work in a professional magazine is owed to ourselves as members and future members but also our sponsorships that we heavily rely on. You will notice that statistics have improved as the year progressed, as mentioned before I cannot stress enough how important it is to continue sharing all editions on an ongoing basis on social media but not limited to, it is important that we also share the editions via email to our sponsors, beneficiaries, and the public Lets keep sharing and celebrate the great work we do!
During the year, there were healthy discussions amongst the association executive about their views on the future of the magazine, discussions led to the view that there is still “room” for a printed version of the magazine. Printed magazines offer a physical, tangible experience that digital media cannot replicate. Readers can hold, flip through, and even collect magazines, which can provide a sensory and artistic pleasure. Having printed magazines available in clubhouses showcase our rich history and work that has been done in our communities for many years. Not only this, having a printed magazine available when speaking to sponsorships will help to showcase the work we do nationally and might spark further interest with sponsors. Printed copies were handed out to the entire ASSCO and was well received by all and great feedback was received throughout the areas. Following negotiations

with printing companies, the average price of a printed copy(at very good quality print) is around R130 incl vat based on certain volumes.
With reference to the website, there were some enhancements made on the website to ensure which area/locations these responses come from for ease getting the requests to the correct areas/contact people within association. For the year its estimated that over 150+ relevant website responses were dealt with ranging from membership enquiries, request for assistance and other general enquiries. The requests have been communicated with the area chairmen for actioning. All Inkundla editions published this far have also been embedded on the website.
Gentlemen, with over 400 manhours spend so far and with a projected to end on 550 manhours for all editions as Inkundla Editor 2023/24, I hope to have made you proud. What a journey it has been, yes it has been busy in the background, but I don’t regret one second of it. As I am finishing off and going out as a 41er, I am grateful that I could have served you as the association magazine editor in my last year of tabling!
Thank you to the Area PRO’s and tablers that reach out directly and submitted reports that made my position and duties easy. It an honor and privilege sitting at the back end, receiving reports and images and working through them that shouts the great work we do as an organization.

Association Secretary Report 73rd Annual General Meeting 27 April 2024
Mr President, with all due protocol observed.
It has been yet another exceptional year in Table, I still remember you standing on one knee in front of the Bosveld bulle asking for my hand in Secretary. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve the organization on your council.
The year has not been without its challenges, however here we are at the end of the term all still standing. It was an absolute honor to server the organization alongside the Executive council as well as the ASSCO of 2023 and 2024.
After every year serving on ASSCO one grows a little more and it leaves you just wanting more. It is fascinating to realize the impact that this organization have, not only to those in need but more so to the individual tabler. Round Table gives your purpose in life, it gives you a sense of belonging. I will say it again, we are the lucky ones.
I would also like thank the members for allowing to serve them as the secretary for the last term. It has been as absolute honor. The hospitality and fellowship during official visits were second to none, thank you gents.
As for my report, Secretary is probably the more boring part and therefore I will not bore you with a long report.
I would like to end with the following statement.
“Attitude is greatly shaped by influence and association” - Jim Rohn Make sure you surround yourself with those that influence your positively, and more important, make sure you are a positive influence for those that surround you.

Mass Mails
A total of 10 mass mails have been sent out since the beginning of term, all mails was sent out on the 15th of each month accept if the 15th fell on a weekend. The opening of mass mails is still very low, mostly below 40%. We have however started to distribute the Mass Mails on WhatsApp groups trough the Area Chairman.
I believe it is safe to say that if a member of the Association does not get information it is because he does not open it.

Public Liability Insurance
Public Liability Insurance has yet again been made available to all active clubs in the Association again. This was actively promoted at all Area Conferences that I have visited throughout the year.

Round Table Southern Africa – Branding Manager Foreword
Date: 04/03/2024
Mr President and fellow Exec, ASSCO members and fellow Tablers.
The term as Branding Manager of RTSA has been one of the most rewarding times within my Table career.
I have travelled to numerous new places, met new people and now have a massive number of new experiences to reflect on as I look back on a journey that started just over a year ago.
Numerous weekends occupied by Round Table interactions has left a significant mark on me.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity extended to me.
It has been the toughest yet most rewarding time of my Table career and I hope that I was able to add some value to the significant work that has been done over the last few years.
I have a deep admiration for my fellow Executive members as well as the broader ASSCO group, who do significant work behind the scenes.
Furthermore, I am encouraged by the willingness and eagerness of those set to follow in the years to come.
It has been a pleasure to include my wife and children to Round Table travels and experiences as I looked to embrace, wherever possible, the “Family Vibes” concept.
I am honoured and privileged beyond compare.

Round Table Southern Africa – Branding Manager Report
Date: 04/03/2024
Re: ARTSA Branding Manager Report
To: RTSA
Mr President and fellow Exec, ASSCO members and fellow Tablers
Facebook and Social media
We have continued to push the Round Table #Hashtag of #impactfulchange and it is with gratitude that I can report that we have breached the 21 000-share mark.
A focus area was to show more diversity in content on our RTSA social media platforms, specifically Facebook. I believe we have succeeded in it and have gained some valuable insights with regards to types of content and themes.
It is clear that paid for content or “Boosted” posts create a substantially higher reach metric than that of organic posts
Stats below are from the period 1/05/2023 – 05/03/2024
We posted 145 FB posts from 1 May up until date of this report. The Business Suite App has calculated that approximately 143’400 Facebook Page reach - the number of people who saw the content from the page and growth of 710 likes or new members to the page and 18’100 page visits.
It is evident from the stats that we have continued to attract more people to our social media platforms on a regular basis with a following of 6800.
We have observed that reach figures for video content and/or reels do not reflect the same high numbers in Reach metrics as what static image posts offer.
We have however had more than 19’000 views in minutes (over the period) of our videos with 56.7% of those people who viewed not being followers of our pages. Video content in the form of story telling and celebrity shout-out have continued to enjoy the most interactions.
Our post with the biggest reach was the new Council Photo post ARTSA 2023 that surpassed a reach of 20’000.
The two posts with the sad news of the passing of Cali ‘Kiki’ Matthee, Neels Lourens and Retief Potgieter generated a reach of 14’400 and 13’800 respectively.
Our Facebook page is also showing steady growth.
Page 161
Jacques Van Wyk Association Branding Manager 2023/2024
Mobile: +27 83 602 6761
E-mail: branding@roundtable.co.za
We have had a substantial increase in our growth since commencing with #Impactfulchange which proves that our initial 3-year Branding Plan with the continuation of that strategy has continued to reap rewards.
We launched a RTSA TikTok account and there is some serious scope to explore opportunities within this space. Starting from fresh with no Tiktok experience with the 1st of the content launched on the 18 May 2023 we have seen a total of 56 posts with a total view count of 56’689 and 547 Followers.
Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube offer other ways to interact with members of the public and each serve a specific function.
Prioritisation of the type of engagement that we are looking for will enable us to build certain platforms quicker.
Projects with Collaboration:
1) Boeries for Blankets in Partnership with OFM
A partnership with radio station OFM and 3 Areas within the Association. Value of the collaboration exceeds R211 192 not to mention the value of exposure and publicity generated from the event.
2) Bowling for Boobies in partnership with OFM
Similar to the one above, partnerships between OFM, Round Table(also a multi area initiative) and a few other role players.
Events occurred during Breast Cancer Awareness month. Funds raised R334 600.
3) Ox Pecker Trail Run by our RTSA President
RTSA President, Louis Radley ran the challenging Ox Pecker Trail Run in conjunction with Sani Round Table 152 and raised R134’589-32 for Pevensey Place.
Pevensey place has a long and happy relationship with Round Table Southern Africa dating back to 1972 and functions as an assisted living facility for those with Cerebral Palsy.
Alliance Projects
Winter Knights
RTSA has once again partnered with Toyota as corporate alliance for our Winter Knights campaign.
As with previous years there have been a “mixed bag” in responses out of the areas within our association as not all Toyota branches were interested in partnering for the campaign.
Page 162
Jacques Van Wyk Association Branding Manager 2023/2024
Mobile: +27 83 602 6761
E-mail: branding@roundtable.co.za
Those clubs and areas who were unable to gain traction with a Toyota branch focussed on activating other partners in their immediate surroundings.
It must be mentioned that it would be beneficial to look to partner with entities that produce, store or sell nonperishable items and clothing. This is sure to be explored going forward.
The value of products dispersed in the various communities were in excess of R3 011 574.
Men’s Foundation Alliance – November 2023.
We have partnered with the Men’s Foundation with the focus on gaining traction on some shared initiatives.
Our November campaign was focussed building awareness and establishing a process of working together during the Men’s Health Month.
We provided 3 options for participation this year to allow our Tablers and their clubs a choice in participation.
1) Brovember – Purchasing and selling costume moustaches
2) MO’lympics – Teaming up with other people and doing one healthy activity at least once every week
3) Grow-A-Mo-Support-A-Bro – Grow a Moustache of support culminating in a grand shave off
Some clubs included a few other initiatives such as public speaking events to mention one.
There was also a “Give and Gain” site dedicated to fundraising initiatives for those looking to raise funds on another front. By the end of the November this functionality enabled users to raise just short of R50 000 in addition to the other initiatives.
The Men’s Foundation will also be providing us a feedback report in due course.
DON’T CAMO YOURSELF
Our Round Table Initiative has continued to drive awareness surrounding Male Mental Health.
In recent times we have engaged with RTBI and the AMI regions, who are due to formally join the movement and act as a distribution arm of the clothing range. This is a truly significant step in taking this message even more global.
Page 163
Jacques Van Wyk Association Branding Manager 2023/2024 Mobile: +27 83 602 6761 E-mail: branding@roundtable.co.za
We have selectively engaged with Zoe Upson, a British citizen, whose posts about male mental health had gone viral on LinkedIn (in excess of 2 500 000 interactions). Zoe is now a proud recipient of a Blue DCY Jacket and continues to build the initiative on another level.
This initiative started small and has now officially gone global.
Though we might not be able to accurately provide figures of positive impact by the DCY initiative, we can find comfort that we are reaching far and wide and making a difference with the message.
Funds raised and donated is distributed to the Men’s Foundation of South Africa.
Be sure, we might not be able to change the world in its entirety, but we have changed the world for some.
Regalia Committee
The Regalia committee continued to review not only logo use and layout but that of the type of content placed into society. Nearly all requests are responded to within 48hours. The requests that were responded to outside the 48-hour timeframe was due to technical issues and related delays.
We have also looked to promote the use of the 2022 updated corporate identity guide as a guideline for designs and other regalia.
Rondel Trademark
We have renewed the trademark of the Rondel in the relevant classes for a period of 10 years in the last term and have filed the applications to add primary and secondary logo to the registered trademark, alternatively register a new trademark.
No action is required in the near future.
Branding Plan
The Branding plan was presented at Shadow Assco in 2022 and is a continuation of successful implementation in previous years, including but not limited to the #impactfulchange journey, the 3year plan and ultimately the ‘infinite game’ as we look to re-use specific elements.
DSTV Commercial
We were once again able to secure a R1 000 000 worth of on air sponsorship.
Page 164

E-mail: branding@roundtable.co.za
Content placement schedules were confirmed, and will be shown through December 2023, January 2024 and February 2024 on ETV, eMovies and eNCA.
Our most recent commercial was shot in Johannesburg and the production we deem a huge success.
Providing another element of Round Table in the form of “in the life of a Tabler”.
Content has also been shared on our Social Media Platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok and across WhatsApp channels.
Funds Raised and Dispersed.
Currently the Association has Raised R27’131’200-00’ and distributed R 17’800’796-00.
In addition to the funds raised and distributed, 58’298 Man Hours were reported.
Conclusion
RTSA has continued to build on from previous successes, it has become evident that we are reaping the reward of the last few years inputs and focussed hard work.
We are extremely excited for what the future holds.
Mr President, I hereby move my report for adoption.

Dear Mr President,
members of the Executive Council, Area Chairman and Tablers.
It was a honor and privilege to serve as your ARTSA 2024 convenor. Thank you for entrusting me with this task to arrange ARTSA 2024.
Yes there was challenges along the way, yes the travels and arrangement took a time and effort, however as we are nearing the end and as I reflect back, I can honestly say it was worth all the time and effort and this organization as made ‘n tremendous positive impact in my life.
When we started with the planning on ARSTA 2024 we set out to find a single venue that can accommodate the forums, AGM venue, the Hardcore with entertainment and accommodation.
Diaz hotel was the venue of choice, the hotel can accommodate 468 guests and for the remainder, there is ample accommodation available in a small radius. The banquet and Hardcore Hut will be in a large white tent on paved surface, we done know what the weather is going to do.

Round Table Southern Africa – Vice President Report
Date: 29/02/2024
Re: Vice President Report
To: RTSA Association Council
Mr President and Fellow Tablers, with all due protocol observed I would like to present to you my Vice President’s report.
It is my pleasure to provide you with feedback on the Vice President portfolio for the last 12 months.
It feels like yesterday that I got entrusted by the Association to fulfil the roll as Vice President, and yet here we are, the final few months with all excitement building up to ARTSA 2024.
1. Membership (Extension & Retention)
Background:
Page 174
Antonie
Smit Association Vice President 2023/2024
Mobile: +27 84 231 1000
E-mail: vicepresident@roundtable.co.za
Feedback:
- We started the year of with 729 members (excluding 26 honorary members for the year) and I am happy to report that we have inducted 171 new members into our association during the year
- Regarding resignations, we had a total of 91 resignations during the year, with February living up to its reputation as “resignation season”.
- As it stands, we will lose 70 members to the dreaded 40-year age rule at the end of the year.
- The rechartering of Powerlines 239 (Mpumalanga) and Elliot 141 (Border) has gone through the necessary steps and will be recharter during the respected Area’s AGM.
- We ended the year on 737 members, and for the first time in years has shown a positive growth, with our membership up by 8 members. 8 members might not sound like much, but I will take the small victories.
2. Membership Plan (Implementation Phase)
Background:
- Last year, all Area Vice Chairman were task with developing a Membership Plan unique to their Area. This year a lot of focus would be placed on the implementation of the respected plans.
Feedback:
- During all our travels, engaging with all the Areas, a big focus from my side was placed on the culture we have in our Association, Areas, and Tables.
- This is something that I will continue driving during my year that is coming up. I do believe we have been moving in the right direction the last couple of years, but we cannot allow ourselves to become complacent and lose all the momentum all of us has worked so hard to get.
- The positive signs our membership has shown, indicates that we are doing something right, we must keep doing it and keep reminding ourselves of what is required.
- Membership growth and retention is up to each one of us! We as Tablers need to stand up and actively go and find the next generation of Tablers.

3. Ladies Circle South Africa
Background:
- The Vice President will act as liaison between Round Table Southern Africa and Ladies Circle South Africa.
Feedback:
- It was a privilege to attend the Ladies Circle AGM in Gauteng during the month of May, building and strengthening the relationship we share between our associations.
- During December 2023, RTSA and LCSA convened a side-by-side project called “The Holiday Challenge”. This project encouraged Tablers, Circlers, 41ers, Tangent and Agora members to stay active during the festive season.
- This is the first year that this project was held, and we hope we can continue each year going forward. We might even go bigger and better!
- We had 78 “participants” joining “The Holiday Challenge" group and 39 participants submitting their data at the end of the challenge.
- Summary of the activities as follows:
o Total Active Km’s: 7032.28km
o Walking: 1594.28km
o Running: 1379.95km
o Swimming: 27.66km
o Cycling: 869.93km
o Steps: +-3160.46km
4. 41er South Africa AGM
Background:
- I have had the privileged to attend the 41er AGM held at Blue Lagoon, East London, over the weekend of 1-3 September 2023.
Feedback:
- This surely had one of the best weekends of the year written all over it. The stories, history and just the fellowship on the Friday night was second to none.
- Unfortunately, due to the sad events on Saturday, the rest of the weekend took on a sombre tone. Personally, this hit very close to home with myself being a father.
Page 177

- The power of Table was again highlighted with everyone pulling together assisting Moffat and his family!
5. President / Vice President Travels
Background:
- The Vice President will accompany the President on all Area visits during the year.
Feedback:
- It has been an honour and a privilege to travel and experience the fellowship within our association on another level. The like-minded gentleman you get to meet up with, the constructive engagement of what we should and what we should not be doing, the different cultures and dynamics within each area, the impactful change we are making within our communities, each part of that just keeps blowing my mind. We sometimes forget how lucky we are to be part of something special, to be part of this organisation.
6. Conclusion
I want to leave the following food for thought with each member of this great association.
We all have the ability to lead, it is what we do with that responsibility that determine the impact we make.
"Leadership is not about what sets you apart from those you lead — it's about what binds you together. It is not about controlling others — it's about trusting others. It's not about your achievements it's about unleashing your team's greatness." ― Bob Davids
Mr President, I hereby move my report for adoption.

RTSA CANDIDATE STATEMENT-ASSOCIATION IRO 2024/2026
Fellow members of Round Table Southern Africa, My name is Francois Cois van der Merwe and this is my campaign to serve as RTSA IRO for the year 2024-2026
Just a little bit about myself. I Am from Kokstad 35 NSCA area, married to Marilise van der Merwe and I have two beautiful kids Casey (10) & Chad (6).
I was inducted in 2017 and kicked off as Vice Chairman of Kokstad 35 in 2017 and then held numerous positions at club level, I was club Chairman for Kokstad 2018/2019, and soon after that moved to the Western Cape.
Not too long after our move to the Western Cape I started the process of chartering Yzerfontein 276, the official Charter happened on the 30th October 2020 (one of my proudest moments up to date in table) I was interim chairman for Yzerfontein 2020 and Chairman 2021.I also had the privilege of being the Western Province Area IRO for 2 years 2020/2021-2021/2022.
I have attended numerous ARTSA’S, NSCA conferences/AGM’s, WP Conferences/AGM’s.
I also had the privilege to attend the South Cape June Conference, World meeting in Romania & South Africa, Namibia Fishing Boogy, Germany AGM, and BMG & Border Conference.
I would like to talk about the position I am campaigning for Association IRO and to share my views on why I am campaigning for the position.
Firstly I feel that the IRO portfolio has stood out to me from the beginning because it fits my personality one hundred percent, I believe an IRO needs to have certain qualities, hard working, a true ambassador, a gentleman, someone that is Positive and one that always puts others before himself.
Page 187
I believe that when you have a passion for something and the commitment to see each and every challenge or opportunity through then anything is possible. And I do believe that I am the candidate who has all these qualities in Table and in my professional occupation.
An IRO needs to be a clear communication channel between our Brothers abroad from different tables and to each and every Tabler in RTSA, from your Mr President Right through to the brother that has just joined table. I want each and everyone to know exactly what RTI is and what it entails for us to keep our brotherhood solid.
Twinning agreements are also a very important aspect that I will focus on as we already have strong twining agreements in place but I will urge each and every table to get in touch with their numbers table and get the twinning agreements in place, not only to aid in our communities but also to make it accessible for them to visit tables abroad, and to allow us to build fellowship by having the Tablers from abroad visit our beautiful country and see how we table and make an impactful change to the communities where we all are.
At the end of the day we live by our motto
ADOPT- the examples set by the respected members before me
ADAPT- to all international exchange agreements and relations set up in the past and work incredibly hard at maintaining them
IMPROVE-where possible.
The most important aspect that I see myself doing in this portfolio is to serve the association and its members and to share our passion, vision and fellowship with RTI at the best of my ability.
In closing I would like to ask for your support, Gents!!
Vote for Cois as RTSA IRO.
Yours in Table

Willem Wouter Dreyer RTSA INKUNDLA EDITOR CANDIDATE Statement
I am Wouter Dreyer, I am 23 years old and currently living in Potchefstroom. I am unmarried and have no children but I do, however, have a brand new Border Collie puppy. His name is Obi-Wan Kenobi. I am a freelance writer during the day and keep myself busy with various other activities in the hospitality industry.
In 2021, I was introduced to Round Table, shortly after the pandemic. I got to know Round Table 47 by helping them out with one of their projects by convening the bar for an event. I was immediately welcomed and felt a big urge to be part of the organization and community of friends. It was inspiring to hear what Round Table stands for and how they go about giving back to the community.
In 2022, I started to attend meetings, and before I knew it, I was officially inducted in March of that same year. During my first term, I ran the clubhouse portfolio, managing the bar and the premises for our meetings. It did not take long for me to start attending conferences. My first in June of 2022 (Winter Conference), followed by the Summer Conference that same year, which was a collaboration between the Northern Cape, Free State and my home area, STNOFS.
The year 2023 started with winning the Tabler of the year title in Potchefstroom. I also raised my hand to be secretary, IRO, and PRO. Later on, I took over the Vice Chairman portfolio as well. I attended various council meetings, as well as the Winter and Summer Conferences of that year.
Page 193
I was fortunate enough to attend my first international meeting. It was the 47 Numbers meeting in Sweden. Later that year, I attended the World Meeting in Cape Town.
My 2024 term started off by being elected as Chairman for Potchefstroom Round Table 47 and campaigning for the position of Association Inkundla Editor.
I feel very strongly about my commitment to Table. It taught me more than what I could have ever imagined and I am truly grateful for that. Table have also open so many doors for me and I want to continue to give that chance to others as well.
I am excited and optimistic about the year to come. As Inkundla editor, I want to make sure that our brand is visible, and that people understand what we do as an association. I have only just begun, and I look forward to making a further impact as a Tabler.
My focus will, and always be, to shout about our great organisation and to inspire others. I want to show them that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Round Table Southern Africa
Antonie Smit RTSA President Candidate Statement
I am Antonie Smit, husband to Debby and very proud father to Dean, Evan and the latest addition to the family, Carí. I am an Accountant by trade and resides in the northern parts of Pretoria.
In 2012 I was briefly introduced to Round Table by attending Pretoria 136’s Beer Festival. I did not immediately realise the impact Round Table had in its communities or the fellowship behind it, so life took me on a different journey for a few years.
In 2017 I was invited to attend a business meeting of Pretoria 136 by a close friend, Christo Bezuidenhout. I quickly became very passionate about the good work that Round Table did, but the thing that caught me off guard was the fellowship and brotherhood in Round Table.
I was fortunate enough to be inducted in August 2018 and became part of this life changing organisation.
I got to serve on the ASSCO that started driving impactful change in our organisation and the communities we serve. 4 years later and the #impactfulchange is going stronger day by day I have been privileged and honoured to serve on the last 4 ASSCO’s, experiencing the friendship, brotherhood, and passion within our organisation on a totally different level.
We as an organisation needs more members to raise their hands and drive the change from within our organisation. The moment we become complacent or that we think the next person will do it, is the moment that we lose the battle.

We as members of the best young man’s organisation in the world, need to make sure that this organisation is still there to benefit our children in the same way we as members has experienced.
Each member has the opportunity and ability to lead. It is what you do with that responsibility that matters.
"Leadership is not about what sets you apart from those you lead — it's about what binds you together. It is not about controlling others — it's about trusting others. It's not about your achievements it's about unleashing your team's greatness." ― Bob Davids

Vos Botha RTSA VP Candidate Statement
I am Andre Vos Botha, I am not betrothed, nor do I have any offspring. Family is, however, very close to my heart, and I am a big advocate for great family vibes as it spreads happiness.
I was born in Dordrecht in the Eastern Cape and was schooled in Queenstown (home of Queenstown 16).
I am currently residing in Polokwane in the Limpopo Provance of South Africa. I am an Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Manager of a large Construction Company.
I was introduced to Round Table in 2007, where I had to pitch tents at the Sabie Tube race for the members of Impala 157; I was again invited to join the event in 2008 as my Manager at the time was a Tabler.
Only in January 2015 was I formally invited to a business meeting of Impala 157. After the first meeting, I never looked back.
I was inducted in January 2016.
The most frequently asked question to a new tabler or any other tabler is, “Why did you join Table?” My question is however, why do you stay in Table? My reasons are as follows:
1. Round Table can be seen as the University of Life.
2. It is one of the only young men’s Organisations where we, as men, can make a difference in communities while having fun.
3. It opens up a network of fellowship second to none, not only in your town, area or Country but globally.
4. It gives us a purpose in life and a sense of belonging.
Page 204
After going through the ranks, I was privileged to serve my Table as Chairman. My passion for this Organisation got me wanting more; I then put my name in the Hat for Bushveld Area Vice and then Bushveld Area Chairman, where I served on the ASSCO under the leadership of Stefan Grobler. This was the platform where #Impactfulchange was driven. I was honoured by President Mr Grobler with an Exceptional Service Award at the ARTSA Banquet.
President Werner Swanepoel then asked me to be his Secretary for the year; even though I took over the portfolio three months into the term, it was an absolute honour to serve the Association at that level. This is when you realise how significant this organisation's impact is and the reach of #impactfulchange. President Louis Radley then asked me to serve a second term as Association Secretary, where I am currently serving
I greatly believe in the two parts of influence, Positive and Negative. We must use our influence so that positivity is the norm and not the exception. This Organisation, with a focus on #impactfulchange, provides the perfect platform for us to influence people positively.
This is precisely why I would like to put my name up for leadership positions, starting with Vice President and, ultimately, President of this Association. To influence people, our people of our Association, the Association we all love so dearly.
To ensure the longevity of RTSA so that our children will still have the opportunity and the honour to make an #impactfulchange in their communities and have the opportunity to be part of the brotherhood of fellowship across the globe.
No one else’s responsible for ensuring RTSA will remain but our own.
Page 205
Round Table benefits not only the communities we operate in but also the members that make a difference. I have always said what you put into this Organisation, you will receive back in abundance. Not financially but in a wealth of knowledge, fellowship networks and the opportunity to grow.
As a candidate for Vice President of Round Table Southern Africa, I am committed to putting every effort into ensuring that our Organisation grows in members and, ultimately, as an entity. To focus on Areas with difficulty in membership and assist them to the best of my ability. Ensure that membership plans relevant to each Area and Table are available and suitable. Work closely with Areas and Tables to ensure effective, implementable, and relevant membership plans. My theme for the term will be “Power of Influence.”
I am excited to use my influence positively throughout the Association should I be successful with my campaign.
Round Table – “We are the lucky ones”
Jim Robin said: “Attitude is greatly shaped by influence and association.” Let us be the influence that shapes the attitude of great Tablers.
Yours in Table

Lihann Kriek RTSA VP Candidate Statement
I am Lihann Kriek, husband to Teresa and very proud father to Leroux and Johann. I am a financial manager and accountant by trade and resides in the central of the Free State.
Early in 2012, I was approached by an old friend from my varsity years. He explained that he had the next step for me to be part of something equal that we had in the years in the hostel at varsity. The same core values of honesty, fellowship, and looking after your friends as you look after your family The only thing that was the same but different was making a difference in the community and how.
Shortly after the discussion, I was invited to a business meeting at Round Table Bloemfontein 25. From the first meeting, I was drawn to the fact of how business was conducted and the expectations of tablers to be part of the organisation. Slowly, the passion kicked in, and Round Table became part of my life, DNA, and way of life.
I was fortunate enough to be inducted in December 2012 and become part of this life-changing organisation.
For me, being the change you want to see in the world and making a difference in the community is better than sitting back, complaining, and doing nothing to make a difference. This mealt into the same core values and believe table stands for. We are also part of a unique organisation that changes young men to be better men, businessmen, brothers, husbands, and fathers for our families.
As a candidate for Vice President of Round Table Southern Africa, I am committed to ensuring that our organisation continues promoting the values above-mentioned but also making sure there is an organisation that our kids come back to. I am here to serve our members. Our members are our assets, and I am here to make sure that we look after ourselves and our members.
I believe that through our collective efforts, we can create a vibrant and diverse organisation that will strive to make a positive impact in the lives of our members and the communities we
Page 210
serve. I am excited to begin the last chapter of my table career and will not stop working as hard as I can to leave the organisation in better place as I received it.
My dad always said to get stuck in it and get hands dirty, and that is what I am planning to do.
