Pg. 5 From the President
As we reflect on the month of love, February.
Love is the essence that binds us together, transcending barriers of distance, time, and circumstance. It is a force that envelops us in warmth, offering solace and companionship amidst life’s trials and triumphs.
At its core, love for each other embodies an unwavering commitment to understanding, acceptance, and support. It is a celebration of individuality, yet a recognition of our interconnectedness as human beings. In loving one another, we find strength in vulnerability, and courage in compassion.
Sense of belonging arises from love’s embrace, as we discover our place within the intricate tapestry of relationships. It is in the shared moments of laughter, tears, and silence that we cultivate a deep-rooted bond, fostering a profound sense of unity and belonging.
Fellowship flourishes in the fruitful ground of love, nurturing a community where differences are celebrated, and diversity is embraced. It is through acts of kindness, empathy, and understanding that we forge meaningful connections, building a sanctuary of belonging where all are welcomed and valued.
In essence, love for each other, sense of belonging, and fellowship intertwine to form the fabric of human connection, weaving a tapestry of warmth and understanding that transcends the boundaries of time and space.
It is through love that we find solace, through belonging that we find purpose, and through fellowship that we find joy in the shared journey of life.

Dear fellow RTSA Tablers,
The Inkundla editions just gets better and better. We will hand out a special printed version at ARTSA in Mossel Bay, so please get your registrations in as soon as possible. This ARTSA promises to be the best ever.
February month is always a month filled with love and Valentine’s day, but it also marks the end of the Table career of our members will have to retire because of the age rule. It is always sad to see these members leave and the wealth of experience lost is immeasurable. This year we have 70 members joining the ranks of the 41ers. We are thankful for your service, for driving Impactful Change, for serving your communities and tables, for inspiring and educating the next generation of tablers and for leaving RTSA in a better position. I do hope that all of you still stick around and pop in regularly at your local club’s meetings.
With this edition being the Valentine’s edition, it is only suitable to thank our ladies for their continued support and tabling with us. We would not be able to table and drive Impactful Change without them.
I was privileged to attend the RTI HYM in Kathmandu, Nepal with our IRO, Treasurer and World Meeting Convenor and was able to give proper feedback on the RTI World meeting 2023, Cape Town. Many still belief that this was the best World meeting ever and none will be able to match same in the future. I know many Areas are concluding their AGM’s, with the last 4 this coming weekend. Congratulations to the new councils and good luck with the coming term. I look forward to seeing everyone at ARTSA.
RadleyWith Pretoria 136 driving hard on our socials we started with a pretty hard BANG!
Capturing moments at Smash that! with Round Table Pretoria 136! Emphasizing the importance of socials with friends and mental health in our journey together.
With the guys going hard at smashing and breaking it was the girls who left us in laughter and smiles.
Every single person went at it and yes it was a bit scary to see how much aggression the ladies had in there.
Something new and definitely something we will be doing again. Cherish the good times and prioritize your well-being.

By Donnie AckermannIt was that time of the year again, Sabie Tube Race time!!
I don’t know about you guys but I for one look forward to this event all year. Right of the bat when you arrive at this event, you get greeted by your fellow tablers as you drive in.
I arrived a bit late this year for the event due to work on the Friday, we only managed to get there around 7pm on the Friday night but when we arrived at the entrance, the tablers at the entrance simply just peeked into my window and immediately saw me and my misus were wearing table shirts and immediately embarrassed us and welcomed us saying “these are tabler’s boys!
It’s always as if you’ve known each other for 20+ years when you see a fellow tabler and it never get’s old the feeling or experience.
The gents from WhiteRiver 64 really outdid themselves this year with the event. We even had a “tabler section” near the stage, how cool is that?
Everywhere you went at this event, you would see fellow tablers. I could actually leave my kids and as long as they were near a tabler, they were safe. My kids know very well, whenever they need help, just grab anyone with a rondle! Any tabler will assist a kid without hesitation.
The whole vibe at the event was electric and the music artists on the line-up really did a good job to add onto this vibe. The actual “Sabie Tube Race” was very smooth. Can clearly see this event getting better every year. Just as you think they can’t improve any further on this event, they go and surprise us. Going down the Sabie river was a very Lekka experience this year. The water level was pretty much just right and they did an exceptionally good job of cleaning the river down of branches and other debris sticking out.

Wynand Warren Northridge 117 SecretaryAs we bid farewell to another remarkable year, it's essential to take a moment to look back at the moments that defined our community in 2023. Amidst the challenges we faced, one shining thread wove through the fabric of our collective experience: the spirit of serving others with joy and enthusiasm.
Throughout the past twelve months, our community came together in a myriad of projects and activities aimed at making a positive difference. Organizing food drives for the less fortunate, the passion for service ignited hearts and minds, leaving an indelible mark on all involved.
As we turn the page to a new chapter, let us carry forward the spirit of service that defined our journey in 2023. Let us continue to seek out opportunities to uplift and empower those around us, knowing that even the smallest acts of kindness can spark profound change. Together, we have proven that when we come together with love and compassion, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
In the tapestry of our community's story, 2023 will be remembered as a year of joy, unity, and unwavering dedication to serving others. As we look ahead with hope and optimism, let us embark on this new year with the same fervor and commitment to making our world a brighter, more compassionate place for all.

Robby Du PlessisOn 20 January, several members of Welkom 40 took on the daunting challenge to walk 5km in Welkom. This was part of the annual Mielie Marathon in Welkom.
The boys donned their flamingo shirts and lined up nervously at the starting line. It turned out to be quite easy and I even saw that some of the Tablers were able to converse with the other athletes in the fun run.
After the walk, we decided that we had earned ourselves some breakfast and promptly opened the clubhouse for a well-deserved breakfast on the fire (compulsory – thank you Eskom).
It was a fun morning out for all involved and a little impromptu fellowship is always a great idea!
It has to be mentioned that Dok and Rudolf left the mere mortals behind and decided to run – we are still trying to fathom the reason for that… Jurgen Schoeman
In a powerful display of solidarity, Round Table 252 Jeffreysbay/Humansdorp and Kirkwood 78 have joined forces to support the courageous firefighters battling the blaze in Kareedouw. Recognizing the urgent need for essential supplies, these two groups pooled their resources to purchase R5000 worth of vital equipment and provisions for the frontline responders.
Moreover, their efforts were bolstered by the generosity of Spar Jeffreysbay, who made a substantial donation of R1000 to further aid the cause. Together, these communitydriven initiatives exemplify the strength of unity and the unwavering commitment to supporting those who selflessly protect and serve our communities. Through collective action and compassion, we stand resilient in the face of adversity, proving that together, we can overcome any challenge.

What an incredible evening it was at Kirkwood 78's Annual General Meeting held on Monday, the fifth of February 2024! This year's AGM was marked with a special aura as we were graced by the presence of 14 esteemed 41'ers, adding an extra layer of significance to the occasion.
One of the highlights of the evening was the election of our new committee for the term 23/24, comprising individuals who are not only dedicated but also bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the table. Leading the charge as our chairman is the dynamic Regardt van der Merwe, supported by Estiaan Ferreira as Vice Chairman, Philip Tibshraeny as Treasurer, and Carlo Botes as Secretary. Additionally, we
have AM Swart taking charge of Club House affairs, Murray Middleton as the PRO, and Daneel Meiring stepping in as an Additional Member. To each member of the new committee, we extend our heartfelt wishes for success in their respective roles. Your dedication and commitment are the pillars upon which our club thrives.
As the formalities of the evening concluded, the spirit of camaraderie and fellowship soared even higher as we gathered at the outgoing Chairman's house. Amidst the warm ambiance and the aroma of sizzling steaks, laughter and conversations flowed freely, cementing bonds and memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
Indeed, it was another proud moment for all of us associated with Kirkwood 78. As we embark on this new chapter, we carry with us the legacy of excellence and unity that defines our club. Together, let us continue to uphold the values of friendship, service, and community, making each moment a testament to the spirit of tabling.
Here's to a successful term ahead, filled with accomplishments, growth, and cherished moments of togetherness.
Cheers to Kirkwood 78!

What an incredible turnout we had at the Jolly Dolphin for Round Table 252's Music Trivia Night! It was an evening filled with great tunes, awesome company, and tons of fun!

Wynand Klaver becomes the new chairman of Round Table Barberton 67
On Friday, February 23, 2024, Wynand Klaver was officially inducted as the new chairman of Round Table Barberton 67, a renowned service organization that aims to make a positive difference in the community. The induction dinner was an elegant affair, hosted at Orange restaurant Nelspruit, attended by esteemed 41ers, members of Round Table Barberton, and their wives.
Klaver, who has been a member of Round Table Barberton 67 for three years, expressed his gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to lead the club in the upcoming year. He also thanked the outgoing chairman, Warren Hearn, for his outstanding service leadership during the past year.
Hearn, who handed over the chairman’s chain to Klaver, congratulated him and wished him all the best for his term. He also highlighted some of the achievements and projects that Round Table Barberton 67 had accomplished under his guidance, such as the Winter Knights campaign, Day Night Golf day and the annual Round Table Golf day.
Barberton 67 also officially welcomed a new member to the club on the evening as Mr AW Claasens was inducted as a member. We also bid fairwell to two of our Honorary members Mr Stephen Lea and Dawid van der Schyff who were both in table for more than 15 years and were instrumental to tge success of the club. Alongside the departure of our honorary members, Mr Warren Hearn and Mr Paul Clark had also reached the ripe old age of
40 after more than 10 years of service to the organisation and they were hander their serimonial "Kierie" or walking stick after a customary beer through the little funnel.
The incoming councel was André Visser to remain as secretary, Stephan de Witt will take over tge role of Treasurer, AW Claasens was elected as the new Clubhouse in his first year of becoming an active member and Julius von Wielligh will act as the Vice-Chairman.
The induction dinner was also a celebration of the friendship and fellowship that Round Table Barberton 67 fosters among its members and the community. The guests enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, a few jokes from the fellow tablers and a presentation by the outgoing chairman.
It all started with a message on my TABLES whatsapp group. Taken from a Facebook post, a family of five, their house was broken into, and if that was not traumatic enough, the house was set alight with the mother and her 3-week-old baby still inside the house.
The mother and baby escaped through a window, no physical harm. However, they did loose everything. Asking only for food, with family and friends bringing them clothes to wear as they had only the clothes they were wearing at the time.
We as POWERLINES 239 did wat we do best, we jumped in to help them just a few days after the tragedy happened. Getting together some essentials and delivering it to the family.
What a wonderful opportunity and experience as a Pipeliner, to be able to help someone who was knocked down, help them up and give them hope for the future again.
With this being our first project on our mission to get POWERLINES 239 recharted it really brought us as young men with ambition much closer to each other and made us ready for the year to come.
The family is back in their own house no and back on their feet.
I am one of three Tablers fortunate enough to get the opportunity to start up POWERLINES 239 again in June of 2023. We started small, but we have grown considerably. Starting with 3 tablers, 1 pipeliner and 3 guests in September, to 4 Tablers, 1 Honorary member, 2 Pipeliners (inducted at Summercon) and two guests at the end of the the 2023 season, with the very unfortunate loss of a legend from our table, Brian Rossouw.
Three months in we had already done two projects and received a transfer pipeliner, one of the hardest workers I have ever come across in my life. In the three months following we did another three projects, ending with five very successful projects in total from June to December 2023. Being voted as chairman for the year, I am honored to be part of a table with such strong and hardworking members.
We ended 2023 on a high with our final AGM held in December. Our new council has been elected and voted in. I have the privilege to be the first tabler of the year in our table that we started from scratch.
At the start of 2024 we were looking forward to hosting Summercon 2024. Putting aside all projects until Summercon is over, our attention was primarily set on making Summercon an unforgettable event. And so, it was indeed. All the hard work and dedication was worth every second. And after all the suspense, our proudest moment, POWERLINES 239“OUR TABLE” to be voted in. A moment to cherish and remember for the rest of our lives.

Powerlines 239 held the highly anticipated annual SummerCon on the weekend of the 1st of March 2024 @ Kruisrivier Nature Reserve, just outside of Loskop Dam.
It was a weekend filled with joy, love, laughter, and a true sense of community. This special occasion brought together our dedicated members, their loved ones, and new faces eager to learn more about the Round Table organisation and the brotherhood that comes with it.
It was yet again an amazing meeting. All the other tablers and families, hearing their opinions and finding out their views towards the organization.
Friday night started with a very successful fun filled ‘t-shirt’ party, meeting up with old friends and of course making new ones. Memories we will treasure for life, an unbreakable brotherhood.
An early Saturday morning meeting with former Powerline 239 tablers, the newly announced Sergeant - LEGEND – PAT KUNZE and his helping hand CHARL VENTER, left us all with a warm feeling in our hearts, for there is still goodness and kindness in people.
“So, this past Saturday I was invited to Round Table Mpumalanga's Summer conference by the Chairman Dean van der Walt of Powerlines 239... I was asked to "honour" them by being Sergeant (the honour was mine) ... I decided to do them one better and frame my old pin jacket (Memory jacket) for their club to auction off at the black-tie function. Gentlemen of the Round Table, I was sad to give it away, but to hear that an old Tabler paid R………. warms my heart in many ways. I hope and TRUST that this small donation towards your club goes a long way.” …The Seargent.
The one nut squirrel AKA Sergeant Patric Kunze.
The ladies and children enjoyed the tour of a safari trip with loads of fun during the day, it was also the first time that I know off that the ladies and kids tour went on longer than the meeting.
The success of the induction Dinner and the whole weekend would not have been possible without the unwavering support and participation of everyone involved. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all attendees who brought their enthusiasm and energy, creating an unforgettable weekend.

The time has come to write my last report as Area Chairman and only our Induction dinner, AGM and ARTSA left .
It has been an amazing year and words cannot describe the feeling that is going through me now, a lot of positive and negative emotions because you gave it your all and now it's coming to an end.
I want to thank my lovely wife and my kids for the support on this journey and our father in heaven for giving me the ability and strength to do this. I was scared in the beginning but with the support from my wife, family and fellow tablers it was not that bad it was freaking amazing.
If there's only one thing that you remember from my report is…… lewe voluit, don’t hold back and take the opportunity and run with it.
I think I did my part in these word and I took the opportunity on with both my hands, and I feel that I have given it my all.
Doing more that 31000 km on the road, hours, days spend in my car traveling to different areas, table meetings, table projects, Area Conferences, ASSCO’s, World meeting, ARTSA, fellowship visits & now I’m in the home stretch doing my last Area conference as Area Chairman.
The friends that I have made in table I will never forget and the way my wife and kids enjoyed it, was an honour and privilege to have done it with them and you guys.
The things I have learned in table and the person table has made me is
priceless. I would have never thought that I would have a passion to give back, assist others and have a passion to make a difference in someone else’s lives.
The available platform that we have is something to be proud of, something to protect and to look after it as no other organization can give you this.
To my EXEC, thank you guys for all the hard work that you have put in and thank you for believing in me to steer this ship to where we are today, I THANK YOU.
It was a rather slow start to my 2024 year and I wanted to be on leave for much longer but I had to get back into the swing of things and travel up to Welkom Free state for work and some fellowship. I also popped in at the National EXEC weekend at Aldam to show some support and fellowship.
Our EP AREA auction were online the same week and ended when I was in Welkom the Saturday evening, we managed to raise R38 000 in total and we can at least give each tabler R457 off their cap fees
After our auction I took on the challenge to run with a project called “Rennie wil Turkye toe”. With the help of the EP area tables, ASSCO members and 23 tables in total we got to raise R88200 for her trip to Turkey, flights , Accommodation, food, clothing etc.
This was one of my highlights for the year and when I got the opportunity to meet her it actually opened my eyes to
see what challenges other people has to face on a daily bases.
I made my way down to Kenton to visit all the venues for the induction dinner and AGM with the Alex Kenton 210 team and again thank you guys for all the effort put into this, extremely good work and planning done.
Thank you to Jacques and Daleen for home hosting us and Alan & Tom for the fellowship on the visit.
I made my way to Port Alfred 177 the next week Thursday to do my table visit, and a big thank you to the Port Alfred 177 table for hosting me and some lekker fellowship. Thank you Grant for home hosting me.
NB, Port Alfred 177 I’m always available to give you some pool lessons as I kicked some of the 177 guys butts.
I am extremely proud of being the area chairman of the Eastern Province and having you guys on board because we are one of the strongest areas and we are making a big difference out there.
Well done to every tabler and table chairman for what they have done to date, and I know that you guys will just grow from strength to strength.
Remember….. You only life ones, life it to the fullest.

Nico Schneider Area ChairmanGeorge 30 proudly presented our Tabler of the Year award at our recent AGM to non-other than our outgoing Table Chairman and Incoming Area Chairman, Johan Lochner.
The work Johan out in during his 2 terms as Chairman of George 30, is nothing less than remarkable.
He set out to establish a foundation that lends itself to sustainable growth for our Table. This past year truly was his year.
We wish him all the best for his new challenge, knowing that he will make a massive success of it.
He leaves behind big shoes to fill, whilst at the same time, having given his Table all the tools to succeed at the highest level.
Well done Johan.

Annually, we volunteer at the famous George Old Car Show, acting as marshals for the exhibitors.
This year, more than 1200 vehicles entered the car show. This forced us to call on all our resources. We would like to thank each and every Tabler, South Cape Tablers, 41érs, Pipelines, Guests and most important of all, our partners and family who showed up to help us.
Lots of hard work, and fun was had by all.

Niel Enslin South Cape Area IRO / PRORound Table Mossel Bay 32 kicked off 2024 on a high note with yet another successful #BeachCleanup at Diaz Beach yesterday.
The turnout was fantastic, & we managed to collect an impressive 17.4 kg of waste.
As beachgoers, we all appreciate a pristine environment when we visit the shore. But it’s not just about us—marine life also deserves a clean & safe habitat.
Let’s strive to leave only our footprints in the sand & no trace of waste as we enjoy the sea. Remember, even small efforts can lead to meaningful change.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated volunteers who are always eager to lend a hand! Special mention to Stranded Marine Animal Rescue Team & Wings Plumbing and Skips

On the evening of February 3, 2024, the Gonubie Hotel and Conference Centre in East London played host to a momentous occasion – the 76th Chairman's Induction Ceremony of Round Table No.1 East London. The oldest Table in Southern Africa and the birthplace of Round Table. This event, steeped in tradition and camaraderie, brought together Tablers from across the Border region to pay tribute to the legacy of Sir David Smith and the esteemed line of Chairmen who have guided the organization throughout its history.
The atmosphere was one of reverence and celebration as members gathered to honor the past and embrace the future. Amidst the elegant ambiance of the venue, guests reflected on the profound impact of Round Table in their lives and communities.
A highlight of the evening was the address delivered by the distinguished guest speaker, Incoming Ladies Circle South Africa President, Yolandi Gray-Browne. Her inspiring words resonated deeply, reaffirming the commitment to service and fellowship that lies at the heart of Round Table's mission.
As the ceremony unfolded, all eyes turned to the newly appointed Chairman of No.1 East London, Daryan Rowe, and his dedicated executive team. With a blend of anticipation and excitement, attendees offered their heartfelt wishes for success in the year ahead. Their leadership will undoubtedly shape the direction of the organization and further its mission of community engagement and philanthropy.
As the evening drew to a close, amidst applause and camaraderie, one sentiment echoed loud and clear – a resounding affirmation of the enduring spirit of Round Table and the profound impact it continues to make in the lives of its members and the communities they serve. Here's to a successful year ahead for Chairman Daryan Rowe and his executive team, as they carry forward the rich legacy of Round Table No.1 East London.
By Donnie AckermannBeurtkrag is nou iets van die verlede by Paarl 44 se klubhuis.
By Donnie AckermannRecognizing the struggles faced by many in our midst, Ladies Circle 28 –Newcastle Crowns, decided to take action. On Sunday the 4th of February 2024 a group of compassionate women got together with one mission in mind, to bring smiles to the faces of those who needed it most.
It all started when the ladies of LC28 decided they wanted to make a difference in our community. Even a small act of kindness can have a significant impact on someone’s life, and thus the “Sausage Roll Drive” project was initiated.
The ladies met up at a local garage where the sausage roll assembling began, accompanied by chatting and laughing as they worked. There's something so magical about coming together with a common goal of spreading joy. All of this would not have been possible without the donations of local businesses who gave so willingly to those in need. A big thank you to our donor who asked to remain anonymous for the sausages, and to the Shell garage for allowing LC28 to prepare the meals in their
kitchen with the help of their extremely friendly and professional staff members.
Once the sausage rolls were ready, we loaded them into our cars and set off on our journey.
Our first stop was the special needs home. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and acceptance. The residents welcomed us with open arms, eagerly accepting the sausage rolls and engaging us in conversation. It's a reminder that kindness knows no bounds and that everyone deserves to feel loved and valued.
Next, we visited two of the local orphanages. As we distributed the sausage rolls, we were met with grateful smiles and heartfelt thank you’s. It's a humbling experience, knowing that something as simple as a sausage roll can bring so much joy to the people who have dedicated their lives to looking after young children who cannot fend for themselves.
Needless to say, the world would be a very dark and scary place if it didn’t have these rare
angels who have stepped up and offered to help protect those in need.
Our final stop was to distribute a meal to people in need throughout the community.
Whether it was a homeless individual or a struggling family. The gratitude we received from these individuals were overwhelming, reminding us of the power of compassion and empathy.
It's not just about the sausage rolls; it's about the connections we made and the lives we touched. In a world filled with so much negativity, it's heartwarming to see the impact a small group of dedicated individuals can have.
Together, we are making our community a better place, one act of kindness at a time.
Yours in friendship and in service

In an adventure that was nothing short of spectacular, Witbank LC26 Chairman, Diane Fourie, donned her traveling boots, setting off on a remarkable journey that would see her connecting with Ladies Circles from every corner of South Africa. The destination? The Estcourt Ladies Circle In-Formation Charter Weekend—a celebration of camaraderie, joy, and the spirit of togetherness.
Amidst the festivities, Diane found herself immersed in the joy of building new friendships and strengthening the bonds of old companionship. The Estcourt Ladies Circle In-Formation Charter Weekend was a resounding success, and LC26 extends heartfelt congratulations to the hosting Circle, wishing them countless years of joyful circling ahead.
But the adventure didn't end there. On her return journey, Diane was joined by none other than LCSA President, Riana Klopper, and Edenvale LC4 Chairman, Cherise Hamman. Together, they embarked on a road trip filled with laughter, stories, and the joy of shared experiences. Making a pitstop in Middelburg, the trio expanded their party, welcoming Witbank LC26 Webmaster, Sandra Lawrenson, and RT26 Secretary, John Robbert Smith, for a spontaneous social gathering.
Our Chairman, Diane, is truly the heartbeat of LC26—keeping us on our toes with her infectious energy and unwavering commitment to fostering connections. We celebrate Diane's journey, applaud the success of Estcourt Ladies Circle InFormation, and eagerly anticipate the stories that will continue to unfold as our LC26 adventures persist. Cheers to the spirit of Ladies Circle and the incredible women who make it shine!
