Wednesday 19th, 26th July, 9th, 16th August Hinckley Bid’s Summer of Fun, Castle Street Outdoor children’s entertainment during the school summer holidays at various times.

Monday 31st July to Friday 4th August Snapdragon Children & Family Festival, Argents Mead & Town Centre 5th annual Snapdragon Family Festival. Lots of activities for all to get involved in. Each day will have a different theme.

Sunday 27th August, 11am onwards Companion Dog Show, Burbage Common Heart of England Dog Shows are holding a Scarecrow themed Companion Dog Show with all proceeds going to East Midlands Dog Rescue. August Bank Holiday Flower Festival, St Marys Church, Barwell The theme for the festival is Movies, Music, Manuscripts & Masterpieces (Faith in the Arts). There will be various Stalls and Refreshments in the Village hall and also a concert on Saturday 26th starting at 19:30 by the Church Lads, Church Girls Brigade. Concert Tickets will be £5. Opening times are as follows: Sat 26th 10:00 to 18:00 with a Concert starting at 19:30 Sun 27th 14:00 to 17:30 with Evensong starting at 18:00 Mon 28th 10:00 to 18:00

The Hinckley Scribblers We meet every Friday from 10:30am to 12:30pm in the Hinckley Library. If you enjoy writing in any genre, want to start writing, or have already been published, then this is the place for you. We are a very friendly group, of all ages and would love you to join us. Hinckley Ramblers Meet at the Visitor Centre, Burbage Common weekly every Wednesday morning 10:00am 10:30am throughout the year. To ensure everyone can join in there are three categories: slow, medium and long. There is a group leader for each group to ensure everyone is fine and first aid is also available for the groups. All categories and ages are welcome and the Hinckley group currently has an age range of 2 weeks old to 90+ years old! However the walks are not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. If you fancy seeing why walking is so good for you and not sure where to go then just turn up any Wednesday wearing suitable clothing and footwear. Celebrated their 80th Anniversary 1936 – 2016 We play home matches at Hollycroft Park and away matches at local Bowling Clubs. New members are welcomed with coaching and equipment available. Tel 01455 238531 for further information.
