Welcome It’s great to be here today. Looking forward to a good game. Hope the weather is ok and we get a big crowd. We play about 10 games between March and October. Lads love getting together for these games.

Tom is the Manager of the Legends and the Leicester City Masters (indoor 6-a-side) team. The Leicester City Masters were national Champions in 2005 and 2007. Tom has over 30 trophies and he has played over 100 games for the Legends. He also played in the team that beat Celtic 3 - 0 in Tenerife in the European Masters in 2008.

Good afternoon Welcome to Anstey Nomads Football Club. I would like to start by thanking our hosts for letting us have use of this amazing facility for the day.

We are all here today to raise funds for two great charities, Rainbows Children’s Hospice and Wishes4Kids.

The Team at Natterjacks have kindly sponsored our brand new kits, that are on show today and I would also like to thank them for the recent support they have given to the newly formed Macee FC. I would also like to thank the team at SB Aluminium Services for their continued support.

Moving on to the Game this afternoon, I would like to thank Tom Naughton of the Leicester Legends for being such a great help in getting this all arranged and the rest of the team for giving up their time for such a great cause, massive thanks to you guys.

This programme has been put together at such short notice and for that I must give thanks to Debbie Heron of Roundabout Hinckley, firstly for the advice given and secondly for delivering a great service and product.

Thank you to all the people and businesses that have helped in donating either cash or the prizes that are up for grabs today and to the people that are giving their time to help staff the stalls, hats off to you all.

“Wishes 4 Kids was created in September 2002 to grant a wish for children and young people who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas or have suffered major abuse.

The Charity grants wishes for children of eighteen years and below, residing in Leicestershire or treated in Leicestershire hospitals.

A child’s wish can be anything from meeting a celebrity/sports personality to receiving the latest IT equipment. Our most popular wish is to go to Disneyland Paris where the child and their family receive a three day VIP trip and get to see all of their favourite characters.

Since the Charity began, we have granted nearly 5500 wishes, averaging a wish every day.

We believe that all very poorly children deserve a happy moment to remember for the rest of their lives. To see the excitement overtake the suffering of a child is to see the real objective of a wish being achieved�.

Daniel Arnold, parent of Macee We’d like to thank everyone for coming to this fun day in memory of our little princess Macee-Mae to raise much needed funds for two amazing charities.

Rainbows Children’s Hospice and Wishes 4 Kids have not only helped our daughter, they help a lot of other children every day. Macee loved going over to Rainbows Children’s Hospice and used to have a fun packed day every time using the sensory room, the hydro pool and even having massages.

If Macee was having a bad day and not too happy, this used to always cheer her up.

Wishes 4 Kids sent Macee on her own spa day where she had a day all about Macee, she had full use of a Jacuzzi and sauna for a day, massages which she loved and got to have a lovely cup of coffee while she was there. There was no price that could match the smile on Macee’s face that day.

They then sent her to Disneyland Paris where again everything was about Macee, she even got to meet Minnie Mouse which made her day. We are forever grateful to both these amazing charities for helping put a smile on our daughters face and ours too. We love and miss Macee more than anything and find keeping ourselves as busy as we can and trying to help other children and families in the same position, the best way to help ourselves go forward. Nothing is more rewarding than putting a smile on your child’s face and all money raised at this fun day will do that.

Macees team list Our playing squad today is made up of past and present friends of Macee’s family, some for as long as 30 years. This is a core of people that have stuck together during difficult times for the family all offering support in different ways. Special mention to the people of New Parks and the support groups that have helped the family in the difficult times they have faced.

Josh Wood: Another whippet, he’s an animal inside, wears weird clothes.

Joshua Jones: The Tank in the middle and the biggest drinker of the squad. He’s the bouncer.

Kyle Sylvester: Been around the squad a couple of years, genuine nice lad always a solid shift from him.

Sheldon Dodd: “Big Shak” always good for ten minutes, footwork used to be quick and smooth.

Daniel “Harry” Arnold: If Dan (“Harry”) does get to play then you will be mesmerised by his dazzling runs from his own area, we all love him.

John Tointon: One of the family’s best friends for a long time, “loose cannon”.
