St Mary’s Christmas Tree Festival 2018 2018 has been a year of change and new opportunities at St Mary’s Church: our vicar has left and we are praying for whoever our next vicar will be; we have signed up to be an Inclusive Church, restating our commitment to making God’s love for every person known; and we have been moving things around with hopes to use the church space more creatively in the new year. However, some things don’t change and we are delighted to be able to welcome you to St Mary’s Church for our 8th Christmas Tree Festival, made possible by the numerous charities, schools, businesses and other groups who have worked so hard decorating beautiful trees for all of us to enjoy. We are grateful to everyone who has shared the gifts God has given to them, those who are creative decorators, organised planners, or practical doers moving trees around, thank you for sharing your gifts with us and the community.

We believe that sharing the trees with everyone in Hinckley echoes that first Christmas: Just as our Christmas Tree Festival is for everybody, we remember that Jesus came to earth to share the gift of God’s love with each one of us. This year was a year of change at St Mary’s Church, but God remains unchanged. Know that whatever changes your year may have held, God’s love remains for you and for each one of us. If you would like to know more about God’s love for you, please do get in touch as we would be delighted to journey with you. God bless us all this Christmastime.
