This quote explains exactly what digital learning is all about: bringing the role players in education together Let's explore the meaning of digital learning and how it plays a part in today’s educational world
Digital learning is any type of learning accompanied by technology. Technology such as phones, laptops, tablets, smartboards, etc., makes learning a whole lot easier. We will now probe deeper into why digital learning is rapidly increasing by outlining some of its key benefits
There are many advantages to technology-enhanced learning:
Accessibility: Learning can occur anywhereand anytime using a technological device This enables distance learning, which accommodates distant learners who cannot make it to a specific physical location Teachers can give lessons virtually to learners in the comfort of their own homes, and this helps them stay up to date with their work.
Collaboration: It brings all contributors in the educational sector together Communication between learners, teachers, parents, and their local communityis effortless They can stay connected through group chats through social media platforms such as WhatsApp or Telegram Miscommunication is then prevented because they receive direct information from one another
More fun and engaging: Lessons no longer have to be taught in the same traditional manner where the teacher just stands in front of the board and writes notes for learners to copy down Teachers can now use more intriguing and varied ways to educate learners. Smartboards or projectors can be utilised to play educational videos or movies or to demonstrate presentations with pictures and colours to teach lessons. These forms of teaching that contain imagery and audio cater for learners with different learning styles. Children tend to learn better from something entertaining; thus, the more interactive and lively the lesson is, the more they are likely to learn.
Vast knowledge: While textbooks are trusted sources for research, they can sometimes be quite outdated, whereas the internet is updated with recent events on a daily basis. This does not mean that textbooks should be disregarded; rather, they should be used as a foundation of knowledge, and the internet should be used to expand on it Through internet research, learners are more aware of what is happening around them
Leads to innovation: Technology-related learning allows both teachers and learners to think outside the box Modern-day solutions start to develop for modern-day problems In the next paragraph, let’s explore further how innovation in education is growing
Innovation occurs when you look at problems with an open mind and find creative new methods to improve or solve them Some examples of innovation in education include the following:
Blended learning: A common argument is that schools do not prepare learners well enough for the work environment, where more technology is generally used Blended learning combines traditional and digital learning Some lessons can be conducted physically in class, while others can be done virtually via Zoom or Skype, giving learners the best of both methods
Flipped classroom: Often, teachers use class time to explain a topic to learners and then give them home work to complete by themselves at home A flipped classroom means swapping that around where learners watch video lessons or presentations at home and complete their homework activities in class It is a unique approach that increases interactivity during class time After establishing an understanding of the topic, learners can apply and discuss what they’ve learned in class Learning shifts from teacher-centered to the learner-centered
Artificial Intelligence: Although AI is still new to the education sector, it is growing more and more each day AI is now being used to grade online assignments and quizzes A recent development is plagiarism detectors such as Turnitin, which work by determining the originality of a student’s work
Like anything else, despite the many amazing advantages of digital learning in education, there are also disadvantages Some cons of technological learning are listed below:
The Digital Divide: Even though technology is so common, a percentage of people still do not have any access to it. This creates a classroom divide, leaving learners with minimal or no access behind. The more digital learning is implemented, the more they fall back.
Digital literacy: We may have all the technology around us, but making good use of it requires technological comprehension. Not everyone is the same; certain teachers may struggle to use technology without training. Fancy apps are programmed in distinct ways, and users will need in-depth training to facilitate them.
Misguiding Information and Cheating: Not everything on the internet is true information Learners are at risk of being exposed to the wrong information There are also many websites and apps that influence learners to cheat because of how simple they are to use Cheating possibilities have risen with the spread of technology
Nevertheless, with the above-mentioned issues related to digital learning, technology is growing and will continue to grow The best way forward would be to solve these problems as opposed to discouraging the use of technology because of them Children are already using technology outside of the educational world at ages as young as 2 years old, so why not use it in education to guide them further and make learning more relatable?

In the age of social media, where our daily inspiration comes from a feed of Instagram selfies and You-tube tutorials all telling us how to “get fit fast”, We often set unrealistic beauty standards and unnecessary pressure to see results instantly Our goals have become superficial We focus on a lot on how we look and overlook the major benefits that come along side living a healthy lifestyle We need to shift our focus
You’ve probably heard this before “fitness is a journey” and that’s exactly where we should start When we understand that it’s a lifestyle because it takes a lifetime of consistency and discipline We then understand that it is a long process and if we focus on the little goals, we achieve along the way it makes it harder to get discouraged by the number on the scale There are so many things that we are most likely to overlook, like the fact that you now have more energy, you’re sleeping better, your mood has improved and then there are the things you might never know such as your mental health improving as well as your muscles are stronger which assists in relieving pressure on your joints, you have better heart health, blood circulation, flexibility and mobility. The list is endless.
Okay but let’s be honest, even knowing all these benefits we still tend to feel unmotivated to work out and sick of stressing about our super strict diet plan that’s impossible to stick to Well, I might have your solution
Here are five fast fixes to make sure you stick to those fitness lifestyle changes:

Always remember your why – reminding yourself why you started implementing healthier habits can be the motivation you need to stay discipline in your day
2 Make time for yourself –We are often so focused on filling everyone else’s cup we don’t make time to fill our own and you simply can’t pour from an empty cup Make sure you plan a set time for yourself this way you don’t feel neglected or unable to fit in even a quick 30 min workout
Find what works for you – find the correct diet and workout plan that suits your needs you don’t have to do Pilates just because Kendal Jenner said so Find what activity or diet you enjoy doing and can stick to It could be swimming, Padel tennis, martial arts or all of the above. What matters is that you enjoy it and that’s what will help keep you consistent.
3. Get a workout buddy – having a partner to workout with or even diet with makes it so much easier to stay disciplined because you keep each other in check 4
5 Pace yourself – its easy to get overly excited and take on more than we can handle More often than not we start intense diet plans and workout regimes and give up after two weeks because it’s too hard to stick with. When you slowly implement good habits over a period of time it makes it that much easier to stick to.
Living a healthy lifestyle does not have to be a chore, its actually the best thing you could do for yourself Ask any person who you find inspiring, they tend to speak more about their progress rather than the results and that’s exactly how to achieve your goals, by focusing on the progress we make every day consistently rather than the end goal entirely. You are your only competition.
