RESPIRATORYSYNCYTIALVIRUS(RSV):Acommoncauseforbronchiolitisand pneumoniaininfantsandchildrenunderage2.Pleasekeepyourchildathomeuntil theyarewithoutfeverfor24hours.Pleaseinformyourteacher.
SORETHROAT:Ifyourchildhasbeendiagnosedwithastrepinfection,thechildshould beonantibiotics24hoursbeforereturningtoclass.
VOMITING:Twoormoreepisodesinthe12hourspriortoclass.
HEADLICE:Yourchildisnotrequiredtostayhomeandyoudonotneedtoreporthead licetoyourchild’steacher.Iflicehavebeenfound,treatmentshouldbedoneathome.
Minnesotalawrequiresstudentstobeimmunizedagainstcertaindiseasesorhavea signed,legalmedicalorconscientiousexemptionkeptinthestudenthealthrecord.
RosevilleAreaSchoolsiscommittedtoprovidinglearningandworkenvironmentsthat arehealthyandsafeforallstudentsandstaff.Tothisend,alldistrictschoolsand instructionalsupportfacilitieshavebeendesignatedaslatex-reducedenvironments. Inalignmentwiththedistrict,wearecommittedtopreventingandrespondingtoactsof bullying,intimidation,violence,andotherprohibitedconduct.RosevilleAreaSchoolshas revisedPolicy508-BullyingProhibitiontocomplywiththerequirementsoftheSafeand SupportiveSchoolAct,MNStatutes121a.031.
Bullyingincludes:repeated,intimidating,threatening,abusive,orharmingconductthat substantiallyinterfereswithastudent’seducationalopportunitiesorperformance,ability toparticipateinschoolfunctionsoractivitiesorreceiveschoolbenefits,servicesor privileges.Thisincludescyberbullying,whichistheuseoftechnologyorotherelectronic communicationtransmittedthroughacomputer,cellphoneorotherelectronicdeviceto bully.
Noteacher,administratororotheremployeeoftheschooldistrictwillknowinglypermit, condoneortoleratebullying.Theschooldistrictwillinvestigatecomplaintsofbullyingby studentsandtakeappropriateactionagainstanystudentwhoisfoundtohaveviolated thispolicy.
