The semester project is based on a project that Temple University might consider for relocating the School of Music from Boyer Hall to a prominent location that would support public events facing Broad Street.
Showcasing the integration of North Philadelphia art and the Boyer School of Music and where the edge combines together
COLLAGE
With our design, we aim to address the invisible divide between Temple’s campus and the greater North Philadelphia neighborhood. We see our proposed building design for the Boyer School of Music as a gateway to Temple’s campus from North Philadelphia and vice versa. We are proposing a building that is visually integrated into the cityscape of North Philadelphia by using recycled brick from demolished buildings, scrap metal from old factories and other large abandoned facilities, and incorporating the use of brightly painted murals like those found throughout the area. Not only do we hope to better blend the building visually, but also socially, as our architecture, much like the Boyer School of Music program, invites the greater neighborhood to participate in and enjoy the space through the intermingling of open public green spaces, musical performance and educational spaces With our design we propose an Edge Intervention

Medicine is moving towards a preventive, personalized, and participative approach and I believe the architecture should also encapsulate that approach. The design of a pediatric oncology facility can significantly impact the physical and emotional well-being of children with cancer diagnoses
Architecture can play an important role in improving the quality of life for these children and their families by incorporating elements that support their physical and emotional needs. Architecture can play an important role in supporting the well-being of children with cancer diagnoses. Architecture has the capability to assure that the space around these kids is protective, interactive, secure, and hopeful so they can feel at peace through the emotional turmoil that cancer causes Architecture can influence the mental state of a child and their family fighting cancer through its inviting spaces, embracement of nature, sensorial experiences, and comfortable interactions

Climate Positive Concrete Housing - redefining multi-family affordable living while enriching community bonds In crafting this project, I delved deep into the essence of Harrisonburg, fondly known as the “Friendly City”, and its diverse fabric Thus, the Friendly City Expansion was born, addressing the need for affordable housing for minority low-income families. Inspired by Harrisonburg’s inclusivity, our design features intertwining exterior staircases, offering connectivity and privacy. Halffloors with exterior balconies encourage communal living, transcending traditional boundaries Utilizing precast concrete and harnessing the region’s temperate climate, our design promotes sustainability A public rooftop garden and permeable pavement pathways further enhance ecological harmony

09. Combining E-1027 + National Museum of African American History and Culture
Year | Fall 2020
Project | The architectural fusion, seamlessly intertwines the avant-garde elegance of Eileen Gray's E-1027 with the monumental presence of David Adjaye's National Museum of African American History and Culture. This digital synthesis creates a harmonious marriage of diverse influences, where E-1027's sleek lines and geometric precision find resonance within the sculptural volumes and symbolic forms of Adjaye's masterpiece. The result is a captivating blend of modernist subtlety and cultural richness, as the digital amalgamation reimagines the spatial experiences and narratives inherent in both architectural wonders. This innovative collaboration envisions a space that transcends temporal and cultural boundaries offering a fresh perspective on the dialogue between modernist design principles and the profound storytelling embedded in the African American experience.
