Il giorno 16 febbraio 2016 per le strade di Verona si è svolta la XXIII° edizione dell’Eurocarnevale il “GUGGEMUSIK FESTVAL” con oltre 1000 partecipanti tra musicisti e musicanti. La manifestazione ha avuto luogo in una giornata quasi primaverile tenuto conto che siamo ancora in pieno inverno. La città è stata invasa da un fiume di personaggi mascherati in modo curioso per noi “latini” visto che lo stile musicale e i loro travestimenti sono prettamente tipici del Centro/Nord Europa. Spettacolari le maschere e i costumi, un’orda barbarica colorata e festante ci ha invaso in modo pacifico e con un unico scopo divertirsi e far divertire. Le immagini che propongo in questo quaderno sono fondamentalmente dei ritratti fatti per strada durante la manifestazione . L’intento è quello di proporre, tra i tanti momenti, qualche scena gustosa oltre a far trapelare la goliardia dei vari gruppi in un caleidoscopio di colori e di maschere in un raro periodo di spensieratezza. Manca solo la musica. Gabriele Rodriquez The day February 16, 2016 in the streets of Verona there was the XXIII edition dell’Eurocarnevale the “GUGGEMUSIK FESTVAL” with more than 1000 musicians. The event took place on a day almost spring considering that we are still in the middle of winter. The city was invaded by a river of masked characters so curious to us, “Latin” because the musical style and their disguises are strictly typical of Central / Northern Europe. Spectacular masks and costumes, colored, festive barbarian horde invaded us in a peaceful way and with a single purpose to have fun and entertain. The images that I propose in this book are basically portraits made for road during the event. The intent is to propose, among many moments, a few scenes tasty addition to leak the fun spirit of the various groups in a kaleidoscope of colors and masks in a rare period of thoughtlessness. Gabriele Rodriquez (Verona 1960) Vive a Verona, Italia. Sposato con 3 figli. Docente di materie aziendali fino al 1997. Esercita la professione di Dottore Commercialista dal 1990. Prestato alla fotografia, fin da giovane questa è diventata un’attività che via via si è rivelata più che una passione, più che un semplice hobby. La fotografia ha riempito probabilmente un’area della sua vita culturale che gli studi seguiti hanno solo sfiorato. Nel corso della sua attività ha conseguito 52 primi premi in vari contest nelle varie piattaforme specialistiche di cui 2 internazionali, varie mostre singole e collettive, relatore in varie occasioni divulgative di incontri con l’autore.
