Market Update
The harvests in West Africa began in October 2022, and the forecasts are encouraging. However, chocolate is suffering from inflation, and consumption is down. Prices for 2023 will continue to rise if chocolate sales continue to fall. The cocoa powder market continues to be particularly dynamic despite the rising prices.

A cool new format for the nutrition and supplement space was debuted at the Natural Products Expo by NuTraditions. They create wellness products combining modern convenience and ancient herbal formulations based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. They recently introduced four new herbal products in the form of oral supplement strips.

Robertet has officially launched its startup accelerator, Villa Blu. The program is set to host 20 startups simultaneously. The startups will cater to natural sectors including ingredients, fragrances, food flavorings as well as health and well-being active ingredients.
Welcoming those who want to make a difference, spotting talent, making necessary skills and networks available to them, providing products, technologies and services are all goals that Villa Blu has set itself for facilitating the emergence of innovation and the construction of a sustainable future in its territory.
In March, the inaugural five companies have been selected to join the accelerator, then every six months, five new companies will be invited to join over the next two years (until 2025).
The Villa Blu facility resides in Grasse, with three levels of operations and one reception level. The program is set to entrepreneurial support. Each startup company will have access to process equipment, analysis and development laboratories as well as regulatory support.
