Our Programs
Ronald McDonald House Programs – Portland & Bangor
When the best medical treatment for a child is far from home, families don’t have to worry about where to stay At the Ronald McDonald House, families can be together, enjoy home-cooked meals and receive compassionate hospitality and support from staff and volunteers all near the hospital
Ronald McDonald Family Rooms – Portland (MaineHealth BBCH) & Bangor (Northern Light EMMC)
A quiet place away from the medical space, for families to recharge, grab a bite to eat, or get rest during long days of testing or treatment
Family-Centered Care

Providing compassionate, family-centered spaces as a bridge to quality healthcare for families who live many miles away from the hospital or specialty treatment

72% of families cannot contribute the suggested $10 per night donation.

Eligibility
Any family who needs a place to stay while their child is hospitalized or receiving treatment, including parents/guardians, siblings, and grandparents
Referrals are typically made by the child life specialist or social worker at the hospital or treatment center
Individuals on the national SOR or with an open CPS case are not eligible to stay in our House programs for the safety of all guests.
