SCRATCHING POST WEEKLY NEWSLETTER ISSUE 7 | 16/07/2020
COVID-19 AND YOUR STUDIES TAFE NSW is undertaking modified face to face delivery under risk assessments to ensure you are safe and well whilst onsite. As you are aware we have started back over the last few weeks with face to face delivery adhering to 1.5m social distancing to finish off learners current course practicals onsite. Next week 20/7/2020 we start the new semester classes for our TVETS, and continuing students in CIII Captive Animals and CIV Vet nursing, as well as finishing off students with practicals in our CII and CIII Animal studies from Semester 1 2020. We are reminding students to wear a face mask and respect social distancing. If you are unwell or exhibiting flu/cold symptoms please do not attend class. Please be prac ready with scrub tops and appropriate clothing/shoes. This week we have started scanning learners with an infrared thermometer to ensure that learners do not have fevers to reduce the risk and ensure your safety given the current COVID-19 case increase in the Sydney metropolitan area. Those learners who scan red will be asked to go home for the day due to illness. We have extended all learners enrolments out to September or end of year, as well as reducing the amount of work placement hours required for our CII and CIII Animal Studies qualification given the amount of practical work we are currently undertaking onsite and at the university. CII animal studies is now 100 hours and CIII Animal Studies is 150 hours. Other qualifation hours remain the same.
